Not him but I do too. I basically just prefer the city environment. It just fits with electricity powers. I'm not american so maybe that factors into it but I'm not particularly interested in having a super power fantasy in like a shitty swampy florida or whatever coastal town
did you prefer the city in 1 or Second Son? because by that metric and in my own opinion Seattle is a much more realised version with actual architecture, planning and feels much less cramped if only due to advancement in tech.
I think i wouldve liked Second Son just as much if it was still just a Cole-like with exclusively Electric powers just because of the environment

Just now after I wrote that post I realized Seattle in Second Son was a perfect marriage of what they were trying to do with the environment in the first 2 games. So yeah I agree. I didn't mind the different powers I just wish there was more depth and sandbox elements to them instead of a generic action game like it's predecessors. It was time to do something new and autistic. I would probably play Second Son once in a blue moon if it was on PC, just like I plan to do when Spiderman 2 gets ported next year, hopefully. Sometimes I get that superpower open world traversal itch.

The Neon power would have turned those games into pretty much the #1 speedster experience available if you could go faster and had some time distortion or something. As it stands Warframe is still the best game to larp as the Flash
Second Son kind of frustrates me, because while I still enjoy it and think it does some things better than inFamous 1 (mostly down to me giving a shit about Delsin as a character over Cole); the drastically lowered challenge, less oppressive atmosphere and the powers just being less fun to use than Cole's general repertoire really disappointed me. I still think it's a fine enough game, but I completely understand why it doesn't get talked about much.
I can understand disliking 2 just because of the beast crap
other than the fact that the enemy spawns in 1 were specifically made for cole's kit but in 2 coles kit changes so much the developers even stated they had trouble building encounters that weren't just "lots of enemies in an area"
infamous 2 is still good and I even like second son. but personally the atmosphere of the first game was a lot more interesting to me. it felt much darker. I liked the melee better too. punch felt good
Better in every way except the atmosphere and story. The NYC atmosphere suited the game better than the bayou, new orleans setting.
Why is emulation unable to run these games at more than 13fps? What in particular makes infamous so demanding? Also, why do they refuse to port them normally? Give them to me

Really one of the first signs Naughty Dog was going to shit was when when of the team personally got booty blasted over RPG team death matches and had it removed from the game because "it just wasnt fun" and ND absolutely refused to permanently add it back to the game, only rotate it in on some weekends during a holiday.

The enemies were changed to just rednecks instead of 3 factions. Better gameplay.
I had fun with infamous 2 and the endings are kino but my biggest takeaway after playing was how unfinished and buggy the game was by the end. In the last few hours I was getting lag and glitches out the ass and all the areas were just empty and boring
