The conflict between Killian and Gizmo is comically one-dimensional and stupid, Shady Sands is barren and uneventful, is also filled with generic NPCs, Vault 15 is a terrible dungeon, Thieves' Guild is just as comical as the stuff FO2 adds to the game etc. There are a lot of problems that can be raised against FO1, I love it but it's nowhere near as perfect as some of you wienersuckers claim it to be.

One of my specific things is the anti-feral juice that ghouls now need to take, which were never a thing in any of the games. Fallout 4 was stupid in making them not need to eat and drink, and had the introduction of the chem to make someone a ghoul (also stupid), but they never went as far anti-feral juice.
The House thing fricks me off too, though. The moving of Shady Sands fricks me off, since it has a knock on effect in getting rid of the Boneyard and the universities, and potentially the Followers of the Apocalypse, and Caesar and thus the Legion, etc etc.
On a purely grossing me out level, the scene where the freshly birthed gulpers eat the mother and she seems to be getting off on it made my skin crawl. I'm not usually squeamish but that was clearly someone's inserted fetish.

Avellone should do a Fallout Q&A if he wants to further cement his place as loremaster. Someone should ask him if, in the Legion ending, Caesar eventually adopts the Courier to be his successor ala the real Caesar and Octavian/Augustus. The fact he has a coin minted with your face suggests this, since that's one of the historical functions of Roman currency: to familiarize the public with the face of their new emperor.
