Syringes speed up the cooldown rate of your R if you're using the base one and not the alt. Enough attack speed can also let you fly with your M1 if you aim down. I *think* it might also increase how fast the manual reload goes, which can make chaining snipes faster but also harder.
Oh yeah it also makes your R charge faster in addition to the less downtime. So with enough attack speed and maybe some lysate cells you can replace your main snipe with your R.
don't you do less damage with sniper's charged shot if you have high attack speed? I’m pretty sure faster attack speed lowered the max damage on the charge shot in ror1, but I’m not sure if it’s the same in returns. It probably is though, so I’ve just been avoiding attack speed increases on sniper.
Sniper is the only survivor I can consistently win monsoon/loop with right now. I feel like such a shitter but damn is he fun to use. I didn’t know about cancelling the charge shot, I’ll have to try that.

How the frick do you beat monsoon as chef? Stage 1 always goes smoothly but by stage 2 my damage is starting to dip, and by stage 3 I do basically no damage. It takes me like 15-30 cleavers to kill a single enemy.
haven't been in a returns multiplayer game yet, what's the stack of clovers you aim for now?
I thought clovers were purely per player? As in the player with the actual kill gets to determine if an item drops based off of HIS clovers, not the entire lobby combined. Unless its just monster tooth because indie code.
I feel like a lot of the new skills aren't a good fit for how risk of rain is played, they are all trying to manage some resource or have some niche interaction when the only thing that ever mattered was burst and movement
RoR1 drones were always fricking useless, and it's the same in RoRR. One exception being the special drones, they do actually feel impactful, but they are too rare. Most of the time I scrap drones for more items.
Personally, I think drones should still have HP, but instead of fricking dying, they should be disabled for X amount of time/until next stage. They die in 2-3 hits from elites all the time.

you need the repair kit though, it's a must
once you start being able to get big boy drones they are very very good, but you need to not shit the bed and get them killed

he has movement tech that lets him zip accross the entire level instantly, and his secondary skill is probably the most op skill in the game since it can shoot through terrain, has infinite pierce, auto targets enemies, and can be used to keep yourself in the air
If you use the alt dash for Pilot, jump then dash into the floor you get a frickton of momentum and you slide forward very far. If you time it right you can use jumps to keep the momentum and go further.
I can't seem to get this to work.
I noticed that he will slide a little bit after dashing if you don't press any movement input.
Is this timing really tight? Do you dash like right as he lands back on the ground after jumping?
Oh wait I think I figured it out, I just had it backwards. You dash, and jump immediately after dashing without inputing any movement. It's the same tech as Commando's slide in ror2

huntress and sniper are my favs outside of merc and I play a lot of merc. Being good at sniper feels like and actual art kiting enemies with his backflip and huntress has the insane mobility that merc has (her auto aim while shooting has dogshit tracking tho)
I honestly was expecting RoRR to be a lot more than just 6 map layouts for each locales, a couple new enemies in the pool, skins, trials, and items adapted from 2/Starstorm. The extra phase with Providence was a pleasant surprise though. I hoped that there were actual new stages and paths to end the run like how Binding of Isaac's content evolved into. Now that I think about it, Starstorm similarly had the nega versions of the characters that BoI did in the form of Nemesis characters which added another layer of depth to work towards in unlocking shit.
They'll probably add more content later on. Remember, loader and chef weren't in the base game either, they came later as part of a free patch.
Also, 6 layouts feels like a ton in comparison to risky 2.

Yeah they should've definitely put the effort into new stages rather than new layouts since most new layouts are annoying or don't add anything and just end up making the game harder to learn.

