i am going to try to sum it up in one simple post
its a money laundering scam, but not for the players, its more of a pyramid scheme setup.
>buy cheap 1 dollar game that only has clicking on a banana >every 18 hours it generates one random drop rate banana in your steam inventory, sometimes limited rate bananas >some bananas have a limited rate up and are super rare letting people sell them on the steam store >the creator of the game and steam gets a cut for every banana sold >literally infinite money for him over time for no effort at all >there is rumors he can also inject rare bananas into the steam system since he is the game dev and can influence supply and demand on rare bananas >everyone else is just simply farming bananas to get a few dollars every few days if they are lucky, a few cents at worst.
the worst part of it is 18 hours of electricity trump every banana you could potentially get. It isn't worth your time or your electricity. Yes you could argue that if you are using someone elses electricity it could be worth it having it open, but it also can burn your computer components out faster just running that shit 24/7 for 3 cents on the dollar every 18 hours (which is what you usually get)
Your average profile builder steamgay will gladly spend on those, just like some of them have spent several grand on badges
Some will even do it ironically for upboats or clown prizes
Only morons buy the rarest ones, i've only spent 20bux on my banana collection for my profile showcase
It's called being part of epic internet history, if you miss the chance you'll never get it again
if you want to speculate you can make money easier on a robinhood account with just 10 dollars invested in the regular market, rather than hoping for a random banana drop and then having to sell it.
What we have here is a speculation bubble or a banana bubble I guess.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH MY NFT SCAM THAT I BOUGHT INTO IS CRASHING
>They can't rugpull
He played? DOOMP IT.
What the frick is this and why do I keep seeing it and also mind if I save this Bill haha?
>pc master race

Wow. Wish I'd have thought of that.
Huh so the game is an analogy of real world economy.
Yeah kind of surprising the mossad has not neutralized the dev yet.
>mfw didn't put money into a SCM pump-n-dump and thus didn't lose hundreds of dollars gambling on literal banana jpegs
what I don't get is, why the frick are people even buying them? the "game" is just an image of a banana and a number, you can't see them in game
they're buying them to sell later
Steam profiles or reselling
>speculative asset with literally no real demand
what the frick
I know, right?
I'd be more willing to hang onto CS:GO crates than that since the crate supply goes down eventually

>3 cents
Of which 2 cents go to marketplace fees.
it's all yours my friend
TF2 chads we finally got a new game to play
Define "play"
Bananabros, what happened here?
man if i was god i'd just insta kill every homosexual who installed this scam, doesn't matter whether to play or bot it
Im playing it everyday and you wont do shit 🙂
Smite the developer too while you are at it.
buy a banana
why am i not getting any bananas now?
Gimme a banana!
no play cats instead https://steamdb.info/app/2977660/charts/
>same scam
my banana is doing a lil' somethin'
why does gaben allow an obvious bot game?
Bro they made tf2
Containment. Bots will exist, so it's better to honeypot them to spend those CPU cycles in a banana game than in CS2.
Everyone should play banana youll become rich easily
I know I have
suck my banana, you grifting b***h
okay i will play banana now
no

>spending a full band and a half on a Big Black Banana (BBB)
Some people should not be allowed to have financial independence.
Only morons buy the rarest ones, i've only spent 20bux on my banana collection for my profile showcase

>i've only spent 20bux
Assuming you didn't buy any banana over 3 cents, why the frick did you buy 667 bananas?
I was only pretending to be moronic, but some actual moron memers have legit spent $2 on that pepe banana
so as a human race its over huh
no meme
Are you supposed to eat the banana?
>eat

>Turd-worlders are so poor that they spend their time grinding for rare bananas for an hour or two that's only worth a dollar
...Grim
Best part is, only 1 out 100000 bananas are worth a dollar, over 99% of them are selling for 2 or 3 pennies
