They even changed the movement back to cs:go because all the autistic pro players and "content" creators complained about it, instead of giving us something NEW add weight to the movement and make it a mix of cs:go and cs 1.6 instead of ice skating around the map you stupid fricks. vertigo really now feels like a generic map that just happens to be on a high building, you can barely even fall down from the map now lol
it's a graphics update with questionable performance characteristics and questionable sound redesign. although personally I cannot hear SHIT in CSGO due to how loud the guns and how quiet the foot steps are so I'm fine with ANY change to the sound, it couldn't be worse for me. I don't even use the HRTF feature any more since they messed it up. when they first added it I could hear PERFECTLY. then they changed/nerfed it and that just defeats the purpose. I will never forgive Valve for making CSGO sound perfect and then making it bad again after a while, unless they make it perfect again and leave it perfect this time.
I have modes 1100 hours in csgo and look forward to cs2.
my big gripes is you never know when valve will actually release this and seeing the exploits some of the reworked maps still have it might be a while. valve probably has like 5 people working on this lol
second is we probably wont see a true revolution unless they finish with the AI based anti cheat which again, might be a while
Nobody in this thread complaining about CS2 actually plays CSGO. CS2 is exactly what CSGO players want and the game is more popular than ever right now.
I haven't played CS since 1.6. I feel like I'm so rusty that I'll just get steamrolled by the homosexuals with 3000+ hours in GO unless there are some major changeups. I feel like it's just going to be to GO what Source was to 1.6 though.
Its alright. Thats the best i can say about it. Its a really simplified version of quake as far as movement goes, like theres a character that has an easier time doing bunny hopping and gets bounus speed for it, theres ones that does this crouch sliding thing to zoom around the map, ect.
Valve screwed over the Artifact fanbase by cancelling the Artifact 2.0 beta without even allowing users to invite friends like they said they would in January 2021 and does not deserve your financial support for these gross consumer-unfriendly practices.

They don't need to change it I think it's a good direction, I think it looks great on the new engine and adds some cool effects.

I redownloaded Quake Live instead because I like it when an FPS encourages shooting and movement at the same time.
There are few games i can go on and get my shit pushed in so consistently but still have fun in like quake live.
