I don't even know what drone recycling is let alone how to do it
Stations that look like blue woodchippers recycle drones into item. Just buy a bunch of drones or use the drone repair kit and recycle them all when you find a blue woodchipper
For the record, the most common places I've found them is in the Temple area, and also less frequently in the underwater area, though it's unlikely you'll have the drones for it unless you pick up a drone repair kit and recycle the drone you get for using it.
....Actually, this also makes me wonder: can you recycle the drones you call with the Backup even though they're temporary?
You can recycle equipment drones, and I've heard people say it counts for the unlock
But recycling them doesn't give an item, because obviously that would be OP. Just spits out nothing.

They do, yeah, but it's pretty rare. Happens once every 3 or 4 runs for me.
I've had Providence drop keycards before lol
It's rare but it happens. I don't think I've even seen 4 cards actually spawn on the stage itself, I got the unlock with the final card dropping from an enemy.
It's how you get three of them, usually from the door opening waves.
They keycards you get in challenges count towards your total for that unlock.

How do you play Mercenary? I gotta win on Monsoon but I can't even manage on Rainstorm. His ultimate is good but he's so squishy and puts himself in so much danger without having Miner's insane iframes.

early game you can just mash, in the late game where you're swarmed by birds you have to be more careful, prophets cape helps
they took that out in returns for some reason. The spinny circle can be used as another jump but I'm pretty sure in the og merc just straight up had an extra jump by default.

I can't find anywhere in game how temporary items work. How long is "temporary"? A stage, a minute?

oh zamn I mustve missed it. hard to see the text for a lot of things at 1x. is the timer on the item itself on the bottom of the screen? is it per item? how long is it?
It's a circle that empties out over the item icon, lose one from the stack each time it empties. No idea how long it is didn't bother timing it, long enough with 5 or even the 10 you sometimes get.

Overloading are noticeably more tolerable, but birds are still ass.

You're fricking moronic. Artifact of Origin requires you to beat Providence with all 9 original artifacts enabled. Lurk until you know what you're talking about.

Unlocking the artifact is piss easy. The artifact itself doesn't make the game hard either. I never understood the original question.

I'm gonna assume you're asking in a roundabout way how to do it. It's extremely easy, but time-consuming.
First, pick a character that has ranged attacks if you don't want to suffer instakills from overloading enemies. Then, keep restarting until you get a 1st stage with lemurians or jellyfish or other enemies that are both easy and plentiful. Then just keep fighting them until they drop enough greens for you to get 8 clovers so you can get even more items, and then get whatever movement and attack speed upgrades you want before activating the tele. You can take as much time as you want on the first stage even on monsoon. Then you just breeze into the final stage and annihilate providence.

Just what the frick you do when mobs destroy your turrets as engineer? the cooldown is too much and most of my itens are HP and Damage related. I cannot loop because of the fricking overloading worm b***h.
kite, homie. get yourself mobility items because you have no mobility skills
you can't hide on ropes anymore since a bunch of enemies climb them now but you either frontload your guns with mines to delete big threats you're preparing for or you space out their uses so you always have one ready in a pinch

Feathers let you jump. Rusted jetpacks increase your jump height. Red whips, goat hooves and mochas increase your horizontal speed and the rollerskates do the same after tele has been activated. There are plenty of items and you should prioritize them over everything else whenever they're available in multishops.
hourglass is busted on engineer, even deadmans foot is good because it does a frickton of damage.
but overall just don't drop both of your turrets in the same spot, spread them out and try to always keep 1 in case you need a quick decoy
