The main SEQUEL games are decently lengthy. You could easily spend 3 or 4 hours a day playing and it'd take like a week or more. Asylum and L. Depth are a good bit shorter.

Nah. Kludge is a great game. It's not perfect, sure, but I enjoyed as much as all the other games.
It's worse than colony though, that's for sure. But colony is hard to top anyway.

I played the first one on Easy because I was just looking for a quick fap, and got filtered by many bosses because I had conditioned myself to never touch the job swap mechanic.
In the end I got so absorbed in the characters and writing that I beat the game and didn't even fap, and now I regret soiling the experience.
I'm going to play it again on Normal and hopefully enjoy it a lot more. Any tips? I'm expecting a real challenge.

Blight has some interesting things going for it, but they aren't for everyone. For example, if you don't like mixing and matching a wide variety of class skills (exacerbated by the fact you don't have easy access to all skill trees and have to tediously keep class swapping unless you install that one QoL mod for the game) to make your characters just the way you want them, you're going to not like Blight's class system, which is by far one of its most interesting features.

Does this game require farming?
It's a JRPG series. It's not especially grindy though, there are no random encounters but if you just kill everything you see, you'll be fine. You can also make the first game a lot easier by mixing classes later on.
The postgame always trivializes leveling too since there are chickens you can kill for loads of levels. It makes getting to 99 a joke.

I had to quit the game because I couldn't figure out where to go on the snow level.
I don't suppose this will help you, there's an entire playthrough of blight on Youtube.
For the snow area, I do remember you go north of the entrance to it (if you go east, you get to a snow village), and then you'll find a transfer sword to the north. From there, you just explore east of the transfer sword and you'll find your way. The video walkthrough should show that.

Also that blight walkthrough doesn't cover the postgame at all, which is a huge portion of the game. Honestly though, the games aren't that cryptic or require a walkthrough at all, and if you do have a question, there's always the /vrpg/ thread that you can ask questions in.
I lied, blight has some cryptic things for 100% like getting Rabi's panties or that one succubus scene, but they're all listed in the sequel bin anyway. That counts as a guide of sorts.

I know it's probably moronic to complain about balance and gameplay in an h-game but why the absolute frick are MP restoration items so rare and obscenely expensive? Fricking revive items are cheaper and common which is pretty backwards.

Alchemy. You get the Alchemist class fairly early and can start synthesizing all sorts of consumables, including SP restores of course.
The very first point in Alchemist gives all the crafts (as long as you have the recipes, there's 3 Alchemy Recipe key items to find), although you'll also want Long Vigil which is like 14 total points into Alchemist, cause it lets you basically reset a given resource spawn 3 times per character that has it, so you don't have to go sleep in a bed (or touch a Transfer Sword if you have the QoL mod) to respawn them.
I just stacked engineer's passive regeneration with queen's i think, it's been a while but i don't remember needing many items because of that.
I wish I knew about those Mechanic fields when I first played the game. Mechanic is absolutely busted since you can just grab the skills and then switch back to your main class.
They worked really well with my assassin Tirma, literally free mana for everyone at the beginning of each fight
It's just to incentivize you to use SP regen skills instead of relying on items. Really though, they've never been totally expensive, and they're 10x cheaper in Asylum and kludge. In blight they're actually pretty cheap since you're meant to sell mana from enemies to get most of your money.
Plus you can outright craft them for free with Alchemist's Alchemy.

The entire series is a sequel to a set of older RPGMaker games called the Era of Myth.
SEQUEL itself is a double meaning term in the title, where it can also mean "After the (event)." In this case, SEQUEL Blight would literally be "After the Blight." The "side" games, Asylum and L. Depth aren't directly tied to any major event, hence why they lack the SEQUEL title.

It's actually pretty well written for an h-game is the thing. Then again though, I'm used to Western porn games where the plots tend to be as deep as pornos about electricians coming over to fix a chick's refrigerator.
A lot of the characters are memorable or lovable. Say what you will about the gameplay being bog standard, but the character interactions are what makes the series. The CGs are just the cherry on top.

Asylum took me 20 hours to beat the main story. It was just way too big for me to handle, I got lost all the time. The worst part was finding the ice region, since there was no event pointing out that it existed.
