only Square Enix ports are garbage
It's a generic Ubisoft open world adventure game but somewhat better because of the gorgeous setting and the gameplay is fun for a while at least. Eventually you get used to it and everything becomes extremely repetitive and that's when I stopped playing for a few months. When I came back to it I had a decent amount of fun but again it was nothing special. The ending was pretty kino though.
Then I did the DLC island and that actually was to my surprise very enjoyable. I don't really know why I enjoyed it so much more than everything else. The story was a bit more interesting I guess and there was less bland filler.

I think they confirmed that a sequel was in the works. I don't really know if I want a sequel though, the story of Tsushima has been told now. I'd much more prefer a new story and new characters over using Jin again, but I guess beand recognition doesn't allow them to do that.
The lack of Jap lip sync was pretty stupid but I had fun and the game looks pretty. Story was forgettable.

It was the game Americans wanted the Japanese to make, but didn't so they made it themselves. It was 9/10, all the women being average or below looking was annoying, but the outright nationalism made up for it.
