old games literally are better than newer games mostly because of the explosion of popularity in gaming and game companies turning into soulless corporation run to appease investors and not customers, zoomers say its nostalgia because they weren't around at the time
Anon how old are you
notice how they can't actually present an argument and have to attack your age OP
nta but all they did was ask OP's age. there wasn't any "attack" towards it.
>nta
>they
how does "not that anon" imply reddit you dumb fricking redditor
Modern games are better than old games in every objectively measurable way. Gameplay, graphics, music, story, side content, etc etc, are all done better, and we have way more games to choose from, including heaps of pixelshit metroidvania garbage made exclusively for people like OP
The only thing that changed was your perception of what's "good" because you turned into a jaded bitter homosexual who can't accept games aren't the way they used to be in your head when you were 7 and didn't know any better
there's no argument. this same tired bullshit is repeated every fricking day by some burnt out moron
>still refuses to post age
Nice generalization there OP. Got any examples you'd like to share?
He can't even post age let alone examples
It's true OP, but the newbies will defend their shitty new gaems because they simply didn't experience anything better.
It's because 99% of what's churned out is garbage and has always been garbage just like other media such as television, music, movies, etc, so you form a confirmation bias that the past was better because of the handful of good titles.
Those gems are a rare minority and you are just mistaken the past was better but all the trash and incomplete overpriced filler games were around back in the past too.
Old games are better because the chaff has been filtered out.
Also less-to-no reliance on GAAS.
Turns out being a 30 something years old kissless virgin who post frogs on Ganker will make you bitter and unable to enjoy things as you did when you were a kid, who would have thought
Nah In Death, Beat Saber, and Half Lofe Alyx is more fun than any old game
>Lofe
I think that's fairly true. They're "better" except in terms of technology and gameplay fluidity. But their CONCEPTS have soul and the execution of many nontechnical aspects was superior (story, characters, concepts etc)
you're likely over 30, posting frogs and screetching about "zoomers" on the internet. take some fricking control over your life man
I unironically enjoyed a game from 2002 more than I did enjoy any game after RE2 Remake (which is technically an old game too just in shiny paper)
I agree, I'm 23 and have felt this way since I was a teenager
True. I played the original Deus Ex for the first time this year and it's easily the best game I played all year. I'm 23.
32yo here and still finding plenty of good games to play
Old games truly are better in most cases, but some new games are still pretty good.
I unironically think stuff like Death Strandong is really cool. I really only have problems with Activision, Ea, Ubisoft and Take 2.
The problem is that when people discuss new AAA its from one of these companies, who have given up innovating for cheap woke points or pandering to morons
I don't think anyone has ever agreed that all new games are bad, instead that AAA is a souless rehash of xp treadmills and assembly line features designed to appeal to the lowest common denominator, as you said. Also the collapse of risk taking AA and indie games not yet filling the void due to lack of budget and competent creatives in all roles.
I agree with your statement but there are some modern gems out there that you could enjoy.
Just avoid the games that are obviously pandering to a specific demographic and you'll find some gems.
Ganker is just gonna call op a boomer but he's 100% right.
I haven't had trouble finding anything to play for a long time and there's a lot I'm looking forward to. AAA western games are shit but that's always been the case
