Sorry the switch is too weak to load 3 mages spamming magic to kill each other and summoning their monsters while there are already stage monsters and you are running around trying to kill them and everyone is trying to kill each other but specially you.
Yeah, it's actually shit. I gave it a fair shake and it's just a badly designed game that in many ways is a step backwards from its predecessor, which is really disappointing.
Yeah but then there's shit like shields being tied to weapons and shields also being completely and utterly worthless.
I wonder if they even updated this shit.
The game rewards an aggressive play style, the vampire c**t mage and that other butthole with the light sword in the snow cave confirms it, the best way to kill them is by staying in the offensive, get defensive for a second and you will get ravaged by them.
However perfect guarding some attacks is basically the difference between life and death, it saved my skin many, many times.
Anon, there's no defending that using one of the heaviest shields in the game and blocking one hit of a two attack combo uses up an entire half of your stamina bar if you don't perfect block it, and perfect blocking is more wasteful than just fatrolling anyway despite being significantly harder to do. What would've been good design is perfect blocking allowing you to play aggressively by deflecting hits and following up with an attack, instead it's slower than fatrolling and offers zero actual benefit. If you play with a shield in Sacrifice you're just gimping yourself.
Sanctuary had bad balance too but even that wasn't this bad, and you'd think the dev would've learnt by this point.

I used a Halfspear and perfect blocked attacks with it consistently, some shit like the super fast screen wide light sword waves the mage fricker with the light sword do are better perfect blocked than trying to roll through them, if you roll incorrectly you get fricked, but if you perfect block and then roll you will be alive and ready to react to his bullshit.

And if you normal block you get fricked even harder. So why bother trying to block at all if you have to dodge anyway? Do you see the problem? There's way too big a discrepancy between a normal and perfect block's stamina reduction such that the risk isn't worth it when being guard broken means eating shit immediately afterwards. Better to just roll properly instead.
Also armour barely makes any difference in Sacrifice either so that's another knock against heavy builds.

>And if you normal block you get fricked even harder
Not a single time in my entire save file I triggered a normal block with the Halfspear anon, maybe it is because I played Grime so I'm used to timing but perfect blocking in this game is very easy.
You use perfect block only as an emergency maneuver, if you can't run away or roll in time or doing both of those will get you killed then you can perfect block and mitigate the damage then move out and recover HP, like with the mechanical mage missiles, those things 1 hit kill you, have a big area and are shoot fast but you can survive them if you perfect block them, so perfect blocking them is the safest option if you can't run away.

The perfect block timing in Grime was way more lenient than in Sacrifice so unless the Halfspear has some gimmick making the perfect block timing wider I don't believe you.
Going by webm related the perfect block timing seems to be 3 frames.

Well, I just said Grime as an example, I basically always perfect block in any game that has that kind of mechanic so my reflexes are pretty sharp when it comes to repelling attacks I can negate with a single well timed button press, royal guard is my favorite DMC style for that alone.
Oh and for heavy armor builds, yeah armor don't do much but poise is pretty important to trade damage.
that's what I was talking about
if dev/publisher has to sellout to epic chink store, it means they're not confident in their product at all, so they'd rather get the early cash from Timmy
many such cases
>get stunlocked and juggled around on the screen by magic projectiles >playerbase is plagued with ppl who pirated the game and shit on you in pvp >no map >cant teleport from checkpoint to checkpoint >hub is too large and sucks to traverse >cookie cutter mage bosses
getting games to run on win7's been an increasingly uphill battle for years, but have you pirated the game and tested it to make sure it actually works? the minimum system requirements list windows 8 and directx 10 instead of dx12, so i think there's a chance it might actually run out of the box, they just didn't want to bother supporting win7 users
is your win7 install patched to at least 2020? do you have the last graphics drivers that nvidia/amd released installed? have you tried running the game with dxvk? are you missing any dependencies? i don't care for soulslikes personally but the game's small enough that i might try and run it myself
Switch port wen?
Beg me

Just update to windows 10 stupid
>epic chink store exclusive
biggest red flag, means it's so shit it's not even worth pirating
Yeah, it's actually shit. I gave it a fair shake and it's just a badly designed game that in many ways is a step backwards from its predecessor, which is really disappointing.
Honestly I like Sacrifice a lot more than I like Sanctuary.
HP recovery items not being tied to the skill tree is a big enough enhancement, not to mention than using magic won't frick your stamina up anymore.

I didn't think online worked with pirated copies?
it does. they all have CODEX or whatever as their name. I had a friend test it out with a legit copy of the game
That is a terrible player.
It improved the overworld (think DeS), but regressed on stuff like weapons (most of the are trash) and shields being stuck with weapons.
I want to play this game but not with Epic. DO YOU HEAR ME JAMES?! PUT THIS FRICKING GAME ON STEAM!
just pirate it brainlet
Im white.
Then akip it and play something good instead.
Please tell me how dude I never pirated anything but I really want to play this game (even if it is shit)

It crashes instantly
