4 is better in the way that its silly - knows it - and sticks with it. Unlike 3 which was never sure if it wanted to be le wacky zombie apocalypse tank buster or a serious gangster drama. Saints Row 2 is if you have both and balance them right - The Third is what happens if you got both and balance them poorly.
My biggest problem with 4 is the re-use of assets and cars being useless 5 minutes into the game. Storywise its better than 3 but still weak compared to 1 or 2.

I played saints row 3 recently. That game sucks ass and I don't hold any hope that 4 is better or that this reboot will be anything but mediocre.

Lets be honest.. Saints Row was never good
Only SR 2 was the peak, but it was only because it released just at the time of GTA IV, which turned to be a more "serious"(aka boring) version of the saga, so we were missing all the wackiness of older games but SR filled that demand.
Maybe single player but overall saints row 1 was the most popular and the best due to the online mode

Imo biggest issue if i would buy it how unresponsive and bullet spongy enemies are. No gore, no decent blood spatter, barely any ragdoll and have that annoying health bar like cheap mmo on top

A man of taste with the time of day function in SR4 I see. I wish Volition had made a Hulk Ultimate Destruction ripp off/sequel with their now indie dev's Geo-Mod work. They had the traversal feel in SR4 just right too.
