Not just furniture, she can summon enemies to fight for you and I remember seeing her summoning fire to burn grass or water to swim up
The problem is, if she can clone anything how are the puzzles going to be designed? Will she get other items? Seems unnecessary since you can do seemingly anything with the rod
Maybe the "items" are rod upgrades
No doubt there will be other gameplay mechanics other than putting blocks down to reach high places, blocking things, and summoning monsters to fight for you.
>No doubt there will be other gameplay mechanics other than putting blocks down to reach high places, blocking things, and summoning monsters to fight for you.
It's weird that people aren't realizing this. We've already seen multiple "functional" items. Particularly, the water blocks, trampoline and the saw enemy you can ride on. I'm sure there's gonna be a bunch of these functional items to use for puzzles.
I hope we can capture enemies and objects that basically make them de facto spells. >fireballs for fire spells >electric bolts for lightning spells >ice crystals for ice spells
etc
>will have to open the single line scroll menu >go over to the monster you want >highlight wizrobe >Zelda summons it >and then monster attacks
Fighting enemies in this game is going to be so slow and tedious and they'll make sure there's no challenge because of the amount of time between "you want to attack the enemy" and "you actually attack the enemy".
The ui has the rod set to right dpad and the others are empty. One of those will obviously be a portal tool to get to dark world/back in time/ whatever the game wants the purple shit to take people to, but the others are open for whatever. I imagine the game will give you some sort of "weapon" even if it's something like the gameboy animal companions
There will probably just be a quick select for objects, a quick select for enemies and a quick select for attacks. Attacks will be things like a fire ball or lightning bolt or something that you copied.
>Now
Hasn't it been outsourced since 1993?
Super was made by Intelligent Systems' Deer Force team.
Prime Series are made by Retro Studios, with the spin-off games by NST (also an American studio), and Next Level.
Other M was Team Ninja.
Samus Returns and Dread are MercurySteam.
Somehow, the only one that was made in-house at Nintendo Japan was Fusion, done by R&D 1, the former flagship dev team, since slowly merged into EAD
I agree with that post in a sense that Nintendo is behind times putting out a '''for girls''' game in current year
like if girls already enjoy the normal type of gameplay then why try to change that
its so half assed too because its just an LA asset flip and not even fully new like that Peach game
This just in, Nintendo doesn't cater to just the English speaking audience, I'm pretty sure there's plenty of Japanese girls who are like "KAWAII" and want to play it. Not sure why these people who complain feel the need that every country needs to play catch up in the "don't offend me" game.
I fricking hate these character designs. They could have easily done something in ALBW's style but at a higher fidelity, instead they're doing the funko pop garbage from the LA remake because they're lazy. Looks so ugly.
the majority of the switch audience is women. they don't want to play a game where you fight enemies with a sword. they want to play a game where you interact with cute characters and express yourself. this is the perfect game to capture the animal crossing audience.
It's obviously an attempt to cheaply expand the audience to actual girls, just like with Peach Showtime. Peach Showtime was fun and I'm sure this one will be too.
Eh, Peach Showtime was surely an attempt to appeal to girls but this game probably just arose from a desire to give top-down Zelda a BotW-esque treatment and Zelda just happened to be the most fitting character for their concept.
This is the only Zelda game that has appealed to me in 10 years. Why do you want the exact same game as the previous one, but with a different player skin
>Why do you want the exact same game as the previous one, but with a different player skin
This is a shallow baby game for drooling little girls that can barely hold a controller
>asking for a sword on a character that has been stablished as a magic user for decades
the gameplay might be garbage revolving around copy pasting furniture but if you're going to complain, the lack of swords is not a valid point
I kinda feel like people overblow Zelda being a "magic user". She doesn't actually use much magic in the vast majority of games she's in. In fact, as far as I'm aware, no Zelda is actually trained in magic. Compare to Ganondorf, who mastered a grand wealth of spells prior to his coup.
In fact, more often than not, Zelda's primary mode of attack is via bows and arrows rather than spells. Even then, she can't actually draw as much power from the Bow of Light as Link can, hence why none of her arrows can actually ever seem to directly harm Ganon at all.
I wonder if we'll get any other tools besides that rod
While it seems promising in some aspects it seems like it will outright trivialize the game in others

