This I why I can't enjoy MHA. All these people with powers that developed at childhood and this guy is supposed to be a huge deviation for accidentally killing people. I'd argue it's because she's not a main character and therefore doesn't get the screentime that would force HORI to be creative about what she can do. I think it was cool how she used rebar to attach herself to one of the 2A people before fainting that one time, for example. I think if Deku had her quirk (or if she were the MC) there would be a more interesting showcase of the ability.

The limit is some vague requirement of lipids from her body. It's not 1:1 though since she can make things bigger than herself and even when she "runs out" it's not like she gets skinnier.

Exaggerating for rule of cool is one thing, but the sense of scale is complete whack here, mostly because it had to be paced for an animation. Deku's flying at super speed for a full 20 seconds, but didn't even reach halfway on the arena that's a few dozen meters wide at most. In the manga the two are standing like 5 meters apart and he only had time to take one or two steps before the concrete pillars came to stop them.

As it went on I found Hori's fight panelling to be messy and completely incomprehensible, even with the absolutely fricked pacing it's still the only series I watch rather than read
I'm the opposite and enjoy that most pages are a wimmelbilder (I really miss the crowd shots early on when you could pick out the quirks of background extras). I don't watch shonen anymore unless it's a movie with high budget/care put into the animation. I'm actually saving the MHA movies for a rainy day, but I've heard mixed reviews about them.
