I think Phil has positioned himself in the same situation, if Starfield isn’t a literal 10/10 he will be giga-fricked since they went all in on it being exclusive and it being the only game they have…if BG3 wasn’t so good he might have got away with Starfield being a 7/10or 8/10 but anything less Xbox will be a fricking laughing stock
ngl, kinda want it to be shit to see the meltdowns
If (actual) gays existing bother you: its full of homosexualry and a -100/10
If it doesn't bother you: its probably a decent game

Kind of agree with the sentiment. Starfield is going to be getting its shit kicked in because gays are going to use it as a punching bag. I can already see gays going to make webms of a BG3 cutscene and a conversation in starfield and the jank animations that comes with it.
Todd is going to have a rough week
nta, BG3 is a very solid CRPG. If you like the genre, you'll definitely enjoy BG3 without a question.
The reason people say it's >bad, horrible, shit, etc.
is because they don't like the genre, 5th edition DnD (this is atleast understandable) or they have no fricking clue what CRPGs are or how they play out. They tried out a genre and expected something wildly different, it's on them. >full of homosexuals
is because they have never played CRPGs in their lives before. CRPGs almost ALWAYS had gay people. Maybe not to the number this game has but the fact stands that they were almost always a part of the genre because it is about choices after all.
What's also interesting is to see a lot of people cry about gay or trannies but they seem to be unaware that you can ignore or even kill them if you want to. Which is also a standard in CRPGs. This only shows how a lot of idiots or normalgays entered the genre thinking its like your run-of-the-mill FPS which doesn't allow you to shoot npcs or something. gays exist in the fantasy world probably because they exist in the real world, how you want to interact with them is up to you.
The vast majority of those who shit on the game probably never played CRPGs and don't know what to expect from it. Those who criticize the lack of customization when compared to say Wrath of the Righteous are those who are obviously versed in the genre.
>The game will get 9/10 and 10/10 from critics no matter how bad it is just like Cyberpunk 2077
not a chance, Cyberpunk changed everything and no game will ever get a free pass like that again, Starfield is going to look awful next to BG3 with its character and dialog interactions that are stuck in 2009-2011 era of gaming, the deep dive showed that they just don’t give a frick but BUY THIS STARFIELD XBOX HEADSET AND STARFIELD XBOX WATCH!
No shit. BG3 will work twice on the dialogue because that's all they can offer
Meanwhile Starfield and other Bethesda games has roleplaying that is based on sandbox gameplay
Skyrim's "You are what you play" leveling system is supporting their design philosophy even further
>Meanwhile Starfield and other Bethesda games has roleplaying that is based on sandbox gameplay
I don’t dispute that, but its just going to be the same old formula that they’ve been pushing since Oblivion. nothing wrong with that, but for a new IP, their first big title since they have access to Microsoft funding/tech, they really needed to push the boat out and give us something fresh. all I’m seeing is Skyrim/Fallout but in space, I dunno, I see this being a very solid 8/10 that will might be dragged down to a 7/10 depending on how fleshed out some aspects are like shipbuilding

true. the individual npcs are not scripted. rather, the radiant ai system bethesda developed sets goals for npcs that they can accomplish dynamically >skyrim has infinite quests

Get ready to commit suicide I guess.
