Sins of the Solar Empire if you decide to play as the Vasari or The A*vent.
You can get a pretty shitty jetpack for the power armor, so sort of. Fallout:NV modders have a drivable car mod that works way better than it should in that old ass engine not designed for it, but Bethesda can't manage to do it.
Can't or won't?
The way Fallout maps are designed aren't vehicle friendly at all. Everything's so compact you can't go 10 meters without running into an enemy encounter. Skyrim has more empty spaces so they get horses.
Extreme mental gymnastics portrayed ITT
The homosexuals who defend this keep buying unfinished, buggy games and accelerating this industry into the garbage

Will play it with all the mod fixes and overhauls after you Black folk on Ganker have stopped cumming and gushing over a shitpile then eating it
Pathetic. I'm so done with this nonsense that we can't have options that were available 10 years ago. I will play it eventually, when it's on sale for $15
Please, stop with the $6 billion dollar games that can't do what Xbox 360 games had. This is so sad.
Good. If any of you played NMS you'd agree that ground vehicles are pointless in a game like this, they'd be the jeeps from Shadow the Hedgehog, or the truck from Death Stranding.
kys moron, NMS ground vehicles are like the one thing that game did right and their only flaw is that they're in a game that is thoroughly pointless and uninteresting in every other way
Are you kidding me? They suck, the Roamer is barely even a glorified golf cart and all of them actually require fuel so you actively have to keep the tank full.
I will give you the Colossus, I like the design and storage capacity
dudes right, base ground vehicles suck in NMS, they eat fuel...but the submarine? Frickin beautiful even at base! if you aren't in a rush you can always yame a beasty and ride it
Frankly the only thing I might want in Starfield in regards to a 'vehicle' would be like a deployable drone that you could use as a scout of sorts, marking enemies at a camp and so on. Strangely enough I stole this idea from Ghost Recon Wildlands.
only drones I see in nms sky are sentinel drones baybee, plus your visor in nms replaces any need for a drone, no autonomous mining unless you set up a farm, which guess what? requires fuel also. Wildlands was a shit game, felt like that had to be said
11 months ago
Anonymous
Nah I get that I was just offhandedly saying Ghostlands drones would be handy in Starfield as a tool to ping enemies in a camp.
>he thinks bethesda's dogshit engine they've been using since morrowind in 2003 can handle vehicles >when it still shits itself when you go over 60fps
the ship flying is going to be a fricking nightmare in this game, i can just feel it in my soul
I'm reminded of the myriad ways the horsecart in Skyrim's intro can break and its completely fricking scripted
Eagerly expecting launch day bugkino webms that will put Cyberpunk to shame
Wonder if we can go full Mando in this game.
Does the main character has an specific characteristic that forces the players to follow an ultimate path, much as the Dragonborn and the Vaultdweller.
or the main character only has an artifact and you as the player design the ways of the character and its backstory?
It would suck if the character growth is locked under the main story.
In Skyrim it sucks to be the Dragonborn, you can do whatever the frick you want but ultimately you're tied to the call of the greybeards.
I wager they'll do it a bit like Skyrim where there's lots of career side-quest chains where you can progress through the ranks to get stronger in certain professions, but also a main story with the artifact that is the driving impetus for the beginning and the end.
Basicaly a Fallout 4 in space. We will probably have to mod vehicles until the DLC with vehicle arrives. Then Nexus will delete most mods with vehicles because this now payed content.
Bethesda knows that the average gamer is a drooling moron who needs to be protected from their own stupidity. They know that people would drive around for hours, spawning every unique location in a short time and then complain that the game is too empty and has only procedurally generated locations.
They had the same problem with fallout 4 where New Vegas fans that can't think for themselves only did Minuteman quests for hours and then complained that there's nothing else but settlements in the game.
>lmao why do you nerds even care about vehicles and shit, go play a driving simulator. grug just want to shoot enemies!!!! >wtf why this game have no cars??? grug want to drive >:(
Vehicles in these games are more annoying than useful. >get on horse >ride 10 feet >see something interesting >get off horse >interact, explore, fight >get back on horse >ride 10 feet
I could have just fricking walked and saved the hassle of getting on and off.
>have vehicles >have to design content for vehicles >which means more nothing in between content to justify using vehicle for long distances >this means more people will get bored since they have to get off and get back on the vehicles to see anything >why not just design all content to be close and visitable on foot
As a game design it makes sense why they wouldnt include vehicles.
