Daaaamn. I remember getting this when I was with me mum at a Ross store. I think it was $10. It didn't play like Age of Empires (which I was hoping at the time) but had its own nice RTS style. Even got the mobile game some years back.

The 2nd game sucked and is unplayable because they fricked with up the v-sync making your peasents build too fricking slow.

There was a mod that fixed almost all the problems in the game but it was hosted on that modding filesite that died some years ago

I recommend using gnomes and Krolm's barbarians.
Gnomes build fast, while barbarians "politely" knock on the doors and "convince" the elf who answers to reconsider the whole kidnapping business.

loved this game so much as a kid. played it as an adult and i don't have the patience to wait for everyone to do their jobs.
