No. Felt like it was supposed to be a bonus mode for 1 and not the entire fricking game.

The weak pikmin should fear the Purple.

I had a blast, and thanks for reminding me that I still need to play the new one.

Yes. I don't like 2/4 as much as 1/3, cause with no real time limit the games lose their edge. Still, I found dungeon dives fun if only because some could really frick ya if you aren't ready.

Going from 2 to 3, the latter felt like it had barely any content. I’m not sure if that’s because of the lack of caves or what.

I think it has about as much as 1 did. 2's caves were just stuffed to the breaking point. IMO, they probably made 3's map a bit more simple to ease tards into using 3 captains.

I remember liking them and doing stalagmite stuff in pikmin is a great idea.

No. I love them. They’re pure ludo. That’s why 2 and 4 are tied for best in the series.

Not really, but ironically I liked them in 4. 4 was actually really good!

    I liked P4 caves but not P2’s.
For me, the charm of the series comes from optimizing as many treasures as you can under the time system. P2’s issue is that 85% of the game has no time limit imposed on the player. You can essentially take as much time as needed, and also the game is more of a slaughterhouse fest than something puzzle collecting like. People fricking love the Waterwraith for a reason, and it’s because he imposes a time limit on a player.
P4 is different because there is a time limit imposed even when you’re in caves. It’s very minor, but when you’re trying to route an entire area in a single day, time adds up real fast. Serene Shores and Giant’s Hearth are peak Pikmin areas because of this.

No, not at all. I feel like Pikmin 2 really misunderstood what was good about the 1st.

Love it, the bit of variation just on reloading the same floor made replaying always nice.
The little treasures and their entries were my favorite part of it though, glad it returned even if a good chunk of lines were just reused from 2.

Pikmin 1 is possibly the best game on gamecube. 2 is a moronic fan mod and 3/4 are unplayable.

As a kid, I hated them.
As an adult now, I think it was a good way to add difficulty to the games because Pikmin 1 and later, Pikmin 3 are too easy with just the overworld maps.

The caves of Pikmin 2 can be brutal (if you don't save scum) but an intense challenge.
Even in Pikmin 4, if you ignore all of what I would called 'accessibility features' like rewind or purchased items, the caves are just as difficult as Pikmin 2's in later areas.

P2 is the best game in the series.
