It sure is tons of fun whether you played the original or not and it scratches a similar itch as AoM if you ask me. It's getting a lot of love with each dlc and patch, e.g. they reworked the Ottomans to have more unique unique units and fewer European ones. They keep putting insane content into the game and make civs more diverse rather than flatten them out for esport balance's sake. Who does that?
This makes me feel optimistic about AoM.
>The moronic revisionism was two name changes
And the moronic "Community Plaza instead of Fire Pit cus' injuns don't dance! (Ignore the Ghost Dancers)", and the Warchiefs' skill animal friendship only working on human guardians because "muh magical injun stereotype" (domestication must be a concept alien to natives while mind control is ok), and that shit about the mines that I forgot its name.

They made it a tribal marketplace because of some Lakota and Iroquois belief about "respecting nature" and shit. I can believe the Lakota not wanting that and keeping it as a gimmick, because I'm pretty sure they didn't even try to mint coins or use precious metals as currency, but for the Iroquois it's just dumb.

lmao, that's not even true. Modern Natives make up so much shit in order to try to keep the white devil away.
If you only care about basic SP campaign, then original is actually better.
If you wan to play skirmish or MP, the Remastered with Italian expansion is MUCH better and with actually very good new additional merc units.
That's such a stupidly autistic desire. Why would she turn them into a lion and a bear when the point was to render them into harmless pigs as in the Odyssey
Because in the actual myth you got turned into a fitting animal. The greedy crew got turned into pigs because they stuffed their faces with circes food. There were other people on the island that were transformed into more noble animals.
I think it was Odysseus seeing a lion or something that clued him into the fact the pigs were his crew
I found it funny that Greek and Norse units had these specific names like hypaspist or hersir while Egyptians were all very generic like spearman or camelry. I think they'll spice up the vocabulary on those.
I expect the devs to go completely nuts with the small changes, if not right away, then in future patches/DLCs, just like the AoEs have changed a lot, and they sure won't care how much people complain about bloat. Stuff like extra minor gods, more distinct major gods, quirkier techs, additional unit types, new game modes, everything.
AoE II got some dlc with new campaigns. I could see more short campaigns like the Golden Gift. Maybe new relics, like one that lets non-atlanteans have no-drop villagers. Remodeling Kronos with a new design would be good because I've always been underwhelmed by his design, and portrait. He's just a lava man, and doesn't even have his scythe. The norse titan gets a weapon, why can't Kronos?
people keep claiming they're going to blackwash characters but they've yet to actually do this, they even still kept the thing where every villager and generic unit is white even for civs like Mali in AoE2DE
Extremely doubtful. I'm expecting it will get the reforged treatment based on the trailer which was just a way shittier version of the original opening.
Wouldn't surprise me if the China dlc gets memory holed altogether
To make the chink DLC work they'd need to somehow connect all campaigns like how they did with Titans or else it will be the same forgettable worthless shit which would mean all main characters which happen to be black now bowing to some chink overload or some shit
I always thought it would be cool to have a building where your peasants worship you and gain god powers. And you can spend these to use god abilities.
C&C Tiberium Wars or Battle for Middle Earth have unlimited op powers.
They're gonna let you disable Titans and let you pick your color in skirmish.
absolutely perfect
Ajax is going to be black.
>AYO THIS HELEN b***h PROLLY FINE AF MY NIKKUH, WHY WE GOTTA LET MENELAUS GET THAT SNOWBUNNY ASS??
>Ajaxquarius, you mustn't disrespect the king in such a way
>SHUT YO BRONZE-WEARIN ASS UP CRACKA IT'S FEBRUARY UP IN THIS MF I BE WEARIN GOOOLD
SHEEEEEEIT
GOOOOOLD?
Anubis BBC
Only the new American civilization will worship exclusively blacks.
ISIS A BADDIE THO FR
They'll make it look worse.
They will change all the voices in the game to english, forget the Prostagma! and Volume!, it's gone.
Why would they do that?
You mean to tell me they're gonna mute the Volume?
CARLOS
>Volume
its VULOME my anglos
turret, not turrent
More "diverese" god portraits.
You joke but I can see them replacing the old portraits thinking they can make better ones, like that weird promo art they used for extended edition.
Sounds about right. Looking forward to black Zeus and dark skinned pinoy Thor. Maybe Odin will be an ftm trans native american.
Higher definition, modern hardware support and bug fixes of course.
...what else?
Haven't they done it in Enhanced version alreadY?
Was AoM really an attemp by Ensemble to mimic the StarCraft formula of weak late + strong early, jack of all trades and weak early + strong late?
>A cat Named Mittens
What did they mean by this?
China rework
Indians (or aztecs)
God I hate the Atlanteans so much.
Show me on the doll where the no-drop villagers touched you
Atlanteans are just so incredibly passive to play and doubling up on Greek myth doesn't feel interesting.
Not him, but I like the no-drop villagers, it was just a huge mistake to make the Atlanteans half-assed Romans.
Age of Wakanda
They're gonna make Arkantos a trans woman.
They already did the heavy lifting with AoE3, which is mechanically very similar to AoM and also much more complex.
>AoE3
Is the remaster of AoE 3 worth to play?
It sure is tons of fun whether you played the original or not and it scratches a similar itch as AoM if you ask me. Are there mods for the moronic revisionism yet?
The moronic revisionism was two name changes, mods for it were out on day 1 but people just stopped caring in the long term.
>The moronic revisionism was two name changes

