>LawCHADS are literal BVLLS
>Chaoscucks are special snowflake "opressed" minorities
lmao you can't make this shit up.
Yoko is based and only way of escaping the cycle
you don't escape anything the only choice is Toa
>NOOO YOU HAVE TO CHOOSE MY FAVOURITE PERSONA CHARACTER
I'm good, bro. I'd rather not.
but enough about Yoko
That's fair, even Persona is too mature for Tao. She's more like a Persona Q2 OC.
Funny because Tao actually develops unlike Yoko who just keeps her am 12 and i am deep personality throughout the entire game
>female character written like a man
>Ganker swoons
Every single time. You're all gay.
Don't care. I will marry her and give her puppies.
This is a dog.
Yes and?
STUPID DOG YOU MAKE ME LOOK BACK
>written like a man
She is written like a midwit knowitall smug b***h who thinks she is better than everyone else because a hot guy fricked her when she was 15
I work with this type every day, and they all talk like Yoko
>yeah i'm smart like that
sounds like a smug prostitute to me
She's written like an angsty teenager, which she is.
where can I download the switch version
Nintendo eShop
>Don't have friends
>Think knows how the world should be
Oh yes the anti social morons are really reliable
Why are those contradictory?
I never said they were contradictory though?
She's cute, but not as cute as my wife
Your wife's game SUCKS!
Why are the OST in VV so damn GOOD?
Even this smug ass e-girl birb has her own theme.
God she was already one of the sexiest demons but V made her even better. Vengeance clearly had some likeminded devs since she, Alice and Mermaid all got added as navigators. Alice I can understand because Atlus has always acknowledged her popularity but less so for the other two
MY FACE BELONGS IN THERE
Game is strangely dickypilled, you don't see this kind of shit in [CURRENT YEAR], I really like it
Yeah but image how fast turbo granny could jerk you off
I loved her quest, You gotta chase her map marker that goes really fast
There are some pretty fun quests this time.
Did anyone give that fish thing's bromhide to the president? Does he get funny dialogue? I fricking saved over my save file and cant dind out. I just gave it to the dude on the roof. The demon dialogue is the best part about this game.
The surge of MSGK in the past few years has been a bad influence on Alice...
They manage to add in a bunch of half naked woman in general in an era where this is haram to blue hair fattie working as a diversity officer in an american gaming branch.
The SNES games had nipples and bare breasts so... yeah. I mean it's a step in the right direction, because SMT mainline was always supposed to be suggestive and erotic.
FAILURE AS A HUMAN
from the game that have Kozuka as a composer, for me its
IV>VV>IV:A>V
I thought Yoko's route in Vengeance would have more to do with, you know, vengeance. I named myself Punished Bean because I was all about getting some revenge, but it doesn't factor in at all. Yoko's sort of mad that she got put in time out by a guy who's already dead and doesn't like rules or whatever. Yakumo and Nuwa's route in the original story felt a lot more visceral than that.
Her revenge is because of the old dead god. While Beano's revenge is aogami.
>I thought Yoko's route in Vengeance would have more to do with, you know, vengeance.
Yoko was a goddess before got kick out of heaven for being untrustworthy. That alone is a reason why most of the shit happens in VV.
>that konohana sakuya theme
?si=kuoG2Jrt7new66Zl
Is it strange to say that I was looking more forward to OST than the game itself.
I don't get why games like SMT V never get nominated for best soundtracks
I'll tell you why then. It's basically,
>SMT and Megaten are niche. Persona 4 & 5 have lots of Persona 4 & 5 fans, but that doesn't translate to franchise wide fans at all
>it's a Japanese game that isn't popular and leftists (who typically run these sorts of things and gaming "journalism") hate asians for some reason
>these award ceremonies are all rigged so the games featured will either be very popular games or games that paid for a spot
>for some reason
Because they are """minorities"""" who don't need their protection and it makes them mad.
Sorry, I wasn't actually questioning it. I know. I just wanted to answer the question as simply as possible and with as little politics as possible.
>hate asians for some reason
They got persecuted, banned, and treated worst than black slave, but still manage to make a thriving community in the USA. They are the most successful minority that suffer a lot. This conflict with those leftist agenda
rock soundtracks are never nominated
unless they're buttrock numetal trash like doom
SMTV and Vengeance are not mainstream games, which immediately disqualifies them from the running. In addition, their OSTs are too abrasive and experimental for normalgays. It's not a P5 situation where "acid jazz" just means easy listening keyboard jams with engrish. These two OSTs have a quite eclectic sound that is not entirely uniform that translates the "stranger in a strange land" theme of SMT very well. Which is a mixture of delay lama samples, industrial noise rock, thrash metal, dark ambient soundscapes, etc. You'll notice that even the Japanese MegaTen fans aren't keen on Kozuka's style, which is a shame because it is incredibly unique and fits the games much more than Meguro ever did.
tl;dr - You're basically asking why your favorite indie group that has about 5 downloads on bandcamp isn't nominated for a Grammy.