Most people dont run variants anymore because it relies on MSU, along with 90% of the variants just being bloat (though the remaining 10% are cool-ish)

was considering this, the bowtie, and just flipping its direction, so its at least a lil easier to tell from a distance even without its green outline

I really like the cat from LiT, but I'm not sure if doing that specifically for Clover would be stepping on its toes too much.
Just do the easy models like Gold Gun and Arms Race, and worry about the hard ones at the end.

looking to host modded vanilla+ style ror2 in the future, first time doing so and this is the modpack i have together so far. if peeps could take a look and give some feedback on what they think should be added/changed that'd be appreciated. Pack is intended to be a mostly vanilla experience, really only adding cut/unused/ror1/or high quality content. client side qol mostly omitted so players can just add what they want themselves. thanks anons

Why not simply >damaging enemies next to interactables reduces their price by $1 (+$1) for every (set your number here) damage. scales over time.
You'd be locked in place next to the purchasable within interaction range and spamming the button, which is no more fun than staying in the void cells / moon batteries spheres,
The idea of this is having an area deattached from you which you can go in and out and go around and so on, think of REX's special: >REX can shoot it anywhere, here you're locked to where chests are >REX can only have it in one place at once, here you can put it in three different places >REX's area expires after a few seconds, here it expires automatically after cost becomes too low

for the artificer one you can actually surprisingly use the flamethrower but you might need a few more than 15 cause the detection is a bit iffy

I'm not sure what can break anything by going out of bounds but I do know a spot that you can go out of bounds on the final map.
I once had just enough move speed with Pilot to dash through a wall in frozen tundra but couldn't get out at all without clinging to the inner wall at the same move speed so had to finish that run early. If you can consistently go in and out it's great, if not it's a restart.
Supposedly they already learned about it during development and left it in intentionally, I'm not expecting it to get patched out entirely but a nerf could definitely happen.

Makes sense, in 2 you have plenty of ways to deal with shitty RNG thanks to scrappers, printers and the shop. In 1/Returns you just have to bite the bullet when you get something shitty (which will happen often due to 80% of the item pool being shit) and hope you get something better before you get hit with a random blighted horde on stage 4.

Any mods that change some of the RoR2 bosses to be more threatening? I've tried Augmented Bosses, but while some of the ideas are good some are absolutely moronic. Some wonderful examples include:

I want some of the bosses to not be pushovers later on in runs. I want to feel the fear of a Blazing Stone Titan again, which wasn't balanced in the slightest, but you could at least avoid its laser of doom if you played smart.

Plotchads, what are the lore implications of Vengeance artifact? I'm not dumb enough to not know the writers probably think of the story far less than I do, but just humor me yeah? Providovi was responsible for Blighted enemies in Risk of Rain, that's why they're absent in 2. But Umbral characters are very clearly Blighted by another name, and the name "Vengeance" seems to imply Providence is enacting it from beyond the realm of life. Thoughts? Am I moronic?

Risk of rain returns doesn't feel like a game with a lot of confidence in its difficulty curve

To me default primary feels easier to use. Alt primary isn't much better against flyers (i actually find it worse against birds / evolved lemurians).
All i gotta say is work on your jump game to dodge melee enemies better and bunnyhop with his dash while scorched to save time and stay ahead of the difficulty curve

so the arsonist mod update, how do you guys feel about it so far? I feel the alternate flamethrower is a bit weak. the fireball primary seems to be better in my limited experience.
I mean he is, pyro is probably the best pyromaniac representative there is in gaming. I mean is default m1 is basically the dragons fury without the on hit benefits and airblast.
the flamethrower is FRICKED with supercritical, you pick up like two attack speed items and suddenly you overheat instantly
without attackspeed it felt like a chore to even get to supercritical, weakened him even further, now that attack speed makes it worse I'll just stay away from that combo.
also I think the flaregun burst explosion is a little too spread out, and the flamethrower should have a small lingering flame trail a la killing floor firebug for a very short time, maybe supercritical would make it longer and do more damage.
I don't like the HEAT gimmick.

providence's fight is certainly not balanced for this stage. i've had this happen to me at least thrice, and at least twice i got cornered by a laser and died instantly (literally instantly, that shit pierces everything) to the skull projectile.
You were supposed to not let him spawn his beams like that.
He has a set attack pattern and spawns those huge beams about each 1/4 HP lost. (you can skip beams if deal damage fast enough). He doesn't seem to spawn a new beam as long as his previous beam is still active. He spawns 2 instead of 1 at around 25% HP. His 6-way spinning beam attack he only does after he finishes his attack chain and does his resting animation (the one he starts the last phase with)
Even knowing only that beams spawn at HP thresholds and 6-way occurs after the rest animation, you can easily control where he spawns all his shit. Basically just stick closer to arena's sides when provi's HP is close to a threshhold (preferably on the upper level) and make sure provi himself is close to arena's side between you and a wall when he's finishing his attack chain.