It's just reskinned fallout 4 with mods on the same shitty creation engine, I look forward to the shitstorm when it will be the most overhyped game of the year and get shit by journalist who played bg3
People made fricking cars in Fallout New Vegas. Give it a few years and someone's gonna use the space/air vehicle code, parent it to the terrain somehow and let you run over those nerf herders like God intended.
For the last god damn time: The new vegas version of the engine is so much more open than any other bethesda engine. There's a reason FNV has the most autistic mods out there and thats because they aren't limited by the engine.
It's been going downhill since then. Look at all the shit that was a basic feature in FNV and has to be clunkily modded into F4: >reloading revolvers 1 by 1 or "round in the chamber" reloads >ammo types changed by pressing 2 >holster weapons on your back or hip
Or look at the FNV mods that do everything from giving you double jumps, bullet time, driveable cars and god knows what else. Or Skyrim with hundreds of magic effects, completely revamped perk trees and level/skill balancing.
Look at these mods, they do the very same thing: >https://mods.bethesda.net/en/fallout4/mod-detail/4073185 >https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/49478
But only one of them comes with a pretty seamless UI integration, and a simple hotkey for switching modes. The other one requires you to wear a special item or consume a modded item and makes use of a button that's already assigned to a vanilla function.
But hey, at least you can haul your ass to a workbench every 20 minutes to play around with my toddlers drawings of weapons and armor to give them le magic incendiary effect.
Ground vehicles feel like dogshit in any game that doesn’t have paved roads. Considering the game takes place on harsh terrain and unexplored planets it’s honestly going to be much easier using a jetpack. It’s like horses in BoTW, utterly useless for 90% of instances due to the vertically of exploring.
It is a strange omission to not have a little buggy or something in your ship. There's no real reason not to except for some technical limitation but its not making me feel like cancelling the preorder. Anyway we don't actually know how big or small the planets are going to be yet. I don't think they are going to be full-scale, I got a feeeling they are going to be mini-planets.
The game is out in 21 days and we still haven't gotten any uninterrupted footage without jump cuts or a hands on demo from someone that doesn't work for Bethesda. What's up with that?
I've been shilling it quite a lot the past year because I love the idea of a big Beth game set in space, but now that it's nearing release I'm getting pretty worried because how how little confidence they appear to have in the game. It reminds me a bit of CP2077 with its heavily curated media previews. It might be a technical disaster upon release and that's why they're keeping such a tight lid on it.
Just another reason why this game is casual shit. When are you homosexuals going to admit that it's worth investing time in Star Citizen instead, despite it being unfinished? Unfinished bootleg games are genuinely better than big budget commercial garbage these days.
they have never made good mounts they cant even make decent basic character controls, playing bethesda games today feels like your playing a PS1 old 3D game its janky and shit on top of their fricking awful animation system

Link the convo next time
And it's still going to btfo every other game that released this year
Ganker is always ALWAYS wrong
Based, mounts are always janky and interrupt the flow. Just don't make shit 5km away from each other and we won't need tRaVeRsAl oPtIoNs.
I have not once enjoyed a Bugthesda "joint" and I won't be playing this game, however.
>My purchase?
Not happening
Day 365 Pirate
Will play it with all the mod fixes and overhauls after you Black folk on Ganker have stopped cumming and gushing over a shitpile then eating it
last post best post. also this
As long as I can rocket boost all over the map like you can in Tribes I'm good.
Haha remember when Bethesda removed levitation because it would interfere with their instanced cities...
This is pure copium
Someone needs to make a Shazzam list because this is HILARIOUS
>Next-gen gaming.
This is, and has always been a buzz word
Wildlands was a shit game, felt like that had to be said
Nah I get that I was just offhandedly saying Ghostlands drones would be handy in Starfield as a tool to ping enemies in a camp.
>he thinks bethesda's dogshit engine they've been using since morrowind in 2003 can handle vehicles
>when it still shits itself when you go over 60fps
the ship flying is going to be a fricking nightmare in this game, i can just feel it in my soul
>”next gen”
>it’s essentially a fan mod for a game that came out almost 10 years ago
Why do bethesda drones buy this kind of shit? FO4 was already bad enough when it came out
Ever since Peter Molyneux died of ligma, its up to Todd to tell the biggest most bodacious lies
I feel like i've answer this question way to much.
Shouldn't it be common knowledge at this point? Mods are a massive selling point.
Basicaly a Fallout 4 in space. We will probably have to mod vehicles until the DLC with vehicle arrives. Then Nexus will delete most mods with vehicles because this now payed content.