This
is spot on. But in many ways it is just down to vocal tracks. Music in games is not judged on how effectively it works as a soundtrack, they want normal songs. SMTIV/V have incredibly effective soundtracks that create a memorable atmosphere without getting repetitive. So much of those games feel defined by the music. More importantly though, how am I meant to post machine crunchy noises in my epic twitterx maymay? Sometimes you get a B2 which just catches on but its way harder. Notably one of the few mainline songs to catch on is ONE MORE GOD REJECTED. A misheard lyric goes a long way. I could b***h about Persona here but GG Strive is the one that annoys me. Those songs are a poor fit for how a fighter works but very much appeal to people who want a bad j-rock single. This is not to say all vocal tracks are bad and have no place in a soundtrack. Its just rare to see OSTs judged by how they function in situ.
Something for you to consider: Context adds a lot of weight to the game. If you listen to a lot of the soundtracks outside of their intended purposes, they do sound legitimately mediocre. What elevates them to God tier is in fact their usage in the game to build atmosphere and make emotional moments more impactful. In fact, if you listen to an OST outside of the game, often times what makes you like it so much are your good memories of it, as opposed to the song's ability to stand on its own.
>If you listen to a lot of the soundtracks outside of their intended purposes, they do sound legitimately mediocre
I disagree and I think pre-launch proves it. There were tracks many were really hype for just from hearing a snippet of in the trailers, and when it started leaking everyone was going crazy. Primordial Goddess, Qadištu, Beelzebub, Bounce and Roll are fantastic in their own right. Being functional as a soundtrack comes first but its still good music that spans an impressive range of genres. You can accuse many video game composers of simply copying genres but Kozuka gets them. But you can easily shove Rivers in the Deserts in anyone's face and at worst they'll go that's a mediocre funk track.
Now a track that is raised by its context is alkalic acid rush. Not everyone can appreciate penis music without understanding where it coming from.
Why are the good heals all so stupidly expensive? Even Mediarahan costs 150 mp.
It's a very powerful spell after all. You should have healers with high affinity for healing skills anyways.
If you're using Mediarahan, you don't need Heal Pleroma or Bowl of Hygeia, so instead they make you take Great Mana Spring. Seems like a good balance to me.
they want you to use mediarama with bowl to get doping effect, you can charge your health up to 130% of maximum even past 999 cap and on superbosses raising your hp that much could help
>Even Mediarahan costs 150 mp.
rahan brings health to 100%, and media affects all.
If you got that one, you literally don't need healing help on that pokemon.
I want to take the throne and create a world where Tao doesn’t wear clothes.
>not taking the throne and make it purely for HMoDF to thrive
does gold mask doggo show up again his battle theme is too good to only get two encounters

Does she have a sidequest somewhere and I just missed it?
In Tokyo
There are bunch of quests in tokyo now.
You need to talk to an npc on tge map.
I feel like Yoko would be insufferable irl
like the type of b***h that reads ya novels and listens to frank ocean thinking she's above it all
>I feel like Yoko would be insufferable irl
Shes insufferable in game.
Why do you think she is a loner in the first place?
Can I skip the side stuff or is it important? There's just too much random shit dotted on the map and I hate playing games where I feel like I'm doing a checklist. I just want to do the story beats.
If its not vital to the story, sure. Some of the sidequest helps you change your alignment base on the choices you make. Some demons require certain quest to be done. Some are just shop exchange.
You should basically just bumrush through a new Da'at are, just making sure you fill out the map as much as possible, then buy the Miman locations and go back to grab them. You should do side quests and grab treasure too at that point. That way you're not just randomly running around in circles.
Thanks for the advice. I'm playing on normal anyway so I was pretty sure I wasn't going to really get fricked over with the game mechanics. Just don't wanna miss anything major. How do the +x on skills work?
For example if I have +3 on defense debuff skill, does that mean the debuff is just stronger? I thought it would count for multiple debuff casts but it does not.
affinities depends on the type of skills, if your skill affinity is positive
for offense skills more damage less mana cost
for ailment skills more infliction chance less mana cost
for healing spells more healing less mana
for support skills only less mana, positive or negative affinity has no impact on actual effect
you can't have affinity for passives
Ahhhhh okay makes sense. Thank you anon.
