I liked the dex being smaller. It was realistic to actually complete and if you care that much about a complete Pokédex you can use Home and get a cool reward for doing it. You can still GOTTA CATCH ‘EM ALL if you care enough. I wish they’d stop using that on merchandise again given how difficult it can be to actually do it.
That's not what it's about. The National Dex was in bank instead of SM. They don't need to implement a National Dex (that'd you'd have to autistically fill out) in order to allow us to transfer old pokemon in.
Regional dexes have always been a thing so the “smaller” dex argument falls. Reminder they Gen5 did Dexit perfectly but morons couldn’t cope with CHARIZARD not being in the spotlight for a single game, even though Unova already gave CHARIZARD its equal attention cake at CHARIZARD bridge.
