Only NPCs deal with absolutes such as "your favorite". There are a vast amount of different games I enjoyed with different playstyles or that feed different cravings. The need to numerically categorize one as THE favorite is just the NPCs' attempt at showcasing themselves. "Look at me, I said X is my favorite, I am a hip cool gamer guy with good taste right"

I've got about 500 games on Steam. My faves on Steam are probably Civ V, Dwarf Fort, Dungeon Defenders. Dragon's Dogma 2 got bad reviews for no reason. Only idiots who didn't actually play the game, or don't understand how their PC works, left a negative review. Game runs better than most games, and I haven't seen a single thing asking me for extra money. Not a single mention of the cash shop besides the main menu.
