It's one of those games that's more fun to think about than it is to play.
>think about logging in to engage in jolly cooperation and help some hosts kill bosses >they're all shitters that die in 1 hit to the big telegraphed AOE
>think about engaging in some honor duels >it's all meta homosexuals in tragoth pants spamming ROB, moonveil, double greatspear pokes, fingerprint shield, and stars of ruin
Everything has been said. This game is pretty cool but the luster doesn't last long. It simply can't support it's own size, there's not enough unique content.
Simply they forgot to add the fun
I'm a massive homosexual for From Software. I'll be sucking their wiener for Sekiro until i die.
Elden Ring still is a massive step back in almost every aspect aside of scale. Combat is back to DS2 clunk'n'spam, level design went out the window, balancing right after. Online play also has never been worse, being so spread out over distance, character levels AND weapon ratings its easy to lock yourself out of it for most of your playtime.
>combat is back to DS2 clunk'n'spam
Combat is the only objective improvement made to the formula simply because of the amount of options it gives you. DS3 is a r1 roll festival, in ER weapon arts are viable, so are jump attacks and R2 to stagger the bosses. Of course, it isn't as good as Sekiro and still suffers from the infinite stamina problem that DS3 had. >level design
Stormveil Castle is superb. There isn't a single Dark Souls that gives you that many options of progression as Stormveil does. The sewers are also really good
Yea it’s awful. Worse combat than Sekiro and Bloodborne, the worst bosses in the series, worst level design in the series, worst soundtrack, worst atmosphere, worst story/lore, terrible art style. The only selling point is the open world but it’s poorly designed and boring to explore, with hardly anything interesting to find.
Perfectly sumed it up. We can all agree to this. What a shame. I fricking knew this game was banking too much on open world. The atmosphere was great in parts in other installments. Elden ring in all seems like a fricking WoW custom private server, best way to put it if you know what i mean.
I don't think it's a bad game, but I personally didn't like it at all. I'll give it another try eventually. I didn't like DaS1 when I first played it, but came back and wound up liking the series a lot. The difference is now I don't have that initial shock learning curve. I understand how these games generally work and I still don't like it.
Elden ring wasn't shit, just flawed like any other souls game. Beautiful game but they really tried too hard to make bosses fricking moronic to push the summon mechanic.
They should have just made it a party based game where you recruit 2 other npcs to join you on your journey and give them roles like healer/tank/debuffer etc.
I did.
I was also told that the damage scaling on random mobs gets way wacky past that point to the point where you get 2shot unless you're consistently pumping vig and end to wear big nig armor
I can't blame you, and I'm one of those anons fed up with the spergs trying to make the game out as a trash fire.
It's a solid 9/10 for me until the frozen wastes, where it becomes an annoying unfun slog.
It's just like Xen in Half Life, and gets even more like it when the overtuned true final dungeon is also a bunch of floating islands in a void.
I always let Melina burn the tree, then make sure to progress Ranni's questline to basically the very end to give her hope and then do the Frenzied Flame ending.
>literally 5 months later and these pathetic chink shills are still here posting about it every single day
I hope they don’t get depressed and
kill themselves or anything haha
it has it's flaws but provided me over 400 hours of good times before I put it down for now.
most fun i've had with a new release in years.
how much fun have you had recently OP? because you sound like you are a lot of fun.
Nope, I genuinely like it. But I've liked all souls games (even DS2) and BB and sekiro, so it pretty much was a given that I'd like it.
Also played combined over 250h in 5 different playthroughs. Haven't gone into NG+ yet though, but that's next on the list.
I was actually not hyped at all, because I was kind of burnt out on Souls-type games.
But I actually enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. It added enough to make it feel fresh. It's not a game that I would probably ever do more than one playthrough of, though.
Damn, how did Ganker become so Woke? This site is completely infiltrated now. I remember when Ganker used to be based. Now it's filled with boring normies, homos, transexuals and just overall woke, religious people. It's not fun anymore. It's not good. What happened Ganker?
im going through dark souls 3 on playstation and having a lot more fun with the active forced invasions and smaller areas. to be fair dark souls 3 is still like a 6.5/10, but it's fricking active and doesnt require me to ride a horse for 15 minutes to find one thing.
DaS1 > BB = Demon's > Sekiro > DaS2 > Das3 >= ER
It was better than all the other shit
It's one of those games that's more fun to think about than it is to play.
>think about logging in to engage in jolly cooperation and help some hosts kill bosses

>thinking about logging in to enforce nofun
>it's all homosexuals having fun
the horror
Oh so you knew all the boss attacks your first time fighting them? You probably did because you're a homosexual that watched streamers play it first.
cope and seethe more. I just don't stand in the big fire circle on the floor
>Fire circle out of no where, big damage.
You just bullied a bunch of noobs excited in their first run through in a game they just bought, you should be ashamed.
You said one hit you backpedaling Black person.
>expecting fromdrones to make an objective assessment of their games
lol. lmao.
Nah, it's not a shit game at all but it's a weak entry in the series
Dark Souls = Bloodborne = Sekiro > the rest
Everything has been said. This game is pretty cool but the luster doesn't last long. It simply can't support it's own size, there's not enough unique content.

