Wouldn't disc capacity be more of a issue than the controller? I recall sports games having smaller music selections on the gamecube as a result.

DS is the most overrated console of all time. Has nothing but Dragon Quest ports and visual novels.
It's the only way to play Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem. That alone justifies the Gamecube's existence.
