Starfield.
probably some strategy shit like dominions.. idk
dwarf fortress prolly
Not really, once you get over the interface, Dwarf Fortress is a very simple game
yup it has a ton of complexity that does literally nothing for gameplay and therefore doesn't matter at all
this but unironically
DF was never hard, its just a barebones colony sim that simulates a lot of fluff systems in the background.
main reason it was """hard""" back in the day was it basically the first colony management game of its type.
DF was only "hard" because of the interface. Once the steam version dropped everyone immediately saw how rudimentary it all was.
Yo mom
Also the biggest and widest
Probably Arma with ACE
You even need to calculate in the coriolis effect when sniping
as for games i haven't played, autism sims like factorio seem complicated
as for games i have, noita literally is very deep in terms of how far you can go into the earth, as well as having a bunch of autistic spell mechanics and esoteric secrets that are near impossible to figure out on your own, sans a 400 hour multi-run journey where you take irl notes
EYE
I disagree. Its presentation is often obtuse, but the core of it is fairly simple, at least gameplay-wise. The story is strange but once you've reached the true ending you should understand what's going on.
Leg status?
Amazing Cultivation Simulator
>hurr ur only saying that because YouTuber
Yes
But it's true, that game has an absurd amount of mechanics you can synergize
Litterally, probably Subnautica
Mechanically, probably factorio
Replay-wise, some kind of mmo or competitive multiplayer game like lol, valorant, csgo, starcraft.
Good find, it looks absolutely autistic in a bad way
Frick you're right that was obvious
Sadly once you figure out the (simplified) orbital mechanics and use a delta-v map, the game becomes easy. However you're right that modded ksp (realism overhauls) is probably the most autistic game here by far. CHOADE also fits here. Probably modded minecraft too but I never tried it.
Most of my ksp hours are me building planes/sstos and flying them. It's great and you can go as high as the atmosphere.
Elden Ring
Deep rock galactic. Its in the name
It could have been DRG if the devs hadn't fricked it.
new player here, I'm enjoying it
when does it get bad?
Meet and Frick:Kingdom
EVE Online
Imagine unleashing a huge diarrhea shit down there. Must be so goddamn satisfying
>shit down the big hole
>something shits upwards back
i'd give you a push
>moegays enjoy literal shit
lol
>moegay
?
Dude, that's a 2hu
>um ackshually the moeblob fanart doesn't count
lol moron
You sound deranged. I don't know what I've done to upset you so, but please calm down and control yourself
Iron Lung
Mario
lmao qrd?
This is probably a unique case in human history. No group of autistic people has ever decided to develop such in-depth knowledge about something so stupidly ridiculous and absurd before. All because some magazine published 30 years ago had a challenge section, and someone proposed a stupid challenge that doesn't even make much sense to begin with. It's something so insane that it's really hard to understand the dimensions of it.
Mario 64 fans are just programmers and it's fun to deconstruct a computer game like you'd deconstruct a computer or a car engine. There's nothing particularly special about Mario 64's programming community. I've done similar levels of autistic shit with videogames I like as proof of concept projects for my resume. This sort of activity is typical for programmers.
To date I've spent at least 700 hours datamining simcity 4 in various ways. Most people on SC4Devotion have upwards of 7000 hours. The ancient one (ascended, passed from cancer several years ago) approached 70,000.
>The ancient one (ascended, passed from cancer several years ago) approached 70,000
wew
what a video game character
Starcraft: Brood War
Picrel filters most of the third world and Sweden due to their low average IQ.
to be fair you have to have an increadible high iq to like furry toddler shitting in diaper porn like the tunic artist.
THE DEEPEST
I still need an edit without the gross grandma breasts.
Is this the bottomless pit inspector thread? Anyone else have to change jobs because the pit they were in charge of suddenly had a measurable bottom depth one day?
Yeah, I got into the galvanized square steel business instead.
UNIRONICALLY Hyperrogue.
Kenshi
Any game if you use your imagination. You could roleplay an entire anime in AA2 if you wanted
I always had the impression kerbal space program was pretty in depth. I never played the game though so idk how much you can just brute force.
If only half those deep entries weren't literal .jpeg sims. Etrian alone probably wouldn't survive without pedos.
It's funny how this image is completely accurate, both literally and figuratively.
KOTOR II is deep for its time.
Frick that "so deep" shit. What games let me get HIGH?
Getting Over It clones
Fighting games
Anything with an insurmountable leaderboard.
play Miner Dig Deep upside down
LSD Dream Emulator
Final Fantasy IX
SSX 2012
Ar Tonelico
Peaks of yore.
that game grow up and grow up 2 where you infinitely climb and extend brambles into floating islands in the sky
Far Cry 3. Unironically.
ECO
Dota
that Made in Abyss game on the Switch, it's like 20,000 metres deep
Made in Abyss: Binary star falling into darkness
yes, i like jumping over holes
but which games are the most unsettling? not scary mind you
Crab Nicholson’s Extreme Sleepover
ironically and unironically, tetris
>no matter how deep we go we keep finding life irl
>we have no idea just how deep life goes down into earth, only that it's farther than we've ever been with recording equipment
It's a rather spooky notion, I must say
Probably most forms of competitive pokemon. They made a dlc character Kieran just to spoonfeed to most gay's why they aren't cut out for it. Realistically though any might and magic before 7
minecraft if you dig down
>depth
Probably racing games if that's the kind of depth you were talking about
that's length
>KSP
KSP isn't THAT deep even if mooded with real solar system
no I don't consider using delta V charts or watching Scott Manley as cheating
Aurora 4x comes to mind.
aurora 4x is yet another game that is clearly intended to be played while reading the wiki for reference and is nowhere near as hard or complex as it's made out to be by people that never even played it
Even the wiki didn't tell me that adding a single fricking mil component (non-civ engines) would make my cargo ships frickin explode due to them needing "maintenance".
PEBKAC. google it.
Well the question wasn't about how "hard" or "complex" a game is, was it? No, it was about how "deep" it is, and without a concrete definition of what "deep" is supposed to be in this context, I offer up a game that lets you design individual components of more complex systems that all fit into your ships. I'd say, in terms of granular things that you can tinker with, Aurora is both fairly broad and deep.
Wrath of the righteous.
The character creation screen is one of the hardest bosses in the game.
Stephen's Sausage Roll
The only deep game I play is A-Train, and not because of the game itself, but because of the way the train timetables work, which require hours and hours of planning and math.
run 8 is the DCS of train sims. Starting up a locomotive takes 20 min if you know what you're doing. You have to communicate with others and the moderators will ban you if you swear. They are also actual railroad workers and use the sim to be racist because black people don't know how to use computers
if you are even moderately competent at this and you can pass a drug test you can get a job running a real train, which is like run 8 but paid (unlike our moderators who do it for free)
noita cant be datamined and you basically need wizard levels of knowledge, time, and dedication to the game to solve them. not even gonna try
