I've always been curious why JP VAs have so much more endurance for doing the job. They put so much more work into their voices on average, that I would think they'd be far more susceptible to throat problems and such, but it seems to be the other way around, and EN VAs lose their voices just by changing the pitch slightly for a day.
The JP original Frieza VA is still alive anon, the then current English VA (who was actually decent compared to the typical Funimation slop) was the one who died recently.

They are, I remember reading quite a few news of a JP VA going on hiatus because of throat surgery. Bakugou's VA is a case that comes to mind, he kept getting cast on roles that shouted a lot so eventually his throat couldn't take it anymore. Hearing his works post-surgery you can notice a difference.
