There are three types of taro threads.

The beginning of C, to 2Bs death felt extremely rushed. The entire war sequence was really cool, but it's way too short for what it was.
And A2 desperately needed more screen time in the A/B route, she shows up, kills a baby, and leaves.
Great love letter to multiple genres of japanese video games.
-The fusion of genres was neat.
-Innovative use of audio programming, where different layers of the music were mixed in dynamically during certain parts of the game.
Fantastic use of the medium to convey its themes
-for example making you play the first scenario twice, with different characters, gave you an entirely new perspective and made you realise that 2b wasn't the bad ass hero after all, it was in fact 9s saving her ass behind the scenes, every single step of the way.
-Making you play through 2b's death is another example, instead of just showing it to you in a cutscene, they make you play through her final moments, even fricking with your controls to simulate her failing physical state, and then fricking with the screen and audio itself to simulate what she was going through.
There are heaps of other little examples of this throughout the game. Most of it went over peoples heads though coz they were just jerking off to robot butt cheeks.
It finally convinced you to never pay more than 20 bucks for a game ever again.
