      >Nintendo is gonna shelve their third or fourth biggest franchise depending on how you break up Mario that literally sells consoles by itself

I think Shantae, Alucard, Geno and Waluigi are the four most likely characters next time
    >Wayforward lobbying hard, Shantae decently popular in Smash and in general
    >Alucard got a Palutena cameo just like Chrom
    >Waluigi and Geno are the last two major Internet fan picks
    >Waluigi also 1st party and who the frick else is even left from Mario they could add at this point

Alucard, Guile and Knuckles are almost guranteed i'd say. Their Assist Trophies are just too well made.

Waluigi is guaranteed unless we're going through the Geno shit again. Same for Geno, I wouldn't say either are guaranteed.

sorry bro, Geno and Waluigi have been displaced by Doomguy and Crash as major fan picks

I actually don't care all that much about who's in the next Smash
If Banjo returns I'll be happy and if he doesn't I'll still play Ultimate forever

we have enough fan ballot data that has Sora at the top to use as a decent mock up of results for the real thing

I still find it hilarious that top picks like Dante, shantae and Lloyd got the same treatment as sans undertale

I've literally never seen anyone talk about her in over a year, hell people barely talked about her when her new game was coming out and suddenly when people start talking about smash again people come out of nowhere claiming she's totally super popular still? The costume is all you're getting. By the time there's any rumblings of a new smash, all the people who were clamoring for her from the ballot days will have 100% died out, even now the few people who still wish she was a real character are basically nonexistent.

because she's cheaper to license not because they intend to make her a character

All of Shantae's games are mediocre at best, the only people who care about her are incel coomers.