>google xci for this game
>find it right away
Based, not paying for this game again. Suck it atlus.
Why is Japan the only place that becomes the bastion for demon invasions and angels/demons fighting? Surely YHVH and Lucifer fight other places?
Because the people who make the game are Japanese. Also let's be real, I play video games so I don't have to deal with my globohomosexual shithole county. Post-apocalyptic Japan feels safer than riding the subway in America.
In the other games in the series it’s implied either the rest of the world got fricked up and over ran by demons when they came to earth or was blown up during all the chaos
>Why is Japan the only place that becomes the bastion for demon invasions and angels/demons fighting?
This is why Strange Journey is the best.
SJ protagonist is Japanese. They call him american in the localization for some reason.
Who the frick was talking about jap protags? He said the setting itself dummy anon. Also he's USMC unless you got nip runes to prove it and again not what we were even talking about.
Even if he's japanese in the jap version (which is fine, I think SMT doomguy should be localized to be from whatever your country is, it fits the themes of the game here), Strange Journey is still a game where the operation is explicitly international with people from all over the world being sent to deal with the problem.
I fricking WISH videogames had dubs with voiceactors as all the Canadians I grew up with.
Also correct me if I’m wrong but SMTV is the first time we’ve seen other countries communicate and work together through Bethel
Strange Journey
SMT 1 outright make you met up with Thorman of USA
the frick is up with that font
it's to indicate that he's speaking in broken japanese since he's a gaijin
>Thor disguises himself as Thorman
It will never not make me chuckle.
Louis Cypher is pretty funny too
Because in Japan is where:
>the devil summoning program was first unleashed
>a CEO managed to trigger God enough to end the world
>demons were first summoned, causing the Angels to attempt to nuke Tokyo, only to be saved by Masakado who created a bedrock dome over it
>Lucifer appeared along his Demi-fiend because he used to be a Japanese Teen
I got a dialogue line from Yoko in the Demon Haunt where she wondered what happened to other countries. Although she assumes it's all just a wasteland. But it's Yoko is pretty negative so I think they were implying that there may survivors out there besides Japan. Its a weird thing to add otherwise. Maybe some Mad Max shit is going on.
The real reason for the Tokyo focus and why Masakado is so important is because of something called israeli-Japanese Common Ancestry Theory which states the either the imperial family or all Japanese are descended from a lost tribe of Israel. Masakado rebelled against the imperial family, and thus the Hebrew god, which made him the perfect image of a flawed Neutral hero to Kazuma Kaneko. This theory is also the reason why Karuma Tengu wears a kippah and tefillin.
In my headcanon it's as simple as the DSP is written in Japanese so the rest of the world gets fricked up when they can't fight back.
>humanity was destroyed enitrely because Stephen was a hardcore weeaboo
This actually makes sense I'm going with it too
why does every monster or alien aleays attack new york? thats why
>side with leanan sidhe over apsaras
>yoko commends me for not helping those weak to defend themselves
>only did it because i remember apsaras being awful to use against Hydra
>side with apsaras
>apsaras abandon her weak followers
>Yoko and Qadistu sacrifices Beano
>Tao saves you and Aogami dies
>Dazai kills Yatsuta
>Streamer homosexual has a fit and say law reps are bad in smt
Why are streamers moronic? We had law and chaos gays that are taking extremes and ones that are more moderate. Are they gay for yatsuta or something? He didn't nothing in the base game and in the vengeance route. Yatsuta just died so we coud fuse with koshimizu. It's just to unlock a new form.
First of all
>streamer
second of all, he is probably just a bandwagon homosexual that only read the wiki or watch youtube of SMT and tries to act like he is a big fan of SMT. I wouldn't be surprise if he is a persona gay
They talk about Mastema being able to command demons for the entirety of the game, and in the demons haunt the demons point out how being able to command demons is a privilege of Nahobino. Wish there was more to Mastema fight because of it.
Anon, they decided to make Mastema control Tiamat so they could recycle the boss fight in Chaos.
I know. But Mastema as he is is just a normal angel fight. He feels weaker than Tiamat because of it. He needed something more to justify being after Tiamat.
It also happened in SJ, duh.
I mean that's the real reason but being able to use demons is part of the actual Mastema lore and not something Atlus made up. Could've been implemented better for sure though.
Mastema is good at manipulating and control, but not actual combat. His manipulating indirectly cause the death of 3 potential naho candidate and the removal of the Angelic leader so he can fill in the power vacuum. Then again, he isn't a normal (Arch)Angel since its heavily implied to be working with someone far greater than the Creator god or the Madela. He probably not from that universe.