Have the devs ever mentioned toning down the damage that blighted enemies do? Most of my lost runs are to a blighted enemy suddenly appearing on top of me and one-shotting me out of nowhere. Very annoying. Blighted hordes of many can outright kill runs if you're unlucky.
Really? When we played the game was borderline unplayable as it was running at like 15fps constantly. Unless you're looking directly upwards which may push it to 30

Nice Warbanner Elite, but it's not in the config >Ranger's kit is fun (Reminds me of NemSniper from SS1), but the burst damage is a tad overtuned
Ranger's animations are about 5/10, some are serviceable, some feel stiff from her not lifting her knees enough or swaying her shoulders enough when moving or shooting >Items are pretty cool with neat variety, and a very simple, but effective equipment
It does seem like animations are still in progress and damage was nerfed a tad, but she's absolutely disgusting with about 1 or 2 greens like Bandolier, and a void item or two, just unstoppable.
Do y'all think to add Sandswept at one point or just completely uninteresting/bad/broken that I didn't miss?

Oh wait, I'm dumb as hell. They added the ability to tweak every single item and every single variable. Still can't tweak Ranger, or disable her, and you can't disable the Elite yet either, but honestly, I sorta like it. Still upset it's not in the config, though.
Does anyone have any tips for Mercenary in ROR2? I know about all the cancels and tech and everything. I don't know If I'm just not utilizing them right but he is zero fun to play as and I die all the time. I don't have the same issue with any of the other survivors. Trying to get this mastery skin has felt like like pulling teeth.
If I remember correctly you need to prioritize getting as many exposure procs off as possible. For instance you can time your third swing with one of your dashes and that swing will carry forward with the dash for a bit causing multiple enemies to get exposure.
You also don't want to prioritize attack speed until you have decent items. Having some is fine just don't spam a syringe printer. Reason is this can frick up your combos and timings which would be fine if you had more defensive items first. Don't be afraid to just eviscerate and dash out if fighting Elder Lemurians, those things will end you.

Also get the corrupted version of ukulele ASAP. Everythings going to be near you anyways because melee so you might as well play into his good single target damage.
There really isn't much to it, he doesn't do much damage until he has some proc and attack speed items but he has crazy good survivability and mobility, so just use his broken iframes to safely win fights and scout the whole map for items so you can get your damage up. Attack speed especially is broken on him no matter what, spam it as much as reasonably possible.
the healing zone spawns under every dead enemy ever which essentially means the entire ground heals you after a few stages. you don't have to stand still.
Umbral also breaks a lot if using latest version. I couldn't for the life of me get the phase to work where you have to kill the balls linking to Mithrix. They always die instantly, but the next phase never starts so you get soft-locked.
Bilghted are an elite type. They're super tanky, deal tons of damage, and can spawn as another elite type in addition to being blighted.
So you can get a blighted frenzy gay that will tp to you.
finally managed to get a loop and above lvl 20
mercenary with full alt loadout is very fun

It's a lot more balanced now yeah, it's not an instant win anymore and its effect only starts to become really significant later in the run, but you actually need to play well and get other good items to get to that point.

Yes to both. Attack speed affects the reload minigame and the speed at which the charge bar fills up. I wouldn't call it a liability, it is just a matter of getting used to it gradually as your aspd increases.
Quickscope is less max damage but you can focus down on the boss specifically through the crowd more easily
but if your gameplan is to just max-charge shots into crowds then dont use it

Oh early on when the game released I heard you needed to be a specific character to collect specific shards. I guess I assumed that was the case since I only ever found one until now where I happened upon a second one. That's a relief actually.
Pretty sure that was never ever true at least on account of the fact that Bandit's prism is in the tutorial and you can't tutorial with anyone except Commando.
Anyway, good thing I let you know, I can't imagine the sheer terror of prism-hunting without loader.

