One thing that bothered about this game was that Monika's voice actress was egregiously miscast. Her awkward, squeaky voice makes her sound like a female anime club attendee, not the hot, talented, confident former debater that she's supposed to be. Without doing any research, I would guess the developer just got one of his friends to do the voice, but he should have sprung for a professional singer.

True, it doesn't really fit the character, but then again it's not like DDLC was meant to be some kind of professional AAA title. It's a literal free game that he made to bait streamers. He probably just got some acquaintance with decent enough singing ability to record a song and get it out the door.
