the game is called POKEMON, it is the about CREATURES not the PEOPLE, (YOU) are singlehandedly killing the GAMES with this approach

FemGoku was a cringe rival idea and i hope they never do this again because i feel like their initial idea was to have an "actual battle rival" like Gary, Silver etc. yet they missed the point entirely by making her overly friendly to the point of her stalking you again and in dangerous places like Area Zero all she ever says is "SUGEEEEEEEE LOOK AT ALL THESE POKEMON IM FEELING ALL WAKU WAKU"

I'm kind of mad that the DLC doesn't seem to bring anyone back, YOUR HOMEROOM TEACHER should be the one who takes you on the trip.
Atleast with Indigo Disk they seem to let you "invite" the gym leaders, I'm hoping we can do the same with our friends and especially Clive. That glorious bastard was my favorite thing to come out of a Pokemon game.
I liked Clive.
After seeing everyone convince themselves since the second trailer that Clavell was going to be the villain, even though there was no precedent like Rose, it was really fricking cool to see how genuinely fricking based he was. Frick Penny, he was the actual main character of the Team Star Route, to the point where his fight was the hardest one, with Penny's being the victory lap.
I like Penny's plot with Team Star, that was cool.
Arven was great, loved that his final team consisted of all the food partners against the titans.
Nemona is probably the best out of the modern rivals, her fights were all great, and well worth becoming champion. I liked that they let her use Terastal before you got it. I know people meme her battle personality, but she is the one rival who had the skills to justify it.
I like Nemona as a rival but she's terrible as a character. She doesn't behave like an actual human in any capacity and feels extremely jarring in the scenes with actual emotion and storytelling.
Arven is fantastic and well-rounded. No complaints.
The theyfab is a decent character but incredibly cringe so I don't like her.

I think Arven was a pretty good character considering Pokemon. I found Nemona really annoying, just as bad as Hau and Hop if not worse.
Penny should have admired the professor for his technical savvy, this would create a rift between her and raven because he resents his parent. She does jack shit in Area zero.
Nemona should not be a champion, but be mentored by Geeta. Geeta then belittles her for losing to you constantly. Eventually she goes through an arc by standing up to Geeta and starting the school's battle club (the battle club being in the DLC and not founded by Nemona is the decision of idiots at Game Freak)
Arven's ok.
Three of them should've had more scenes together before Area Zero.
Overrated characters, but not awful.
Avern was cool and one of the better characters in the franchise.
Nemona a was cool, i liked the twist of her grooming her perfect rival.
Penny was interesting but the Team Star plot was lame
