Nah, it's obvious that a lot of heart and soul went into it, the small but deep scale of the world and everything being handplaced made exploration much more rewarding than copy pasted shit with random loot and crafting, e.g. Witcher 3 or Ass Creed. Even more so in Hardcore mode without quest compass and GPS. Getting lost in the spooky woods and having to orient yourself by the sun and distant sounds is a very immersive experience. Some nice choice & consequence branching quests as well, although mostly in the side content, the main story had sadly an unsatisfying ending.

I just wish we got the game that they originally had planned instead of the episodic shit, which still went nowhere. Reminder that their original plan for the game's story was drastically different and several pre-release screenshots prove that.

This game was actually made by liberals and leftists, the lead designer even admitted it in an interview. Also the combat is objectively shit, and no, not just group combat, all of it. Once you learn how to do master strikes the game becomes complete trash.
The game looks good but ultimately it's ruined by the poor AI and poor writing. Instead of writing quests that would have been suitable for a "real" life setting and offer a novel take on questing, they wrote quests that essentially could be featured in any other fantasy rpg.
The greatest strength of the game is wandering around the world and looking at all the attention to detail of the forests, brooks, and villages.
The bird trapping quest was pretty kino.
