People thought that about literally every Saints Row game before they came out and every one except 2 afterwards. They were still all fun.
They're way too smug and hostile to their fanbase despite their last few games being huge bombs.
The wingsuit is stupid and flying was the worst part of 4 since it made cars irrelevant. Also the fricking desert setting is boring as shit, fricking Steelport was better. At least it had a good vibe and the penthouse was a cool albeit not creative base.
But it's still basically Saints Row and even though they went in too hard on zoomer-baiting with the aesthetic and not keeping it gangster, it'll still be fun to play.
Steelport always sucked as a city and a map to explore. It had no identity and nothing to find.