>worst soundtrack
Some of the boss themes are great.
But the "overworld" themes just riding your horse around are absolutely dogshit.
>just play 2 long notes on a string instrument really really slowly
Perfectly sumed it up. We can all agree to this. What a shame. I fricking knew this game was banking too much on open world. The atmosphere was great in parts in other installments. Elden ring in all seems like a fricking WoW custom private server, best way to put it if you know what i mean.

Perhaps. But I did put 250 hours into it, so I got my money's worth
Wonder why the transexuals are so against this game?

everything after leyndell was shit
Why do you want everyone to hate it so bad?
I liked it until Zamor Ruins
then I stopped playing
>filtered
yeah, I guess I was lol
>I liked it until Zamor Ruins
how do you get filtered by a random throwaway recycled outdoor ruins?
Just run in and grab the bell bearing and leave.
Did you try to kill all the ice guys?
I did.
I was also told that the damage scaling on random mobs gets way wacky past that point to the point where you get 2shot unless you're consistently pumping vig and end to wear big nig armor
honestly you're better off quitting
the game does take a nose dive into the toilet
Fire giant is trash
I can't blame you, and I'm one of those anons fed up with the spergs trying to make the game out as a trash fire.

its boring af tbh, no flair whatsoever, this medieval shit outstayed its welcome by ds3
the whole formula is stale but at least you can spice it up a bit by changing the settings like bb/sekiro did with some combat tweaks
But it's actually good with a few flaws here and there? Sorry about your terminal case of contrarianism, but its not a replacement for a personality.
here comes the fromdrone
I have a platinum in every game. I can sincerely say this is the weakest entry with the exception of DS2 pre-scholar
>Fromdrone
I just said its got a bunch of flaws, but its also not dogshit. Whats your issue? I'm no blind fanboy.
>I just said its got a bunch of flaws, but its also not dogshit. Whats your issue?
You said it's good.
>Saying the game is good makes you a fanboy.
Jesus Christ. Either you're trolling or you have mental health issues.
I haven't played since beating Leyndell because the game forces you to accept Melina's help at that point.
They aren't faking it, people fricking love open world chores
lol
Is there an edit of this with D in his armour? It would work well with the meme.
It’s good for a first play through
Unless you like invading, there isn’t much more to come back to
I don't even want to do a NG+ because Ranni's ending is too good for anything else to compare. feels wrong doing any build that isn't Int tbh
I always let Melina burn the tree, then make sure to progress Ranni's questline to basically the very end to give her hope and then do the Frenzied Flame ending.
Yes, I can.

STOP REPLYING TO BAIT THREADS.
- Ganker
I enjoyed it. I'm on my second playthrough now.
Yeah I’m playing Nioh 2 now and this game is way better.
This game will be completely obsolete once Starfield comes out.
WHEN THE FRICK ARE WE GETTING DLC?!!!!?!!??
Horse gets new armour in it, and the new bosses are in a swamp, with justin bieber soundtracks.
Nope, I genuinely like it. But I've liked all souls games (even DS2) and BB and sekiro, so it pretty much was a given that I'd like it.

How many times has the dust settled bros?
hello wetfat

It was a piece of dogshit and I wish people realized it faster.
You know a games good when the Ganker hivemind will use any amount of bait, buzzwords, memes and bad faith arguments to denounce its success.
Best game From has ever made
Damn, how did Ganker become so Woke? This site is completely infiltrated now. I remember when Ganker used to be based. Now it's filled with boring normies, homos, transexuals and just overall woke, religious people. It's not fun anymore. It's not good. What happened Ganker?
Ganker has been shit since the fappening.
take meds homosexual
>REEing about the scary women and blacks existing
Who said one thing about blax or women?
It's been like 4 months Shazam... move on... you lost.
Best game Fromsoft made period
>oh boy, another elden ring "criticism" thread where you can't have any positive opinions about the game, even if you also criticize it.
no, it was worth the money and i got 200h out of it.
