>This looks like pure, unadulterated goyslop.
It's not even goyslop, it's the equivalent of those 2d misshapen drawings of people that have weird skin colors. There's nothing inspiring about the designs, and that's the point. It's brutalist "art" just like brutalist buildings. You don't have a country anymore, you're just an inhuman worker drone in an economic zone. Because of that, anything that's beautiful has to go and be replaced with generic shit that doesn't remind you of your humanity.
Playtested this game a few times over the past year. Each time we did a different aspect for it from just adventuring out in the overworld to dungeon diving to dungeon challenges. It wasn't fun at all.
This is exactly what most of you Gankerirgins have been asking for
>Older white man as leader >Cool black sidekick like Blade >Goth GF >Edgy hooded mystery homie >Androgynous elf bussy >Muscle mommy >The men have full armor >The woman have sexualized attire.
They just did all the approved Ganker archetypes. So what's wrong now? how are you guys going to spin this to be woke and bad?
Honestly I agree except for the muscle mommy thing. I don't like that aesthetic anyways only basedboys do who want to be protected from their school bullies by a strong woman that will pity sex them.
I will never understand how someone can get out of their way to play the shittiest games they find. >Play the same shit for years knowing is bad >try a new game based around that same shit expecting it to be good
what do they expect to happen?
moron monkeybrains and peer pressure
Some people allow themselves to be sucked into shitty live service games and then encourage their friends to play those same shitty live service games because "it's fuuuun, trust me"
But it's not really fun - their moronic monkeybrain has tricked them into thinking they're enjoying themselves because it fell for the Skinner box design and wants more dopamine hits
Try watching a YouTube channel that plays games like this

This couldn't be more unoriginal and suffocating if it tried. I hate shit like this. I hate this so much
It's an early access, free to play, cash shop, founder status locked rewards, MMO? So they literally took everything people hate about MMOs and combined it into one?
Its an MMO, it can't be good. Let all current MMOs die, I'm talking server fricking shut the frick down, give it an additional 2 years, THEN start development, and maybe after at least 3 years of dev, it'll come out half-decent. UNLESS its Korean, in which case it'll always be dead dog shit from conception.
It's launching as buy 2 play easlop.
Description says it's gonna be in free open beta state in 6 months but I've seen far too many of these pieces of garbage to know it's going flop at launch. Will probably get a few updates for 2-3 months then going to be left to rot until they decide to just make it f2p as a last cash grab resort then close the servers
Kyros and Silo are by far the best characters to play. Kyros for his movement and control. Silo for turning the game into a 3rd person shooter. He can see the hit markers on mobs and bosses to crit. Everyone else sucks and of course the danger hair buff lady is Australian.
That's weird. If it was like league but instead of a game of league you queue into a dungeon or a raid I'd get it but if it's an mmo with leveling and exploration and quests and shit then I don't get it at all.
Combat was great. I only got to play Wingrave because you have to grind and craft new Wayfinders.
The combat felt super good for an "MMO". I wonder how it will play out at launch when there's actually more players. You can do combos with different abilities for your weapon. There's a bonus for doing more combos and stuff it felt good. The weapons themselves had different ability also which is kinda cool. My sword and shield had like 5 or 6 different ones each and my two handed mace had the same amount.
I personally liked the art style. The towns were really cool with lots of little things that added to "soul" of it.
Also I had a two-handed axe on Wayfinder. There's a ton of different weapons for the classes.
Mainly about the combat and ease of partying up with others. I hope I won’t have to wait ages to join others just for the game to tell me nobody is available for that specific dungeon.