While I said that this new mod would disable the unstable / unfinished content from turbo edition to make hosting easier, I couldn't be bothered to write code to disable it, so I just disabled such content in the mod itself. So for now TurboEditionX just adds wacky dance support to grenadier.
This latest turbo edition update fixes the dreadful worms bug, which is why I got it out as early as now. Worms artifact's behavior also got changed so hopefully it should be more fun to play with it

ive baited another gaylord into helping with the item models, so im going back and forth (one for classicitemsreturns, one for turbo) on the item models. we'll get this shit done
You want the timestop green item if possible, as turrets will work with it and as soon as one turret gets destroyed, you can just replace it to "refresh" the item CD, it's literally free damage and even if your turret gets one tapped, it still triggers

Get an amethyst so you can bypass the ungodly cooldowns on your turrets. If you have Timekeeper's Secret then you basically won the game because you can just pop your amethyst and drop a mew turret every time one of them dies whilw giving you ample opportunity to DPS and recharge tour amethyst because of the constant Timekeeper procs.
I haven't played with his alt turret, but I susoect that anything survivability-based that can keep ot alive while it's rapidly self-damaging would be great on it. Hermit scarves, prophet's cape, Dio's Fren, maybe some lifesteal too.
Interactive items all use the same system for determining how many get placed in the stage, it also scales with player count which is why wipes by x3 mountain shrine on level 1 are a thing in multiplayer but not so often solo. That includes all shrines, chests, drones, and barrels. Some artifacts manipulate it, but the teleporters (both the exit and where you spawn) are the only guarantees

Am I actually insane, or are the stages way too big now? 1x zoom is definitely ideal for getting items and the TP but you can barely see during fights. 2x is better but you just can't see anything now.

How do syringes and energy cells work on Sniper? Is there any benefit or should I just ignore them?
Syringes speed up the cooldown rate of your R if you're using the base one and not the alt. Enough attack speed can also let you fly with your M1 if you aim down. I *think* it might also increase how fast the manual reload goes, which can make chaining snipes faster but also harder.
Oh yeah it also makes your R charge faster in addition to the less downtime. So with enough attack speed and maybe some lysate cells you can replace your main snipe with your R.
don't you do less damage with sniper's charged shot if you have high attack speed? I vaguely remember someone telling me in ror1 the damage is based on time spent charging and not the actual bar. on a related note, man sniper is just so much fricking fun

I’m pretty sure faster attack speed lowered the max damage on the charge shot in ror1, but I’m not sure if it’s the same in returns. It probably is though, so I’ve just been avoiding attack speed increases on sniper.
Sniper is the only survivor I can consistently win monsoon/loop with right now. I feel like such a shitter but damn is he fun to use. I didn’t know about cancelling the charge shot, I’ll have to try that.

not that guy, but what does the console say when that happens? does it go all red? if not, you might just have to wait a while. if it does go red, try shortening the folder name for the profile you're using, since /apparently/ modman is shit and has a filename length limit for some godforsaken reason.

How the frick do you beat monsoon as chef? Stage 1 always goes smoothly but by stage 2 my damage is starting to dip, and by stage 3 I do basically no damage. It takes me like 15-30 cleavers to kill a single enemy.

I thought clovers were purely per player? As in the player with the actual kill gets to determine if an item drops based off of HIS clovers, not the entire lobby combined. Unless its just monster tooth because indie code.

I feel like a lot of the new skills aren't a good fit for how risk of rain is played, they are all trying to manage some resource or have some niche interaction when the only thing that ever mattered was burst and movement
fact: all player drones should be invulnerable, but weak.
RoR1 drones were always fricking useless, and it's the same in RoRR. One exception being the special drones, they do actually feel impactful, but they are too rare. Most of the time I scrap drones for more items.
Personally, I think drones should still have HP, but instead of fricking dying, they should be disabled for X amount of time/until next stage. They die in 2-3 hits from elites all the time.

i felt competant playing all the characters in the original game, but I struggle to be succesful in RORR outside of playing merc, and occasionally pilot. Merc is the most fun to me in RORR, but I'd like to branch out.

