It's just kiddyshit. Who cares?
>Nobody seemingly cares
It sold.
Everyone beat it.
What else is there to discuss?
nintendo is shit and whenever you say so, you get told that you are le ebin snoy everytime
nobody wants to pay $60 for a fricking platformer
what are you talking about schizo? it sold millions
The game sold 4.3 million units in its first two weeks of release and became the fastest-selling Super Mario game
Yet nobody remembers it. FOTM slop.
Every new game is flavor of the month slop, zoomie.
What a shock, 5-6 weeks later a 10 hour game with full completion isn't discussed.
There's a recent mindset people have where they think single player games fail if they don't have regular updates or other GAAS nonsense.
What good is a game if it doesn’t have active streaming community for at least a year after its release?
You deserve a stupid Black person award
Because it's not really a masterpiece, it's just another decent 2D Mario game. There's nothing that special about it.
Because it's not about trans right, racism, sexism, capitalism, wokeism or any other political topics
It's simply a good game
I'll pirate it someday.
it's a game you play with friends. it's 4P platformer slop.
the entire platforming designed is done (and crippled) by trying to include 4 players.
I played it before on the Wii. Fine stuff but not looking for a 2D platformer like this
Being an ex nintendo fan, it is the worst game I have ever seen. I can't really believe how bad the taste and standards of zoomers have became. They eat mud and still ask for more.
The problem is Ganker
No one here discuss names unless it has coom, nigs, trannies, or furries in it, or is about autistic story telling for weebs.
>masterpiece
In art design, maybe. At the end of the day, does it shake up the Mario formula in any significant way? No. Same reason why people stopped talking about Tears of the Kingdom and Pikmin 4. I love Nintendo, but this year showed that they are running out of ideas.
when are you gays gonna realize that just because a game doesn't have 24/7 threads on Ganker doesn't mean no one buy or care about the game.
At the same time when you realize nintendo is shit now, which is never ever.
I have not touched Mario Wonder since 100%ing it and have unironically put more hours into Sonic Superstars.
Mario Wonder just has a low skill ceiling and once the initial surprise at the Wonder Effects wears off it's not very fun to replay. It's not even a fun speedrun game because 90% of the levels speedruns involve skipping the Wonder Flower and thus make the stage incredibly short. I think I have just outgrown 2D platformers that don't use physics simulation and momentum
>mario wonder
>$60 for one day of gameplay
>splatoon 3
>$60 for years of gameplay
splatoon is a boring game
mario is a fun game
Don't you have to pay for online to play splatoon? also, to be a fricking e-girlcon too.
ah yes I know you need more interactions online with children
I get why you choose splatroon now
I think gamers spend time… you know, actually playing games instead of talking about them online.
You tried to pull the same shit with TOTK. It didn’t work.
the game is wrapped in the closet as a christmas present for my children, and I'd wager there are thousands of copies in the same situation
I'll discuss it when i get a chance to play it
Just fricking pirate it
Finished it, it was fun
idk why they can't bring back every power up tho
I wouldn't call Wonder a masterpiece, just a consistent and enjoyable game. The wonder effects were fun, and they even developed the gameplay for some of the effects like the goo that sticks to walls and the one where you walk on the background, but they didn't do the same for the plethora of new enemies. One course is not enough to flesh out all the possibilities with Robbirds, or those Skedaddles that spit seeds at you, or the Melon Piranhas, and so on. I have a heightened awareness of that ever since I sank hundreds of hours into Mario Maker 2 and was surprised at just how creative people could be with goombas and koopas for puzzles and platforming and other challenges.
I imagine any course would be difficult to design for when it has to incorporate a wonder flower.
Ganker just wanted porn of elephant mario
I can't believe no ones talking about how they stole the bubble power up from a rom hack.
there's not even any deniability since it works EXACTLY the same way. the exact same costume, the exact same mechanics, enemies turn into coins inside the bubbles and behave the exact same way.
they shamelessly stole it for sure just because they can and itt's the only cool power up in the game.
the stupid fricking elephant still ruined the game tho.
It's such a generic concept, anon.
then why did they copy it down to every last detail?
most games that trap enemies in bubbles don't have a pink and red costume and turn them into coins to save memory.
that's more something a modder editing a 2D snes game would do.
>ice is ice blue
>ice flower makes you ice blue
>soap bubbles are usually either portrayed light blue or pink
>light blue is too close to ice
>use pink instead
it's just the logical conclusion of what color to use if you aren't going to give it a fully unique costume
cloud mario looks like an actual cloud.
elephant mario becomes an elephant.
your argument is invalid.
nintendo likes to go out of there way to stop you from actually playing as mario when it comes to modern power ups. and instead makes some shitty cluttered, anti-aesthetic design that's ugly as frick.
It's a new super mario bros with a better art style.
I honestly found it more forgettable than the one on Wii U.
Way more autoscrollers, no triple jump, just feels less satisfying to play well for a variety of reasons.
>Nobody seemingly cares
>Are traditional 2d Mario games dead?
>Best launch of any Mario game
what more do you want?
>Year of our lord 2023
>Anons still can't comprehend that people finish games
You don't understand everything has to be a fricking team sport supported by Twitch statistics so I can tell if the company that makes my favorite games is "winning"
There’s nothing to make fun of it about beyond its age range (4-10) so not much for either side of the culture wars to seethe about.
