2. Only developers who make proper melee action gameplay are Team Ninja, Itagaki Games, FromSoftware and sometimes Capcom.
If Black Myth: Wukong or that Korean game Project EVE are released and good games, then cool, I'll support them, but I don't have any expectations for those games.

In general I agree, it was very noticeable in Elden Ring. Bloodborne feels pretty good though and the DS1 and DS2 combat feels appropriate for the overall slower pace of the games, with more emphasis on playing methodological. Dark Souls 3 and Elden Ring feel like some weird in between though that isn't fun.

Elden Dogshit Ring Spirit Ashe summons do not have this penalty. Tiche/Mimic +10 literally solo bosses, the vast majority of traditional Souls summons are incapable of doing this.
