>it's incredible how much degeneracy you can sell to westerners who just want to see anime breasts
Difference being that it isn't really happening. It's a fricking cartoon.
>started playing yu-no >done ayumi, kanna and most of kaori's route
this game holds up well imo and doesn't need a strict walk through to follow at all and I wish I hadn't followed that 'advice' because I would have had a lot more fun playing around with the israeliteel save system.
honestly even if there are some 'gotchas' they don't really matter that much because the skip text is pretty quick.
You basically need a guide to play to get the true ending. You need to israeliteel save at certain specific points in order to get unstuck in certain situations and or to further the plot by doing an additional task. I'm not sure how anyone was supposed to figure it out without a guide honestly.
You probably do need a basic summary guide to figure out how to 100% the game but I definitely don't think you need to closely follow one like I first did while playing and I actually think it ruins it if you do
Jewel's are save slots but you need to keep one israeliteel unused in your tool. When you click the crystal that opens your map you'll see lines overlayed on the game that tells you what route you're on. If the crystal is flashing that indicates there's a branching point so you just use a israeliteel save there, do the branch and then reload if you want to see the other side.
>It really sounds overly complicated
It's a game made in 1996 I'll cut it some slack. >Do you like the remake? 🙂
playing the original and based on that screenshot I'm glad I did
I dropped it early, but I should give it another shot. Did Mitsuki and Ayumi route based on the guide but I missed a israeliteel in Mitsuki route and what I thought at the time was that I'd have to replay her route to get the stupid fricking israeliteel. Also trying to find your old israeliteels is a pain in the ass. If you're going to play the original. Play with a guide and follow that to a tee. Don't be a moron like me and think you can separate it or use israeliteels where you're not suppose to
Alright, so it's not a complete loss then. It's just that this character in particular was completely massacred on top of having a much less interesting scene visual

Yeah... It's acceptable I suppose, not as bad as the original comparison up there made it seem like. That one was really a night and day change for the worst
I just wish they hired a better artist. There's just something about this artist's soft female faces having something weird about 'em. The men are generally fine tho'

>doesn't need a strict walk through to follow at all and I wish I hadn't followed that 'advice'
It weirded me out a bit to see people these days treating YU-NO's game system as an obstacle to enjoying it as a "novel." That system was its major selling point back when it came out. Without it it'd be just another novel-ADV.
yeah, Nocturnal Illusion is one of the fav old school one I've played. Avoid the renewal version, the horrible vaseline smeared CGs, urrgh. Also gotta be played with the midi OST for that absolutely haunting mansion track
What are some of the essential /vr/ visual novels? I'm new to this whole thing - Ace Attorney may have popped my cherry, but I want to experience some traditional visual novel games now.
>finished epilogue
it was a good game but I vastly preferred the first half more than the second. I've read that they had to neuter the second half because of budget constraints which is a shame if that's the case.
isn't that a scene where the MC gets cucked?

I never understood the israeliteel save thing and got stuck. I guess I'm moronic.

It really sounds overly complicated. How do you know if you went to the right branch? How do you even chose a branch?
Do you like the remake? 🙂

Are you sure?
Yeah, definite downgrade.
Based on her character Kanna is probably the best case for the remake's art style but I'd still prefer the original for everything else.
Lucina?
The worst offense is what they did to the oyabin guy.

Pretty accurate description of my ex
I did hate the most chemistry he had in the game was with the school nurse and yet there isn't a route where they are together.

is eve burst error or desire worth playing? yu-no is always shilled but I never seen anyone say anything about these two.
They don't have the gameplay of YU-NO but the stories are good

I started Da Capo not to long ago but the second time I tried to load it up it kept freezing before the intro movie and hasn't worked since.
Just wanted to say thanks to that one guy for the info on Tsui no Sora. Was great just like subahibi
