No, the chain attack Order. Like when the round starts and you can pick Noah's "60% chance to bypass defense" or Taion's "lowers physical defense by 30%". You need to do an order for each member of the pair for their ouroboros order to appear. So it will take at least 2 rounds.

The best way to do is pick 2 Ouroboros you want to use. Ex Noah then Sena. Then 3rd round you can pick Mio or Lanz to get Ouboros round. Also hero before 3rd round. This way you will get 5 round total. 3 members, hero and Ouboros. If you use Fiona then you can get 6 round. Her order is refill 1 round of chain guage.
You have to use Sena and Lanz as the leaders of two attack orders (so use Lanz's "Attack up and aggro up on Defenders" and Sena's "attacks have a chance to bypass guard" orders)

No, it’s literally the exact same system. You respawn at the last landmark you were at. This game has less landmarks compared to 2, and since the areas are larger than 1 you feel the size difference due to the increased walking distance. Unique monster tombstones will not count as a landmark even though you can fast travel to them.

Speaking of chain attacks, what are some ways of getting to really high bonus damage percentages? The highest I’ve managed to get is around 750% and the highest total damage just above 3mil. I’ve gotten the best results with Segiri, Miyabi/Mio combo, and Melia
Power Charge is absolutely broken in chain attacks, Ashera's chain order gives everyone Power Charge so if you have someone using Fiona's class all you need to do is to share the buff again after your attackers have had their turn

So when leveling colonies, are new quests tied to chapter progression, your level, or just having the right number of stars? I got colony 9 stuck at 3 stars and quite a bit of exp to go but I don’t know if I’m supposed to just repeat collectapedia entries, progress the story, level up or level other colonies to get more new dialogue and side quests?
Usually chapter progression and/or which colonies you have unlocked. So some Colony 30 quests are tied to Iota, some to Lambda, Tau, etc.
Is level 5vgated behind specific quests or something? I have a few colonies that show a full bar at level 4 but they won’t turn over into level 5, even if I spam collectopedia cards for them
I heard that whenever the game acts buggy and seems to get stuck with quests, the solution might be closing the game program and restarting. Apparently if you leave the game running too long in sleep mode for instance, it can lead to data errors like that.
I make sure to close my game every couple days or so ever since Xeno 2 crashed and lost me 5 hours progress after I left it up for two weeks.

Either way, the world is set up by design from Z to filter out the giga-chads from the system through the Homecoming so they don't just dominate the perpetual war game forever. Considering how powerful any of the general cast from both Xenoblade 1 and 2 are it can be very easy to believe that even if their clones were made to fight initially they likely would had hit homecoming very easily and this get removed from the system, which would be why you wouldn't see a test-tube Rex or Shulk anywhere.

The game definitely blew its load in chapter 5, and 6 feels like its not even there, but 7 is not that bad.

i didnt pick it once and next turn it was gone, either gone for good or was tossed back into the pool. after that id just try my best to use the other one in the pair at the very end of chain attack to trigger ouroboros from there. youll get an extra free turn for ouroboros trigger so its the most efficient method

Yes you lose it. The correct way of Chain Attacks is to the 4th Chain with the Interlink member, that will give you the Ouroboros order even if your chain gauge is empty.

It really does suck, you're not imagining anything
Yes. It even has bad synergy with its own unique buff circle since you want to spam arts in it, but Stalker arts are all way too long and you attack so slow your arts never fill up.
Do not listen to these people who are telling you stalker is absolute shit. It is not.
The stalker is all about doing single hit high burst damage with land slide and rapid shot while never pulling aggro.
It does this by applying a bleed to the enemy which will then boost your damage.
Combine Rapid shot + Ether cannon. Landslide with power charge. Bleed skill with some aggro reduction like shadow eye.
Use bleed skill until debuff is applied, use landslide and rapid shot until your fusion arts are not on cooldown,
The big combo is:
Power Charge + Landslide to set up the buff and do decent damage assuming you have bleed on
Ether Cannon + Rapid shot will do a huge amount of damage.
Shadow eye to reduce aggro if you ever pull. If you have a good tank build then you wont ever pull aggro despite the huge DPS you're doing.
To boost this further, equip the arts cancel gem, the crit dmg gem and the attack gem.
Equip skills and accessories that boost crit/damage,
Equip the accessory that boosts damage done to enemies with bleed.
Only issue is the skill animations are long and you have to control the class but its high DPS especially at that stage of the game
or you could just use literally any other dps class
Yes because stalker is just as good as any other dps class so you're free to pick what you want on preference and not on DPS tiers