I like playing merc bc his abilities and animations make him feel like a jedi, landing counters feels satisfying, and 3 methods of invulnerability on melee makes it easy to play.

he has movement tech that lets him zip accross the entire level instantly, and his secondary skill is probably the most op skill in the game since it can shoot through terrain, has infinite pierce, auto targets enemies, and can be used to keep yourself in the air

If you use the alt dash for Pilot, jump then dash into the floor you get a frickton of momentum and you slide forward very far. If you time it right you can use jumps to keep the momentum and go further.
I can't seem to get this to work.
I noticed that he will slide a little bit after dashing if you don't press any movement input.
Is this timing really tight? Do you dash like right as he lands back on the ground after jumping?
Oh wait I think I figured it out, I just had it backwards. You dash, and jump immediately after dashing without inputing any movement. It's the same tech as Commando's slide in ror2

you get different degrees of acceleration depending on how late you do the initial jump input

huntress and sniper are my favs outside of merc and I play a lot of merc. Being good at sniper feels like and actual art kiting enemies with his backflip and huntress has the insane mobility that merc has (her auto aim while shooting has dogshit tracking tho)

Hotpoo strikes again.
I honestly was expecting RoRR to be a lot more than just 6 map layouts for each locales, a couple new enemies in the pool, skins, trials, and items adapted from 2/Starstorm. The extra phase with Providence was a pleasant surprise though. I hoped that there were actual new stages and paths to end the run like how Binding of Isaac's content evolved into. Now that I think about it, Starstorm similarly had the nega versions of the characters that BoI did in the form of Nemesis characters which added another layer of depth to work towards in unlocking shit.
They'll probably add more content later on. Remember, loader and chef weren't in the base game either, they came later as part of a free patch.
Also, 6 layouts feels like a ton in comparison to risky 2.

The way they were talking about Returns before release definitely made it seem like there was gonna be something more to it they just hadn't revealed yet but it was pretty much just the new phase and Robomando. Definitely a little disappointing in that regard but mods and the inevitable expansion will make the game worth it in the end.

Currently have an old modpack I'm fixing up/adding more onto. Just downloaded ClassicItemsReturns and am wondering if anymore item mods exist that aren't terribly balanced. Any recommendations?
Also disabled these items from ClassicItemsReturns

The other items look fine, but if anybody has more experience with them I might as well ask.
Shackles is nice because it doublestacks on top of RiskyMod chronobauble, Enforcer gas, and other attack speed slow effects.
Bitter Root is just a better Monster Tooth, though the others listed are definitely forgettable.
Alrighty, I'll probably re-enable Shackles and Mysterious Vial. Bitter Root can stay disabled since Monster Tooth is the same and is already pretty good if you actually go for the green orb + I think RiskyMod makes the range bigger for them so its not annoying. Thanks fellas.
Two more questions though, I saw in the main 16 man host he has a VariantPack mod, but I didn't see any spawn in the hosts game or they just died too quickly. Are most of them disabled? Hosts mod list is also very VERY chaotic and am wondering if this would be a bad mod to add since I'm more going for Vanilla+ feel, however some of what I see looks fun like the Flamethrower Lemurian and the Dream Scavenger.
Most people dont run variants anymore because it relies on MSU, along with 90% of the variants just being bloat (though the remaining 10% are cool-ish)

Wolfo mods have a tendency to error spam and have incompatibilities.
I recall R-MOR also had some error spam issue and MP desync.
The Shrines from MoreShrines were kind of buggy/unbalanced (Heretic Shrine would give the wrong items, Imp Shrine would drop guaranteed reds if you instakilled them with the Cube)
Only Frenzied is good from MoreElites, all the others are kind of scuffed. Maybe Warbanner elites are ok but their bubble spam is ugly.

also as far as the more elites go i only had the ror1/cut elites enabled. banner ones were disabled.

For MoreShrines, it's just vague memories of old hosts running it a year or two ago. I'd be down to try playing with it to see if it works fine.
In MoreElites, definitely keep Volatile off. Saw them in a recent 16man and it was just tons of almost undodgeable missile spam, not very fun to fight.
I don't know what Wolfo mods are specifically incompatible with, just that old hosts had trouble with them. I guess just do a run and check your console occasionally to see if it's spitting out any big ugly nullref error blocks (single red lines are fine), and if it's not then it should be ok.

If you don't have all items unlocked for max rng, you're not really playing risky.