There will be leftover horse code from Elder Scrolls in the engine that can be repurposed into a moon buggy surely
Watch this shit not even be able to get to 60fps on pc when it comes out even though it visually looks like a fricking unity game
i have never had fun driving around in a vehicle in some game that isnt specifically a racing game
just adds nothing
>engine still bound by framerate specific bugs
What fricking year is it, 2010? Jesus christ bethesda what a joke
PREEZE UNDERSTANDU THE PS5ERU CANNOT HANDERU VROOM VEROOMERU
i hope i can be a space pirate storyline
You can have your 3 quest chain about edgy piratey stuff and then you have to do the MQ where you're a shining beacon of altruism
Every Toddslop game.
uh oh stargoys, didnt we got promised giant planets full of content?
But the playtesters said it's super fun!!!
Bethesda knows that the average gamer is a drooling moron who needs to be protected from their own stupidity. They know that people would drive around for hours, spawning every unique location in a short time and then complain that the game is too empty and has only procedurally generated locations.
They had the same problem with fallout 4 where New Vegas fans that can't think for themselves only did Minuteman quests for hours and then complained that there's nothing else but settlements in the game.
>lmao why do you nerds even care about vehicles and shit, go play a driving simulator. grug just want to shoot enemies!!!!
>wtf why this game have no cars??? grug want to drive >:(
even scam shitizen and eon old ME1 can do it, watto da fakku toad.
yeah and every fricking moron complained that the mako was too difficult to drive and that the sections where you had to drive them were boring
So make an easy to drive vehicle and make the sections not boring? moron
*explodes and briefly t-poses*
Star Citizen is godlike a frickings mogs other games with its pinky finger alone.
Look guys! This homosexual fell for the scam citizen?
How much did you invest into the 'future' of gaming anon?
Enjoy your loading screens while I phase through floors into the 9th realm of torment.
It's present gen, not next. It hasn't been next for close to 3 years. Get on with the times.
Vehicles in these games are more annoying than useful.
>get on horse
>ride 10 feet
>see something interesting
>get off horse
>interact, explore, fight
>get back on horse
>ride 10 feet
I could have just fricking walked and saved the hassle of getting on and off.
>have vehicles
>have to design content for vehicles
>which means more nothing in between content to justify using vehicle for long distances
>this means more people will get bored since they have to get off and get back on the vehicles to see anything
>why not just design all content to be close and visitable on foot
As a game design it makes sense why they wouldnt include vehicles.
Vehicles ar-
Because Gamebryo can't handle multiple different physics interacting in the same space. How many times do I have to tell you this?
It's just reskinned fallout 4 with mods on the same shitty creation engine, I look forward to the shitstorm when it will be the most overhyped game of the year and get shit by journalist who played bg3
DLC bait
People made fricking cars in Fallout New Vegas. Give it a few years and someone's gonna use the space/air vehicle code, parent it to the terrain somehow and let you run over those nerf herders like God intended.
For the last god damn time: The new vegas version of the engine is so much more open than any other bethesda engine. There's a reason FNV has the most autistic mods out there and thats because they aren't limited by the engine.
It's been going downhill since then. Look at all the shit that was a basic feature in FNV and has to be clunkily modded into F4:
>reloading revolvers 1 by 1 or "round in the chamber" reloads
>ammo types changed by pressing 2
>holster weapons on your back or hip
Or look at the FNV mods that do everything from giving you double jumps, bullet time, driveable cars and god knows what else. Or Skyrim with hundreds of magic effects, completely revamped perk trees and level/skill balancing.
Look at these mods, they do the very same thing:
>https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/49478
I don't care, I'm still excited for the game.
Stop shitting yourself over promises that were never made, moron.
Soo... how is Star Citizen now?
still stuck in development hell but it's looking a lot better than slop&flopfield L'zanya.
>That's right partner, I'm a bona fide cowboy YE-HAH !!
>What? Ride a horse? Do I look like the dragonborn to you?
>Cowboy Adam Jensen
I’m just glad he’s still working in the industry because Square/Embracer have put our boy on ice for too damn long
>not walking everywhere
Stop being fat
It is a strange omission to not have a little buggy or something in your ship. There's no real reason not to except for some technical limitation but its not making me feel like cancelling the preorder. Anyway we don't actually know how big or small the planets are going to be yet. I don't think they are going to be full-scale, I got a feeeling they are going to be mini-planets.
The game is out in 21 days and we still haven't gotten any uninterrupted footage without jump cuts or a hands on demo from someone that doesn't work for Bethesda. What's up with that?
This is business as usual for bethesda
Bigger issue is Todd confirmed no fishing
modders will put lots of alien mounting to the game, if you catch what i drift
I bet this won't even be noticed once you play, a long range jet pack will suffice I feel.
