I can confirm that RTA-chan is playable off the bat in Tokoyo, and the game window can be resized on the fly, this is very rare in a Unity game.

I've played it for about 50 minutes and it's okay. Jumping feels responsive but I'm not a fan that your only method of attacking enemies is a wide-hitting skill that lasts 10~20 seconds and then has to recharge for anywhere between 15 to 5 seconds. All the music and SFX is chiptune, sometimes being far too loud like in the cafe/bar you visit between tower sections. It doesn't feel very compelling to play so I'll probably get a refund, but it be your sort of thing if you want to have a go.

Like it was less than halfway in a normal full playthrough but the higher dungeon length later in the game doesn't amount to much if you aren't fighting trash and there's a bunch of late game stuff that's optional so it doesn't take egregiously sequence breaking the game to get there. That said wrapping this up in 30 minutes still seems like something.

It's a menu based game. He's memorized the menu selection positions for each different screen, sound effects indicating if something was succesful, the various scenes etc. That said, people play action games blindfolded as well.

Same reason they often timer stop after lengthy credits sequences: because that's just what they do lol
That also annoys me. Like the time attack for Kirby's Dream Course doesn't stop the timer until the little star gets drawing out "The End" and disappears.
Personally, I think the western speedrunning community does it better, with something more consistent. Have the timer start when the game begins proper (like after creating your name in a Zelda game and then selecting the file, or if a game has character creation, starting immediately after that) and then ending on the last meaningful input a player has in a game (sword attack finishing off the final boss and custscene death begins, or the moment of jumping through the final goal). It actually feels more standardized and sensible.
A console is a standardized system, so it shouldn't affect times (disregarding various revisions for many systems). For them I guess the game starts the immediate you power your console, since the game is already runnning by then.
