>being an NES-let
You meant to post the PS3 but i forgive your mistake
The NES is one of the best consoles of all time.
Based.
That a shitty NES Mini though.
Now that Demon's Souls runs at 60fps on PC yes, no reason to own one of those noisy shitboxes.
You never had one as a kid
OP here, wrong pic.
There are at least 4-5 games still worth playing.
much more than that
distinct lack of Bomberman Hero in that group
I bought most of thsoe before getting the everdrive. Bomberman is on the SD card
From left to right, top to bottom:
>On PC
>Better on XB1
>Japan only
>Sequels are better
>Literally what?
>Remake is better
>One game
>Remake is better
>Remake is better
>Remake is better
>Shindou is better, but that's also N64 so I'll give you that one
>Remake is better
>Worst Kirby game
>Sequel is better
>Three games
>PSX version is better
>PC version is better
>Japan only
>Bad game
>GX is better
>Bad game
>Bad game
>Remake is better
>Four games
>Sequel is better
>Sequels are better
>Bad game
>Remake is better
>Pseudo-remake is better
>Not a game
>Pseudo-remake is better
A whopping 4 games in that image are worth playing nowadays.
that's a whole lotta goalpost moving, anon
>those dont count
CLASSIC Ganker
>t. the world's fattest "man"
You have to be really generous to think that.
I can only count one: Sin & Punishment.
No one asked.
if you are getting a mini console you would be moronic to not get the snes mini over the nes
you can just sideload the os for the nes mini on it
Mother is pretty good
>But combat is bad and encounter rate is too high!!!!!
Just use the romhack that adds the ring which increases exp/gold earned and reduces the encounter rate.
So... some pal of mine wants to get into gaming and is a fricking boomer like me so he wants to play Snes and PS1 games what should I tell him to buy that emulates everything?
A computer
PS3 with CFW
>no 240p support
It's a crying shame what the PS3 is capable of and they absolutely neutered it. Into the trash...
a pc and a hdmi cable
retroarch 🙂
the mega man games
>mother 1
>zelda 1
>zelda 2
all great games I beat recently and thoroughly enjoyed as a zoomenial
Just remembered I still have one of these, still in its box, lying around somewhere.
NEStroid
Bionic Commando
FFIV and III
Adventure Island 4
SMB trilogy
kirbys adventure
megaman 1,2,3,6
Tecmo bowl
Journey to Silius
Kid Icarus
excitebike
Tetris
ghosts n goblins
battletoads
blaster master
ducktales
rygar
crystalis
faxanadu
Super C
contra force
mario bros
goonies II
a boy and his blob
rad racer
wizards and warriors
kid niki
metal storm
ninja gaiden trilogy
Bionic Commando is pointless after 2007, the remake completely mogs it in every conceivable way
Was there a 2D remake? Or are you talking about that shitty shooter game that just has the same name?
Add power blade to that list. Game is dope, and Captain Skyhawk
Add castlevania 1+3, punch out and batman. God damn I love the NES.
River City Ransom for 2 player beat em up KINO!
#1 Cheese Merv Fan
Add Shatterhand, Startropics 1 & 2, DraQue 3, Turtles 2 & 3, and Tiny Toon Adventures.
wrong
>put cartridge into the console
>hit the power button
>already playing video games
>no loading screens
>no OS bullshit
>just vidya
Makes me sad that consoles will never be like this ever again
The memory card managers and CD/DVD players were cute. 7th gen was a mistake.
Shatterhand
Ghost's and Goblins
Power Blade
Castlevania
Golf
Gauntlet
Fire n Ice
Punch Out
Mr Gimmick
Megaman
Solomon's Key
and more...
>Ghost's and Goblins
One of the worst ports ever made. It was so bad it forced capcom to stop allowing micronics to do their ports, and they started doing them in-house.
You can't be serious including it in an otherwise decent list.
It's fun. The challenge is fun. You just don't like fun. Bet you shit on the nes double dragon too huh shitter?
no one can deny there wasnt truckloads of shit for the nes but its got a lot of games i feel are worth playing today
mario1-3
zelda (just the first one)
mike tyson's punch-out
contra and super c
metroid (hasnt aged as well, probably considered brutally hard by todays standards)
mega mans
startropics
bubble bobble
castlevanias
just beat adventure island 3, beat yo noid a few weeks ago. what are some lesser known platformers on this thing that are worth playing? also accepting famicom games as i have hardly scratched the surface of its library
>what are some lesser known platformers on this thing that are worth playing?
Gimmick! / Mr. Gimmick.
>what are some lesser known platformers on this thing that are worth playing?
gi joe
little nemo
>console from 1985 is no longer necessary
Fair enough
That's not a picture of the PS5.
Punch-Out!! is fun in any year.
Super Mario Bros 3 is a great platformer that competes with anything on Switch.
Zoomer literally filtered by the lack of objective arrows and GRAB THIS THING notifications.
gen z is filtered by anything that doesn't hold his hand or requires skill, which is pretty much the every game on the system
zelda 1 still hasnt been topped
what do you like about it so much? to me, yo noid! hasn't been topped
Back to fortnite zoomie
I can't play a lot of nes games because of the full screen fast blinking seizure strobe lights that most nes games had. I can only play the virtual console versions that removes the "seizure" effect
That's not true at all. The real problem with the NES classic is that while there are games worth playing, you can get better deals for all the worthwhile games, either through collections that have a higher percentage of worthwhile titles, or through re-releases or remakes that offer a better experience than a rom of the original would.
SNES classic as a whole was a lot better, though I only bought to "physically" own Star Fox 2 officially.
you think you're better than me because you own the ROM on an officially license nintendo emulator while i just have it on my computer?
Weird takeaway from one line in my post. No, I don't think I'm better than you for it. I just find owning official releases preferable to unofficial ones. I don't see that as having any bearing on you as a person.
The original GI Joe game on nes is a masterpiece