I remember the day my only friend (im a big neet) got hit by a fricking car. But it made me heehoate women drivers.
Sexo
AH YEAH
>2 sacred treasures
Be sure to delete that one.
Otherwise they clog your inventory as useless rocks past the first 10minutes of the game.
Not him but on the ps4 I didn't download it and it showed up anyways. It was my only DLC too because I preordered it.
It seems playing this game in handed mode now is really good. Docked still is shit and the fan gets loud. I remember cutscenes bing in slow motion in the vanilla game. At least it's a lot better now.
It really doesn't matter if you pre order or not. They will give everyone the sacred treasures in the digital version.
But is she a waifu material? That's a million dollars question.
They both waifu material to different reasons
>Yoko is an Asocial edgy "goth" girl archetype that is blunt and direct, but has a sweet side that only you see

PALE RIDER IS SO FRICKING ANNOYING HOLY FRICK
>have to fight Odin and Zeus
>spent the last few days preparing for superbosses, demi-fiend, and godborn instead
I’m not even level 80. Pic is my Kaneko demon 3x3.
do smtv mods work for vengeance?
I don’t care how long it last this school bullying plotline shit shouldn’t be in an SMT game
lol
If is basically Persona before Persona was a thing and it’s even tied to the first two Persona games this isn’t the gotcha you think it is
So SMT was always Persona tier lol. But go ahead and keep on coping.
Pretty sure the original Novel the games are based on basically started as School Shooter Scenario but with Demons and bullying was involved and If did it perfectly fine too. It is way more SMT then people want to admit. V just fumbled the execution.
On the contrary, there should be significantly more school bullying and school shooter types.
>chaos rep is a bullied school shooter
So it’s like almost every old megaten game
This entire series is built on a twink getting bullied and summoning Loki to kill people. School shooters are iconic to SMT at this point.
Is she the only fatlus obligatory re-release Mary Sue that is successful?
Sumire was pretty inoffensive. Also the sexiest P5 girl so that helps a bunch.

Yoko, watch out!
I swear, half of the reason SMT 2 didn't get in the west is due to movie copyrights.
I played the original on Ryujinx, did they change enough to justify another playthrough?
I didn't exactly love the game but it was pretty fun
just arrived in the empyrean, anything special i got to do to unlock stan? I got my true neutral ending from base game
beat the game and load old save
They did a lot of stuff for VV
>story
They added an Vengeance storyline that is more coherent and not as shitty as base V story. It flow and connect everything together. It kind of suffer in the last 1/3 of the story, however. The Base story line still exist as a choice.
>character
They decided that you get two alignment rep and they have the most screen time. They join your team for a good chunk of the game, offering their magic and their comments about your choices via sidequest. The boys get sidelined but they grow more as a character in this storyline than base V.
>leveling scale
Removed
>Demons
Lots and lots of more demons to choose. Not only that, each demon has Innate Skill that is unique to their own that allow them to distinguish their playstyle and role.
>Performance
If for some reason you want to play on the Switch, its better. In any other system, it work fantastically due to the optimization that Altus is force to do to make the game run on the Switch.
>OST
Lots of remixes here and there. Some new OSTs are pretty great.
>MUH GAY BOY LONG HAIR
During the story, your form is change to a ninja with short hair. It won't stick to the end.
>replayablity
There are now Godborne Mode that turn everyone into level 150 and the shop owner will now sell all incense and sutra to make it easier to make your team. You also unlock the level cap from 99 to 150. It has always been uncapped, but you can have up to 999 for each stats.
>exploration
They added Rails that act like shortcuts. You can now change the view from the sky view to see everything from the top. You can save everywhere.
>Demon Haunt
They added an instance where you can hang out an chill with your Demons. They have lots of flavor text and its very entertaining.
>nerf
Many of the old DLC characters are now free, but they are nerf. They want you to use Dagda and the tokyo bawd. Fusion Elemental Warrior whatever is nerf so you can't make super powerful demons with crazy stats as easily.
Sounds good enough for a replay I guess
>If for some reason you want to play on the Switch
I mean, if the Steam version has denuvo I'll just emulate it
>Many of the old DLC characters are now free, but they are nerf
Now that sucks, Cleopatra was my favorite demon, I managed to get her extremely early and I used her my whole playthrough
Is V as grindy as IV?
Nothing was grindy about IV at all. Vengeance is probably even less grindy.
If you had to grind at any point in IV post minotaur you're cooked and might want to consider easy difficulty.
Why didn't Abdiel give Dazai some Clearasil?
It's freckles, not zits. And don't fetish shame her, it took a long time for her to find the perfect boy to groom.
