This game gives me such a spark of possibility just like Minecraft used to give me. The game seems pretty barebones but I'm hoping the mod scene takes off in force. There's a good basis here for something actually good and unique

Ark can also be played solo, and that's personally all I've ever done. It's imo a pretty good single player sandbox, or even just with a friend or two.
It's just a survival game where you build up your base and weapons by collecting resources. Some of the resources are Pokémon which you can use to fight eachother. You can fight alongside your Pokémon with bows and arrows and guns and such. Poachers show up and try to destroy your base. There are dungeons to catch rare mons and there are gym leader battles. Basically survival plus you can fight alongside Pokémon

This is true. No microtransactions is huge for something like this. There's even timed building stuff and all you have to do is get more mons and most things get built quickly.
The only thing I somewhat agree with you on is the movement point... otherwise, I like surival crafter base builders, I like pokemon, I like Arc, I like factorio... and this is a relatively polished combination of all of that. I know I'm going to have fun once it comes out and probably sink hundreds of hours into it even before the full release.

They only get sad if you overwork them with no food or rest. As long as they get breaks to eat, sleep, and have some form of entertainment in the base they seem to actually enjoy helping craft/gather.

mystery dungeon was most normalgay's introduction to the mystery dungeon format, which is, in and of itself, a weak attempt at capturing rogue's greatness but adding an underlying story. I'll admit, I like the shiren games, that's about it though. Every other one has way too much shit that carries over, and turns into "slam your face into the first few floors till you get something broken, then send it back and repeat till you have a full kit".
Pokemon ranger I never saw the appeal of, but I think the novelty of it was kinda cool. After I got manaphy I gave up.

World is set. It's pretty sizable it looks like with different zones and the like. Replayability will more than likely come down to the new content as it drops, going out to fight superpals and breeding your pals of choice.

UE 5 is pretty streamlined and modable. The issue is that the devs need to create kits so that modders won’t have to pay thousands for or pirate the tools used to create the game to do it themselves. Even without the tools making replacers and simple mods should be an easy task.
None of the devs/publishers have bothered to make mod kits for their games. You can still make mods for those games but you’re missing the tools. The engine itself isn’t difficult to learn

Kenshi's UI is perfectly fine because there's simply a lot of info you need to keep track on, and lets not talk about jank, this game at times seems more like a Skyrim mod than its own game.

No, again, Pokemon doesnt have survival elements, or base building, nor a focus on the farming, the main focus is turn based battles, and the endgame is basically going full meta compgay on battle facilities and the online mode.
Prior pokemon games have done everything on that list.

the humans are neutral which makes them neither have bonuses nor weaknesses against any of the monsters. When you capture them, their default equipment is a club or a deagle with unlimited ammo, I haven't seen anyone equip the humans but I'm guessing that can be done.
I've never seen people use dark pals because they're about as common as late game firearms, which nobody has so far. The dark types so far are pathetic.
It should be an easy mod to make. Just have the tower boss trainers be automatically caught on defeat, shouldn't need any new animations or anything since they should work the same way as other humans you can catch.
So I imagine it won't take long for that mod to come out.

It's just a survival game where you build up your base and weapons by collecting resources. Some of the resources are Pokémon which you can use to fight eachother. You can fight alongside your Pokémon with bows and arrows and guns and such. Poachers show up and try to destroy your base. There are dungeons to catch rare mons and there are gym leader battles. Basically survival plus you can fight alongside Pokémon
So its the exact same drivel thats turned indie games into a joke but with bootleg Pokemons.

Yes, there is. You have three work settings. Normal, Hard, Extra hard. The latter two make their happiness and hunger decrease by a ton. The first keeps them satisfied, so they'll have a smile on their face as long as they have food and are allowed breaks.
They only get sad if you overwork them with no food or rest. As long as they get breaks to eat, sleep, and have some form of entertainment in the base they seem to actually enjoy helping craft/gather.

mystery dungeon was most normalgay's introduction to the mystery dungeon format, which is, in and of itself, a weak attempt at capturing rogue's greatness but adding an underlying story. Every other one has way too much shit that carries over, and turns into "slam your face into the first few floors till you get something broken, then send it back and repeat till you have a full kit".

World is set. It's pretty sizable it looks like with different zones and the like. Replayability will more than likely come down to the new content as it drops, going out to fight superpals and breeding your pals of choice.

No UE5 game has mod support yet, snd its going to be hilarious seeing a bunch of asiatics try to pull that off.

UE 5 is pretty streamlined and modable. The issue is that the devs need to create kits so that modders won’t have to pay thousands for or pirate the tools used to create the game to do it themselves. Even without the tools making replacers and simple mods should be an easy task.

I say Kenshi because it allows you to do exactly that. You enslave people and creatures, you build your own base which can grow into a city, put them to work and then raid other cities if you want.

In Pokemon the entire point of the game is raising Pokemons to challenge the League and then the battle facilities, not for survival in a third person shooter.

the humans are neutral which makes them neither have bonuses nor weaknesses against any of the monsters. When you capture them, their default equipment is a club or a deagle with unlimited ammo, I haven't seen anyone equip the humans but I'm guessing that can be done.
Neutral is actually weak to dark in Palworld and is the only element weak to it. It also has no strengths.
I've never seen people use dark pals because they're about as common as late game firearms, which nobody has so far. The dark types so far are pathetic.
