Like No Man's Sky before it, nope, not one bit, but the fans will pretend that managing to get close to a third of what they were promised is great because they originally had frick-all.

Okay straight up I wanna like this game but I’ve already lost motivation to play it 10 hours in

For context, I’m at the part in the story where the MC is stuck with the chip in their head and johnny is fricking with them
I’ve done an alright collection of side stuff, like finding the cabs and killing cyberpsychos, but every mission in this game has so many boring dialogue scenes that go on forever and there’s no agency in any dialogue options. I find the MC impossible to take seriously and none of the characters besides maybe keanu have grabbed my attention

Does this game get better and just have a really slow start or should I quit now?

Nah it has poor combat and the finishers are boring. Either a build is overpowered or a snore fest. Hacker being forever on cooldown was fixed by overdrive and combos to extend duration.

Slop game that hides it is boring behind PG-13 sex scenes and oversexualized content. And this is not a problem with the ending. The base game itself is boring. The most interesting quests were maybe 6 side missions like the Peralz arc.

coomer bait pic because nobody will look at any thoughtful post without trapping their porn brain

For an open world game it has awful systems and a severe lack of any emergent gameplay. Its basically a scripted experience in a visually amazing environment with top tier design put into every prop, but all of that is meant to be experienced while youre zooming past on the way to objectives.
I have never played a game where I was so constantly bombarded with shit to do, there are constant phone calls and text messages coming in and carpeting your map screen.
The writing is pretty creative, the missions coming in from left and right are unpredictable and often feel like cool ideas, but to me the game falls flat due to the nature of the horribly uncanny and imposingly, overly scripted game world

I played it last month and thought it was pretty good. The best part is Night City itself, which is head and shoulders the best, most immersive digital city ever created. I fast traveled only a handful of times because the world is so cool to just live in.

The combat is pretty good. I had fun with my high-mobility shotgun build, and it seems like there are several cool, vastly different ways to play.

I also had a ton of fun customizing and dressing my character. If you're into fashion, there are a ton of cool options for expression. My V is aesthetically my favorite create-a-character I've ever built.

Unfortunately, RPG-wise, it lacks choice and consequences, and I didn't love any of the characters and most of the dialogue.

Phantom Liberty as a whole was moronic, your two choices are
        >side with the c**t who not only caused the whole situation but also betrayed everyone including you until the last possible second
        >side with the literal glowies
        how very "punk" of them

That's kind of the problem with CDPR's interpretation of the Cyberpunk setting. The corpos have won and solidified their control so completely in the gap between 2020 and 2077 that there's nothing meaningful for the punks to do.
The tone I get from the game is one of nihilism. Very Eastern European. Whereas back in the original RPG books, you got the impression that one really could start a revolution by rocking the frick out.

    > Night city only has two prostitutes (Joytoys) and they sit in Kubiki or some shit
That's the most unrealistic part of the whole game, and the fact that you don't see people blowing dong or riding pole for ED's.

I liked it when it came out and I'm replaying it now that the dlc has arrived. I didn't feel robbed by what was promised because marketing will be marketing and I didn't keep up with the hype train. What we got was sufficiently fun for me.

Its fundementally ruined, any purchase of this game is another person supporting what CDPR did compounded by the morons being tricked into thingking its "fixed".