What's better about the original's campaign?
Less concerned with culturally accurate portrayal of injuns
They remade the Sioux/Lakota campaign to be more in line with modern sensibilities(tm)
The art, and everyone will hate it
I would like it if Arkantos was a lion and Ajax was a bear in the Circe island mission and they both still had their normal special ability
That's such a stupidly autistic desire. Why would she turn them into a lion and a bear when the point was to render them into harmless pigs as in the Odyssey

What the hell is Atlanteans? Why did they make up a civ nobody would have wanted when they could have added a real one?
They eventually did add a real one in the form of China who sucked
You hear about Atlanteans throughout the entire campaign, the main hero is Atlantean, it really wasn’t a surprise.
Will they fix the China DLC or pretend it never happened?
That would be an okay change.
>Will they fix the China DLC or pretend it never happened
If they're smart, they will do the originals first, then test the waters for the DLC.
I found it funny that Greek and Norse units had these specific names like hypaspist or hersir while Egyptians were all very generic like spearman or camelry. I think they'll spice up the vocabulary on those.

besides what those obsessed with nignogs are saying, the devs might make the Greeks more tanned. Get that Mediterranean look on.
Original Greeks weren't tanned. You're thinking of Turks. They weren't blond Aryans either.
>But Italians-
Not related to Greeks at all.
>Get that Mediterranean look on
>Retold
>soulless teaser that screams mobile game
No thanks
Obviously they'll add Art of War scenarios and perhaps some other challenge missions.
kangs

probably gonna spend a lot of time on fixing the mess that was the Chinese civ and rework totally their campaign id say
Will they remove wuv woo for being a hippo or push it harder for the rainbow trail?
people keep claiming they're going to blackwash characters but they've yet to actually do this, they even still kept the thing where every villager and generic unit is white even for civs like Mali in AoE2DE
They'll make the chink campaign the main one because pandering to China makes money.
I'm sorry I had to remind you guys that this DLC exists.
Extremely doubtful. I'm expecting it will get the reforged treatment based on the trailer which was just a way shittier version of the original opening.

Not only is that not going to happen, but the original dlc wasn't even made for them and it isn't even available in their language.
>Lets give "Plenty" as a baseline for our new Civ.
What the frick were they thinking
I hope they give the non greeks civs better voicelines, starting with the Norse.
>inb4 UH YAOI?
You leave my terrible voiced northmen alone! It is a part of the charm of the game.
Single use god powers is kind of shit, don't you think?
Not really, they are very strong.
You can just use cheats if you want to spam them for fun
I always thought it would be cool to have a building where your peasants worship you and gain god powers. And you can spend these to use god abilities.
C&C Tiberium Wars or Battle for Middle Earth have unlimited op powers.
Think there was a mod where the temple became a favor market so you could sink extra favor in to refreshing a given God Power
That sounds cool I also think after building a wonder you'd have to worship there to gain a game ending ability to spice the game up a bit
Hopefully they'd get a clue and finally swap Anubis for the actual Egyptian war deity Wepwawet
Only if they keep the anubutes