Enemies aren't inheriting items, just generating. The only items enemies can have with my setup (currently anyway) are everything they need to function like the Umbra item that adds health and makes the world purple, and:

They shouldn't fix wavedashing, it's cool.
I'm not sure what can break anything by going out of bounds but I do know a spot that you can go out of bounds on the final map.
I once had just enough move speed with Pilot to dash through a wall in frozen tundra but couldn't get out at all without clinging to the inner wall at the same move speed so had to finish that run early. If you can consistently go in and out it's great, if not it's a restart.
Supposedly they already learned about it during development and left it in intentionally, I'm not expecting it to get patched out entirely but a nerf could definitely happen.

Makes sense, in 2 you have plenty of ways to deal with shitty RNG thanks to scrappers, printers and the shop. In 1/Returns you just have to bite the bullet when you get something shitty (which will happen often due to 80% of the item pool being shit) and hope you get something better before you get hit with a random blighted horde on stage 4.
Yet the items in Returns are more balanced in comparison

Any mods that change some of the RoR2 bosses to be more threatening? I've tried Augmented Bosses, but while some of the ideas are good some are absolutely moronic. Some wonderful examples include:
Stone Titan

Providovi was responsible for Blighted enemies in Risk of Rain, that's why they're absent in 2. But Umbral characters are very clearly Blighted by another name, and the name "Vengeance" seems to imply Providence is enacting it from beyond the realm of life. Thoughts? Am I moronic?

It gives you all these tools to adjust your experience because it's all kind of thrown haphazardly together

To me default primary feels easier to use. Alt primary isn't much better against flyers (i actually find it worse against birds / evolved lemurians).

without attackspeed it felt like a chore to even get to supercritical, weakened him even further, now that attack speed makes it worse I'll just stay away from that combo.
also I think the flaregun burst explosion is a little too spread out, and the flamethrower should have a small lingering flame trail a la killing floor firebug for a very short time, maybe supercritical would make it longer and do more damage.
I don't think it too bad so far but I haven't progressed enough to tell if it's a problem or not

providence's fight is certainly not balanced for this stage. i've had this happen to me at least thrice, and at least twice i got cornered by a laser and died instantly (literally instantly, that shit pierces everything) to the skull projectile.

Just grit your teeth and pass through the vertical laser to the other side of the platform.
You were supposed to not let him spawn his beams like that.
He has a set attack pattern and spawns those huge beams about each 1/4 HP lost. (you can skip beams if deal damage fast enough). He doesn't seem to spawn a new beam as long as his previous beam is still active. He spawns 2 instead of 1 at around 25% HP. His 6-way spinning beam attack he only does after he finishes his attack chain and does his resting animation (the one he starts the last phase with)
Even knowing only that beams spawn at HP thresholds and 6-way occurs after the rest animation, you can easily control where he spawns all his shit. Basically just stick closer to arena's sides when provi's HP is close to a threshhold (preferably on the upper level) and make sure provi himself is close to arena's side between you and a wall when he's finishing his attack chain.

Have the devs ever mentioned toning down the damage that blighted enemies do? Most of my lost runs are to a blighted enemy suddenly appearing on top of me and one-shotting me out of nowhere. Very annoying. Blighted hordes of many can outright kill runs if you're unlucky.

Dunno if y'all ever plan to add Sandswept to the RoR 2 pack, but after some testing here are my thoughts after playing it about to stage 14 with the usual pack on multiplayer:

Ranger's animations are about 5/10, some are serviceable, some feel stiff from her not lifting her knees enough or swaying her shoulders enough when moving or shooting
>Items are pretty cool with neat variety, and a very simple, but effective equipment
It does seem like animations are still in progress and damage was nerfed a tad, but she's absolutely disgusting with about 1 or 2 greens like Bandolier, and a void item or two, just unstoppable.