Talking about a game coming out in 3 days isn’t shilling, you people are mentality ill and would ban all talking of new games on Ganker if you had your way.
warframe does it's own thing though and looks nothing like genshin chinkpact, i don't know why do you even do this but have fun i guess.
>EA >MMO
EA? lol, it's dead.
they killed dawngate because it didn't bring up lol amount of players after the game ended the beta, this unoriginal shit will follow the same path.
Fricking straight up lie. I played the early access shit and the axe was by far the worst weapon to fricking use in the game. Everyone can use all the weapon types but some heros like Silo excel at using guns compared to the butch b***h who is good with great swords or axes.
As someone who has never even touched any of the "good" MMO's, I have genuinuely never heard of this trash before now, and looking through this thread, it looks like one of the biggest pieces of shit to come out this year. Every image is full of red flags, and then I read your comments. Its amazing how much competition there is for Worst Game of the Year, devs are really outdoing themselves
The game doesn't have seasons as you think. It sounds like regular content updates.
Wayfinder Seasons:
>We will be releasing content in seasons beginning in Early Access, which will contain two separate seasons. Each season will last approximately three months. Each Season will include a brand new character as well as their signature weapon.
>Not only will new Wayfinders and their weapons be available with each Season. You’ll also have the opportunity to explore new events sprawling across the Highlands and other open-world environments, overcome new challenges in Lost Zone expeditions, collect and craft new accessories and echoes, face dangerous new foes in every corner of The Gloom and immerse yourself in a rich story between characters and players alike!
There's nothing about resets or anything like that.
Most likely they want to see if people will pony up the dosh to help them continue development. They’ll likely cancel the full release if they don’t get enough people in early access.
>Not even zoomers gonna like dis
it's not really made for zoom zooms, it's made to rope FOMO addicts trying to show off, the zoom zoom color it's to try and find these type of people within that generation.
This game isn't an MMO. I don't know why so many people keep saying that. It's like Warframe and then there's a lobby town + 1 "open area" where you can see something like 30-50 people in your instance.
What would I gain from lying? Here's direct quotes from the devs:
>"But I think in Skylight, we're looking at somewhere between 30 to 40 people, because Skylights lighter, it's a lighter load, because you can't attack you know, certain things you can't do so it's easier." >“In our over lands, which are our shared spaces, I believe the number is somewhere between 20 and 30. A hero-based MMO has to be one of the worst ideas ever, one of the major cornerstones of MMOs is building your own unique character in a fantasy world. Here every one plays the same handful of characters and you'll run into yourself all the time, just how unbelievably dumb are these trend chasing morons?
Controlling the characters and combat is decent enough, could use a bit more refining and complexity. But the "MMO" aspect of the game just fricking sucks, navigating the hub and zones just feels bad. They should have just made this a coop action game or something, and called it a day. It's gonna flop.
I expect it will be mediocre but I'll give it a try and hope that it's good because the more good video games the better
Waven is an even lesser known game that is releasing a day after Wayfinder that I feel the same way about (Waven is actually launching f2p though, unlike Wayfinder's early access buy-in). Trying out both hopefully will last until Armored Core 6 which, again, is hopefully a good video game because i actually like video games
do the devs even call it an mmo or is this just something people have decided to decree the game as
because it functions the same as warframe, you pick a suit (character), you can tweak it a bit, there's some more open areas where you can see a few dozen people and the rest you're on small instanced parties
>do the devs even call it an mmo
No. They have said it has MMO-ish features, but that's about it. The rest is all from "journalists", youtubers, reviewers, etc.
I got invited to that closed beta and didn't even bother trying it. I really want a good mmo but I know this is a game thats going to die near instantly.
The only chance of a new MMO coming out and not immediately dying would need to be based on a big IP or something to have a massive player base to pull from, just like how TCGs constantly come out and immediately die while it looks like the One Piece TCG will actually do really well because its based on the most popular manga of all time.
The only MMO coming out that has a chance to do well is whatever shit riots working on because league of legends has enough morons who would also play it but I doubt it will be good.
do the devs even call it an mmo or is this just something people have decided to decree the game as

it's what he said, PvE MMO.
they are betting on the people that don't have time or will to pvp anymore and just want to do quick instanced shit.
even that hawken reborn game is trying this now.
a pve mmo is something like FFXIV and even that game you could somewhat-kinda argue is not really very much of an mmo considering how much is small group instanced
>hawken

Throne and Liberty's combat is being revamped to turn it into action combat as we're speaking, confirmed by NCSoft's earnings report a few days ago. The game has been delayed to 2024.
>The genre could have a revival.
discord killed it, unless someone reinvents the genre it'll continue to be stale, south korea uses it mostly for gambling addict attraction which makes billions of mmo come and go in that place.
I'm confused, is "Gloom Break: Founders" the name of season 1, or is it just "Gloom Break" and they're calling the first season "Founder's Season" and then keeping the 1 in there in case people (like me) get confused about them calling it a "Founder's Season".
>if the combat is good
Depends on if you are expecting actual MMO combat or if you would be satisfied with MOBA-style combat.
>and if it has good raids/bosses
There's no raids yet. The maximum amount of players you can have during missions is 3. They have said that in the future they will look into +6 players, so maybe there will be some sort of raids in the future.

