Unless it's accompanied by Legends 3, it's just introducing that frustrating cliffhanger to a whole new generation. Also zoomer nerds wouldn't be able to deal with the controls so those would have to be overhauled
You're right about the length of Legends 1+2+Misadventures probably being longer than any of the Mega Man collections besides Battle Network's, but I think it's a matter of numbers. Even if it has way more content it's still "only" 3 titles which won't look as good marketing-wise. Maybe I'm just wrong and autistic though
Speak for yourself. I wouldn't want it if its handheld exclusive though. Most of the OG voice actors are either too old or dead now though. Tiesel for example.
What the frick is their problem? What do they stand to lose by releasing MML1-2 for modern consoles/PC? There's clearly enough hype for MML3, are they smoking fricking crack??
Executives are a very proud and vindictive class, and thanks to golden parachutes and other compensations, are remarkably insulated from the negative effects of their mistakes.
As such, they will rarely make a financially good decision if it will result in THEM personally losing face (see the fiascos between Konami shitting on all their devs they drive away).
This is why Legends 3 got shitcanned when it was like 50% done, and its why Legends 3 will never get made.

i think it had something to do with Inafune leaving during the game's production to make his own forgettable studio
MML2 and Misadventures were massive flops in their day, and they've been on PSN for like a decade so they know legendsbabs are a vocal minority who don't actually buy shit
a collection would only be good if they kept the ps1 graphics. 90% of my enjoyment of these games is the incredibly nice ps1 graphics and textures. god I love how these games looked.
Probably, then they can put out a Star Force collection for its 20th anniversary
I think they'd benefit from being released together though, unless Capcom can find some games to fill out both series' collections so it's not just three installments.
Star force was a bit of a flop though, especially compared to BN.
It failed to really capture BN's charm of doing an alternate take on the megaman timeline while also failing to really build an interesting new plotline/world after BN.
Disregarding everything else about Star Force, I never understood why they went from a fun, intuitive, toyetic idea like "Mega Man but in cyberspace" to convoluted nonsense about radio waves.
They said numerous times they don’t plan to port their ps1 3d games due to how dated they look, it pisses me off but it’s part of the reason they did the re2 remake and I don’t think anyone would think a mega man legends re engine remake would sell well or look good re engine can’t do anime
Probably 2024 since a new megaman game is apparently going to be released this year and that's probably why they didn't release BN collection this year
i wish they did some extras but legends 3 would never happen
imagine a good timeline where they include the demo as a bonus
I could 100% see them including the demo as a bonus feature and using it as a selling point of "Trying out the unfinished beta of the canceled legends 3", to try and gauge interest for a future game.
That was what the original demo was going to be, and they canceled it outright. Well first they tried to kill interest by saying it would be a paid demo, then canceled it entirely rather than risk it being a moderate success, and putting pressure on them to continue with it. But, you know, same result.
If they ever do actually greenlight MML3 in the future, they'll start ENTIRELY from scratch.
megaman still in the moon dude
Fricking a milf and a e-girl for both age fetishes, I don't think its a bad fate.

2 games and a spinoff isn't much of a collection
Legends 2's control scheme was pretty normal with the Dualshock if I remember right, wouldn't be hard to add that to Legends 1
most collections are SNES tier games that are pretty small though anon. Legends 1, 2 and MoTB are much larger PSX era games.
I think it'd be enough.

klonoa just came out with just two games in one though
I think you misunderstand what I'm fixated on. I mean specifically just calling it a "Collection" as opposed to something else. Like I said, autistic.
>it's still "only" 3 titles which won't look as good marketing-wise
Both Crash and Spyro had successful remaster trilogies.
Even if they are bigger than SNES era games, they are still pretty frickin tiny by modern standards.
Disney released 2 snes games as a collection and called it a deal,it can happen and there's nothing wrong with that
Only Legends 1 have bad control and can easily be fix by implementing the same control as Legends 2 control scheme
After Battle Network this will be the last one. They're going to do it, and then do the Capcom Test on that shit for Legends 3 just you wait
I hate to be Johnny Raincloud, but most people who would be excited about MML 3 are too old to care much about videogames anymore.

Don't really see much point in making one unless they made Legends 3 and made it the selling point of the collection.

I'd buy them if they were on steam in a heartbeat.

god i wish they hadn't changed mega man's voice in the sequel
They already made one.
Yeah man. It's gonna happen someday. I believe it. :')
>Capcom's surely planning to make a legends collection next, right?
Anon, I...
Imo it's a given at this point. Battle Network was the one I had doubts.
Reason = JRPGs
And plenty of them. In one pack.
Surely Capcom will make SF4 one day...
I want a breath of fire collection...
Probably, then they can put out a Star Force collection for its 20th anniversary

Their take on X really had nothing in common with him as well.
That's because SF came out during downfall of franchise
Can they even do the star force wave forms you need three friends to even use the ultimate form and with Bn not having online I doubt this will

MMLLC would be a slap in the face and cause mass butthurt. Capcom would be best served not to.
They just rereleased Darkstalkers again after having also cancelled a new installment in that series. No one seems to be getting butthurt over it.

I'm happy with that, I wasn't a fan of the new barrel character.
