I am hyped every time I look at my desktop wallpaper, which is from Starfield
This, can't wait.
Main problem with discussion is that people have 15 minutes of gameplay, three or so short developer commentaries, and two interviews. There's nothing left to learn, nothing left to dissect.
For me what killed the hype is the shitty Todd Howard mission control voice over
The game looks as bland as wonderbread.
>Good guy faction
>Good guy but a bit militaristic faction
>Generic ebil space pirate
Also I guarantee you have the quests are just going to invoke traveling to some shitty randomly generated planet. Anyone who still believes in Bethesda is a rube.
>The game looks as bland as wonderbread.
>>Good guy faction
There's already shots in a trailer where you see people criticise the UC for being too imperialistic
>>Good guy but a bit militaristic faction
You don't know that
ebil space pirate
Yea pirates are supposed to be evil, don't tell me you think the legion are morally grey because of roads
please be less of an obvious shill, it's really unnerving to know paid-off c**ts like you are here shitting up discussion while pretending to be genuine
>don't tell me you think the legion are morally grey because of roads
They are similar to the roman empire, the mongol empire, the arabian caliphate, the ottomans and so on.
Strong states with order, rule of law and an oppressed underclass of slaves. You don't think of them as "evil".
im excited, but isnt it a year away though? there's barely anything to talk about. except the shit gunplay and framerate...
Why did they show bad parts? Why did they show terrible shooting and AI, why didn't they show some frickin dialog or something that people play these games for
>he thinks people play modern Bethesda games for the dialogue
Lol
Lmao
KINO
IN
SPACE
It's funny that they actually showed that the game has the same copy & paste takeoff animation, no matter which planet you're on. Even the Mass Effect Andromeda devs put more work into that shit.
Where have you been the last month? Obsidian tards have been seething non stop since the gameplay reveal.
i wont be playing this game for years until it comes down to a reasonable price.
never understood "zero-day" buyers of games and never will.
its just gonna BE FALLOUT 4 IN SPACE.
no wonder the hype died.
when the trailer came out I realized how shit the shooting is, I dont know why people didnt suspect it sooner, bethesdas games were all ways shit shooters, you dont play fall out just for the shooting, I dont think i can play an other bethesda game with shit shooting, I cant play fo4 or nv for those reasons any more
>fricking dumps half a p90 into a single guy
the thing is they had people under the Bethesda publishing umbrella who could help them with shooting (id Software being the most obvious choice), so people thought that things would get better, even if only a LITTLE BIT, but they didn't even get that, they just got fallout 4's shooting mechanics completely recycled wholesale for Starfield
I was mainly excited about the environments in the game and the OST because I'm a real sucker for the atmosphere of Elder Scrolls games, but as soon as I heard the Inon Zur music and saw the landscapes were just grey/black rocks mainly, I lost all hope
Not every game needs to be a twitchy shooter where you move faster than the speed of light and can jump like a monkey
Yea it's called space and making a universe that's more grounded. I get it you prefer the more goofy cartoony settings
What excited me was seamless planetary transitions. When planets were just generated levels, it lost its shine.
The others were lost because they actually showed actual gameplay, which sucks in Bethesda games.
>Reveal game to the world
>Can't even get a fricking reload animation right
Emil Pagliarulo is a fricking moron. Like listening to him talk about his work on Oblivion he seems like theres something very wrong him.
How big is his role in this game's development? Is he the lead writer again?
>Is he the lead writer again?
Lead designer
there are daily starfield threads just like before the reveal
although now half of them is "why is the hype dead??"
It's Fallout 4 in space
shazam discord trannies are making it too obvious
Multiply No Man's Sky bugs by Bethesda bugs and I think you'll understand why the hype died. 16 times the bugs.
Don't worry, the game does not have seamless planetary transitions so NMS bugs don't apply.
Beyond Good and Evil 2 had street to solar system scaling with no loads at all
>Ubisoft game in development hell
>Trust us bro it's totally seamless
They'll do the same thing No Man's Sky does, hide the loading screen in the ascent/descent.
Imagination is always better than reality. It being just Fallout 4 in space also helped people lose interest.