Not that other guy, but each character has 4 abilities. The game plays way more like a MOBA such as SMITE than an actual MMO.

what an organic post.
What the frick do you mean? Are you a moron or something?
…yes
This game isn't an MMO. I don't know why so many people keep saying that. It's like Warframe and then there's a lobby town + 1 "open area" where you can see something like 30-50 people in your instance.
how do you know the limit of people who are showed in the world?
I can't disclose that, for legal reasons, but you'll see on Tuesday that what I'm saying is correct.
Lying rat
What would I gain from lying? Here's direct quotes from the devs:
>"But I think in Skylight, we're looking at somewhere between 30 to 40 people, because Skylights lighter, it's a lighter load, because you can't attack you know, certain things you can't do so it's easier."
>“In our over lands, which are our shared spaces, I believe the number is somewhere between 20 and 30. And because it's kind of MMO lightish, the overlands aren't as big as say, like, a zone in Final Fantasy 14, which might want to support 100 players or more or unlimited even, whatever the server can handle.”

Should posted that before you rat Black person
>Highest paypig founders pack is
>130€
LMAO
what does it give?
i mean i know it's trash but what they pretend to be high value shit to give out?
Means to post this
so cosmetics will only change from buying new skins?
OH MY FRICKING GOD, I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE DEVS TO GET OVER THIS FRICKING UGLY ASS COLOR SCHEME
FRICK
>EA
>MMO
EA with special season happening during it and you dont want to miss out on the special stuff you can get during those season do you??
You guys remember when blizzard or EA idk some company made that Definitely not Monster Hunter mmo in this same style a few years ago?
Dauntless.
Still has decent player count but the way you progress in it is fricked. Fun for a free MH game.
Dauntless is still going stronk anon
kek, how many actual NEW behemonts they added this year, anon?
they already working on another projects for years now
Black person, if a EA game doesn't do well it gets server closed, else it's a game going strong.
I’ll play it if the file size isn’t huge.
Only reason I don’t play destiny 2 or ESO is because they take up too much fricking space on my ssd.
the artstyle reminds me of wildstar
its nothing like Failedstar however
probably a good thing
I miss wild star
A hero-based MMO has to be one of the worst ideas ever, one of the major cornerstones of MMOs is building your own unique character in a fantasy world. Here every one plays the same handful of characters and you'll run into yourself all the time, just how unbelievably dumb are these trend chasing morons?
...why do I like the aesthetic?
Because you have horrible, irredeemably shit taste. Stop posting this shit, let the thread die
because you're a shill being paid 4 yuan an hour
Controlling the characters and combat is decent enough, could use a bit more refining and complexity. But the "MMO" aspect of the game just fricking sucks, navigating the hub and zones just feels bad. They should have just made this a coop action game or something, and called it a day. It's gonna flop.
Nobody around here uses the zoomer phrase "sleeping on", frick off marketer.
thanks for the memo I'll make sure not to use that phrase next time
Anyone who still gets hyped for mmos in 2023 deserves to be ripped off.
I expect it will be mediocre but I'll give it a try and hope that it's good because the more good video games the better
Waven is an even lesser known game that is releasing a day after Wayfinder that I feel the same way about (Waven is actually launching f2p though, unlike Wayfinder's early access buy-in). Trying out both hopefully will last until Armored Core 6 which, again, is hopefully a good video game because i actually like video games
what the frick, thats not the one i was expecting. I can't let this slide, i've been triggered
you didn't watch it
Zoomer here, what's the source of the initial few seconds?
do the devs even call it an mmo or is this just something people have decided to decree the game as
because it functions the same as warframe, you pick a suit (character), you can tweak it a bit, there's some more open areas where you can see a few dozen people and the rest you're on small instanced parties
where did the mmo label come from
>do the devs even call it an mmo
No. They have said it has MMO-ish features, but that's about it. The rest is all from "journalists", youtubers, reviewers, etc.
So like what they did with genshin being an mmo?
No idea why folks even though genshin was a mmo, I don’t recall or marketing itself as one.
Think they call it a mmo lite because you can’t have that many people on screen at the same time.
>Everything about this game screams it's dogshit
>still interested because Airship Syndicate is making it
Someone get me out of this nightmare
I expect to get at bare minimum 20 hours of entertainment out of it
I got invited to that closed beta and didn't even bother trying it.
The only MMO coming out that has a chance to do well is whatever shit riots working on because league of legends has enough morons who would also play it but I doubt it will be good.
it's literally not an mmo
Then what is it? Dedicated raid pve game?
see
it's warframe/vindictus/dragon nest style
it's what he said, PvE MMO.
they are betting on the people that don't have time or will to pvp anymore and just want to do quick instanced shit.
even that hawken reborn game is trying this now.
a pve mmo is something like FFXIV and even that game you could somewhat-kinda argue is not really very much of an mmo considering how much is small group instanced
>hawken
lol, its just some asset flip with no content even multiplayer
it's one of the few FPS mecha stuff at the moment, souls core is coming as TPS and i intend on picking DxM2 because i already beaten dark souls 1 long time ago.
a small minority do, very fricking loud one.
Yea and I hate them, they should frick off and play real PvP. I’m tired of PvP gays coming into mmo threads and saying a new MMO NEEDS pvp or it will fail.
>a new MMO NEEDS pvp or it will fail.
just show them the billiions of pvp-focused mmos that come, and fail.
They will keep pushing for PvP in mmos with gank squads and other dumb shit like that
Most people do not care about PvP in mmos
So can I finally get something to replace the Spiral Knights shaped hole in my heart?