People are forgetting that: >Zelda has fought directly with a sword before (Hyrule Warriors). >Zelda has fought directly with magic before, completely differently from Link and not just summoning shit to protect her. >Zelda uses light arrows (OoT, WW, TP, ST) >Zelda can transform into Sheik with a ninja-based skill set (no, not just Smash Bros. She did this all in OoT.)
That being said, the culture war bullshit completely poisoned the well for these arguments. I have a feeling that was the intent though.
> no game about Shiek > no game about Tetra > no Phantom Zelda 2.0 > instead you get to ... spawn beds
kek - oh well, game would have been shit anyways since it uses LA graphics
Hey tardo, this game is not an example of that image. Zelda IS depicted as weaker than Link here. She is relying on an item given by some magic creature that will definitely not be sticking around.
Its a top down camera tile game
with cartoony nintendo artstyle
and your core game mechanic is that you capture monsters, then summon them to fight other monsters
And don't come at me with this "environmental puzzles where you have to use abilities from your menu to interact with tiles" because lmao
Why the frick would you want a sword if you could have Shiek martial arts fights? That's the way they should have gone, not fricking swords.
Enemies die in 1 hit
Go be a smelly smashgay somewhere else, people wanted Zelda using magic by herself.
She doesn't need a sword.
But the fact that instead of giving her a bunch of cool spells, she just summons furniture, is lame as FRICK.
The Legend of Zelda: Furnishing of Hyrule Castle
What spells would you have liked

Because Nintendo thinks women are too weak to wield a basic weapon and need men to fight for them.
Which is weird because girls are the only ones who play Zelda now. What man would play a game with a homosexual name like "Tears of the Kingdom" lmao
>the legend of zelda: manly tears of the perfect muscle
which is moronic because Metroid exist
There's a reason that Metroid is an outsourced franchise now.

I want a grown up tomboy like Samus to look at me like that
Nintendo is right and based. Just stop. Women cannot fight and do need men.
I agree with that post in a sense that Nintendo is behind times putting out a '''for girls''' game in current year

Nintendo understands women and girls a lot better then these woke, chronically online Twitter morons

Literally worse than wand of gamelon and adventure of zelda
Because Nintendo is stuck in the past.
how are they fricking wrong?
how many of those b***hes bough new horizons?
Are they wrong though? Look at how many women play and bought Animal Crossing.
She can summon rocks effortlessly
Sword is a metaphor for Benis. Zelda does not have a sword as that'd be gay.
Because girls don't use sword, they use magic.
Based nintendo knows women shouldn't be fighters because they are inferior.

Link isn't Zelda, different characters need different playstyles. Nu-Ganker is such a dogshit board.

How about I rapei ‘er?

The DiC cartoon isn't canon, Dobson.
he's a sorcerer in oot with two witches for moms
Because she can't unleash the true power of the Master Sword so there isn't much point. Any sword she can use will be second rate.
I wonder if we'll get any other tools besides that rod

gurls are too weak to wield a sword
Because women wielding weapons is laughable
Zelda is not the hero. She is not courage. She is wisdom. Making her gurl Link would be pointless.

20 years ago this game would have been labeled a "Spin-Off" and sold less than Tingles Rupeeland - but thanks to sois it will probably sell 10 to 15 m
>non-canon
Whatever helps you sleep at night. Like the other anon said, we're not in that part of the series anymore.
Bring back the Hero of Style.
Nah I don't expect it to sell well, probably Princess Peach numbers.
The amount of fake outrage over this non-canon side game would be funny if it wasn't so sad.
What's sadder is the sois and trannies defending a soulless cash grab designed for 4 year old girls
She's channeling some serious blue mage action with her copying skills.
>No sword? why the frick not?
Swords are for the weak
>picks up a rock
wow that makes her as strong as babby link at the start of his adventure
This. Did you fricks not see the trailer? Zelda doesn't need a sword, she's strong enough to toss boulders with her bare hands.
capcom won

I can't wait for the art of Zelda making clones of herself and having sex with them.
shouldn't it be the legend of link since you have to save zelda this time
Because you would then complain she's now a girlboss mary sue like you did with Peach in the Mario movie.
Zelda is female.
A very pretty female
Hold on motherfrickers
