You already have to grind the levels regardless, lives aren’t adding anything interesting to the experience but let’s pretend intelligent game design isn’t something anyone wants so idiots like you can keep these companies afloat

the problem with shovel knight is, unless you're a speedrunner, you'll never need to break the checkpoints because the game showers you with so many gems anyway.
The problem isn't that there are lives, it's that they aren't used in a meaningful way. They shouldn't have been available in the shop (honestly get rid of the shop/bolts in general, it's one of the worst additions in the series) because you can scum the game with it. Rock n Roll is better for not having it because it makes you learn the game.
I know this is a bait thread but Mega Man 11 already has a baby tier slow mo mechanic and absolutely broken weapons, on top of being very easy on the normal setting even without those things. PLUS it has literal game journalist difficulty and I can't imagine someone who's so shit they complain about lives would feel like they're above playing on the toddler mode.
My first run of this game was on Superhero difficulty so you're just braindead if your post is genuine
I hate how recently a lot of people are hating on MM 11 like I did after all the dick sucking it got around release. Its a lot like MM 9 where you actually need to use the tools given too you to make the game significantly easier. Levels are still too long though.
what
what's the better system, starting over from the start of the level every time, or the second part of the level til you beat it? either way I disagree
They’re called checkpoints, look it up
that's one of the alternative I gave you
and you're a homosexual
Learn English, dumb b***h
learn read
Megaman has checkpoints. It just also has lives. No you may NOT fail your way to the end of the game. Learn, homosexual.

You can have a nice day anytime before God does
Every 2D platformer should just copy Shovel Knight and let you destroy checkpoints for rewards

I did it for the achievements.
Shit bait. have a nice day
this game is hard ...
i'm on the boss for blast man and if i die i get sent back to the start

>can't jump through boss doors
SOULLESS
DROPPED
One of the few cases where soulless applies
Unironically truly soulless
an actual reason to drop the game
how is it supposed to look?
he freezes mid-air as the door opens, the camera moves with him, and he doesn't drop until it stops on the other side
The developers legitimately apologized for this, but it is a limitation of the game engine
>putting platforms in a liver
zozzed
>later X games had checkpoints and lives
What was up with that anyway?