>Throne and Liberty
Throne and Liberty's combat is being revamped to turn it into action combat as we're speaking, confirmed by NCSoft's earnings report a few days ago. The game has been delayed to 2024.
i saw that news too but i think the fundamental structure of that game is past the the point of repair, same as Blue Protocol
lol that's actually hilarious. still not playing it
Until I see the new combat I have zero hope for the game. They should be ashamed of what they showed in the beta
>Palia
isn't this already out, and awful?
>Throne and Liberty
>Throne and Liberty
Who is going to tell him?
>The genre could have a revival.
discord killed it, unless someone reinvents the genre it'll continue to be stale, south korea uses it mostly for gambling addict attraction which makes billions of mmo come and go in that place.
I'll try it out
>early access
so when does it actually come out? not trying some early access shit and beta testing for free
The full F2P release is in 2024.
BUT YOU'RE GONNA MISS OUT ON ALL THE EARLY COSMETICS
THOSE ARE ALWAYS THE RAREST IN MMOS
IF YOU DONT HAVE THOSE AND SEE SOMEONE ELSE WHO DOES YOU WILL BE SUPER JEALOUS
NTA but the only thing that matters is dyes
YOURE GONNA MISS OUT ON ALL THE EARLY DYES ANON
I’m already playing it so I’m not missing them
Next year so at minimum 4 months wait
runs like shit and isn't fun
no
RATO.
>Early Access
>Season 1
No.
mommy
I'm confused, is "Gloom Break: Founders" the name of season 1, or is it just "Gloom Break" and they're calling the first season "Founder's Season" and then keeping the 1 in there in case people (like me) get confused about them calling it a "Founder's Season".
All I need to know is if the combat is good and if it has good raids/bosses
>if the combat is good
Depends on if you are expecting actual MMO combat or if you would be satisfied with MOBA-style combat.
>and if it has good raids/bosses
There's no raids yet. The maximum amount of players you can have during missions is 3. They have said that in the future they will look into +6 players, so maybe there will be some sort of raids in the future.
RAIDS HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I’m hoping it gains traction honestly.
I’ll play it. Because there’s a severe lack of new games at the moment.
I’ll play armored core aswell I guess.
wow
wow my butt
…please excuse my cursing.
>no gameplay webms
Miss me with this shit.
You can’t really post anything because everything was locked under nda and would have all your information on the screen unless you were a streamer
