Bad, and bad sound lag, too. Get the MAME roms or Arcade Archive versions instead. Granted, there's no other option but MSA for 6, but 6 sucks anyway.
I wouldn't buy it, but just because it would be tied to a psn acc.
Run ahead works with the fbneo core on retroarch
1-5 and x are emulated anyway and 6 can be played on a Dreamcast emulator.
Just use Final Burn Neo + RetroArch.
Also, make sure you're not getting the censored version with "sweat" instead of blood.

That also has input lag. Noticeable when compared to the arcade versions.
regardless of input lag, the options the alternative offers makes that version not worth it

I have the PS2 version and it's great. Felt arcade perfect and accurate when I played using the retail disc in my PS2 slim. I do not own but played the ever loving shit out of the Wii version and it's good, although there are spots of minor slowdown. Still worth the play with a friend. No idea about the PSP version but I plan on buying it soon so I might make a Metal Slug thread and post my thoughts and opinion on it at some point in the future.
Really? I played both the arcades and the PS2 version. There is a noticeable lag in the console ports.
I've spent a lot of time playing both arcade cabs and the PS2 versions and I would say that it's almost perfect. 98.5% identical at worst. Wii version is slightly lower.

If I made the claim that it was a 1:1 copy of the arcade games there would be at least one person who had to be a contrarian and point out some flaw unnoticeable to the human senses. If someone were to take a PS2 and pop it in a Metal Slug cab with an identical controller it would be impossible to tell the difference between the PS2 cab and the original. Is that better?

I've got a literal cabinet in my house and compared it to my PS2 anthology and noticed no perceivable difference.
