Played the fan translation a ways back. He’ll always be Debeste to me, and I’m glad Investigations 2 has a global release now. New sprites look nice too.
Still consider Investigations 1 just okay. Been awhile since I played it so the new art should give some extra motivation to get through it again before 2. Now that GAA is out as well I have similar feelings about them where I found the second game much better than the first but for different reasons.
What would you rename him based off the Japanese name if you had to choose something other than Sebastian Debeste and Eustace Winner? I'm having a hard time coming up with anything that fits well

Magnus is Latin for "Great". It's kind of an antiquated name only weirdos give their sons but I think it works for someone as old as him.
It also hit me a couple hours later that you could corrupt it into Magnum Weiner.