Does anyone have any tips for Mercenary in ROR2? I know about all the cancels and tech and everything. I don't know If I'm just not utilizing them right but he is zero fun to play as and I die all the time. I don't have the same issue with any of the other survivors. Trying to get this mastery skin has felt like like pulling teeth.
If I remember correctly you need to prioritize getting as many exposure procs off as possible. For instance you can time your third swing with one of your dashes and that swing will carry forward with the dash for a bit causing multiple enemies to get exposure.
You also don't want to prioritize attack speed until you have decent items. Having some is fine just don't spam a syringe printer. Reason is this can frick up your combos and timings which would be fine if you had more defensive items first. Don't be afraid to just eviscerate and dash out if fighting Elder Lemurians, those things will end you.
Also get the corrupted version of ukulele ASAP. Everythings going to be near you anyways because melee so you might as well play into his good single target damage.
There really isn't much to it, he doesn't do much damage until he has some proc and attack speed items but he has crazy good survivability and mobility, so just use his broken iframes to safely win fights and scout the whole map for items so you can get your damage up. Attack speed especially is broken on him no matter what, spam it as much as reasonably possible.

the healing zone spawns under every dead enemy ever which essentially means the entire ground heals you after a few stages. you don't have to stand still.
Is there a mod for ror2 that makes the final boss suck less?
Artifact of the king or Umbral mithrix. Both are more difficult while not being bullshit tier. I'd recommend king since its more vanilla.
Umbral also breaks a lot if using latest version. I couldn't for the life of me get the phase to work where you have to kill the balls linking to Mithrix. They always die instantly, but the next phase never starts so you get soft-locked.

Bilghted are an elite type. They're super tanky, deal tons of damage, and can spawn as another elite type in addition to being blighted.
So you can get a blighted frenzy gay that will tp to you.
Sometimes they'll even get to double up and be blighted frenzy burBlack folk that telefrag you without even attacking.
Those are nothing, it's when they are overloading when you are fricked. They hurt just being on your screen
Worst part about these frickers is online and the fact that you don't see em if they aren't moving too.

Is infusion balanced on glass on RoRR since they only give 1/5th max hp and dont activate on others kills?
It's a lot more balanced now yeah, it's not an instant win anymore and its effect only starts to become really significant later in the run, but you actually need to play well and get other good items to get to that point.

Yes to both. Attack speed affects the reload minigame and the speed at which the charge bar fills up. I wouldn't call it a liability, it is just a matter of getting used to it gradually as your aspd increases.
Quickscope is less max damage but you can focus down on the boss specifically through the crowd more easily
but if your gameplan is to just max-charge shots into crowds then dont use it

While Ganker is a complete unusuable piece of shit trash board due to latest GTA gayops, I uploaded a update to turbo edition

While I said that this new mod would disable the unstable / unfinished content from turbo edition to make hosting easier, I couldn't be bothered to write code to disable it, so I just disabled such content in the mod itself. So for now TurboEditionX just adds wacky dance support to grenadier.
This latest turbo edition update fixes the dreadful worms bug, which is why I got it out as early as now. Worms artifact's behavior also got changed so hopefully it should be more fun to play with it

You want the timestop green item if possible, as turrets will work with it and as soon as one turret gets destroyed, you can just replace it to "refresh" the item CD, it's literally free damage and even if your turret gets one tapped, it still triggers
Get an amethyst so you can bypass the ungodly cooldowns on your turrets. If you have Timekeeper's Secret then you basically won the game because you can just pop your amethyst and drop a mew turret every time one of them dies whilw giving you ample opportunity to DPS and recharge tour amethyst because of the constant Timekeeper procs.
I haven't played with his alt turret, but I susoect that anything survivability-based that can keep ot alive while it's rapidly self-damaging would be great on it. Hermit scarves, prophet's cape, Dio's Fren, maybe some lifesteal too.
alt turret also works very well with stacked timekeepers for obvious reasons (you might want to turn down sfx volume if you do however)
Does Prestige Shrines take space away from the chests/chance shrine pool ? Just started doing some prestige runs and it definitely feels that way
Interactive items all use the same system for determining how many get placed in the stage, it also scales with player count which is why wipes by x3 mountain shrine on level 1 are a thing in multiplayer but not so often solo. That includes all shrines, chests, drones, and barrels. Some artifacts manipulate it, but the teleporters (both the exit and where you spawn) are the only guarantees

Am I actually insane, or are the stages way too big now? 1x zoom is definitely ideal for getting items and the TP but you can barely see during fights. 2x is better but you just can't see anything now.