Freckles don't look like blackheads Dazai.
Wash your fricking face
Freckles aren't raised up bumps half an inch off your face
Well i ain't playing in HD unlike most anons so that fact his marks are is kinda news to me.
Outside of demons, is there a specific route I should go for or does it not matter?
Only thing that matters is going Vengeance for a better first time. Otherwise, just pick whichever path you find more enjoyable. People have said that the Law ending is better, but it's better not to focus on it and just go for what's more fun to you.
If I play the Vengeance route for my first playthrough and decide I'm good, am I missing anything from skipping the original canon?
You miss the original story which really isn't that exciting. Some story beats are different between the two, and 2 locations change between the 2 paths, but it's generally not worth going back to unless you're trying for completion or you really want to experience the story that's been heavily criticized as being lackluster. Most go to the original canon just for the added superboss tbh.
sick, thanks. that was pretty much my only holdup with picking up SMTVVVVVV
If you have to play the game at least once, just play Vengeance. Super boss wise, you only need one play through to unlock Satan and it could be any path, including Vengeance. While you're playing Vengeance, pick up the hidden sword at the 3rd Daat so you can fight True Masakado in a different route.
I prefer the originals handling of Lahmu and the whole second chapter arc, personally. I'd play Vengeance then go back and at least play through Chapter 2 on the Creation storyline.
Tao is a much better character in the Lahmu version of CoV.
Yeah but Lahmu and Sahori are full moron
Just take the girls hand at the start so you are on the Vengance route and then answer all questions and pick the sides you prefer and see where you land on the Law/Chaos schism.
Just do Vengeance, you might miss some context but you can check CoC out on NG+ after CoV anyway if you end up being curious. but you will seriously feel how bare it is and why people told you to just do Vengance..
Yoko is a redditor, New Law > New Chaos
Yeah, but she's as cute as a button so it's okay.
Why does she go to a new school and continue to wear the old schools uniform
It's a common anime trope to make the transfer student (who will always be close/relevant to the main character) stand out from his classmates
>Why does she go to a new school and continue to wear the old schools uniform
It's because she just transfered in the middle of a semester and hasn't had a chance to buy a uniform yet, that's pretty common in reality and anime. Also the school was destroyed by demons.
Because it's cuter, don't need any other reason
rate my demon team

>More HP than SP
>STR higher than MAG
What in the goddamn
I don't remember the myths exactly, but basically she's an amazing warrior who ended up as a magic user sort of. She's the lady who trained Cu Chulain or however it's spelt.
What that other anon said, she's a warrior who trained Cu Chulainn and Ferdiad and even gave Cu the Gae Bolg. Of course she would be a phys demon.
do i read this right?
>user's attacks dont miss
does this translate to ailments if cu is in the party? they wont miss? (unless nulled)
I don’t think ailments count as attacks in that sense
Is there a way to check if you're a lawgay or not ? i'm not really keeping track and no idea where i'm aheaded.
Go to the Tokyo map and check how your character icon in the overworld is moving.
Clockwise > Law
Counterclockwise > Chaos
Bobbing back and forth > Neutral
>i'm a chaosgay
uh oh
thanks bud.
I've noticed the game has a bias towards Chaos early on, since I was pretty sure I was pretty neutral in my True Neutral run before I checked and saw I was Chaos. Thankfully depending on how late you are in the story, there are a few story moments that can help you swing over to Law as well as some sidequests that'll help push the meter over.
I'm at Shinjunku of CoC, i don't mind being chaos myself i just figured, as how people generally recommended, it would've been better to choose neutral
DEMONS could be here. I've never been to this part of the Netherworld. DEMONS could be anywhere.
>he thinks that, with a car, you can go anywhere you want
Playing the new route blind for the first time. Do my choices I make actually matter and steer me towards an alignment/ending like SMT IV or is it all window dressing like the original route and I just pick my alignment/ending near the end
Your alignment does actually matter this time, so don't pick all the chaotic answers and hope to get a Law ending.
Does picking Apsaras or Lienan Sidhe counts as alignment choices? Or is it those choices that'd suddenly pop out beside the Nahobino during story mission. The ones that are blurred I mean. Or both? I'm still pretty early into VV. Never played V. Like in SJR my only other SMT game that I've played, even sidequests would alter my alignment.
Side quests appear to matter. You'll get a dialogue at the end with Yoko and eventually Tao talking about if this was the best outcome.
>is it all window dressing like the original route and I just pick my alignment/ending near the end
This still pisses me off. There’s genuinely so much wrong with the original game but reducing a series known for making your decisions matter to a simple 3 option choice at the end has to be one of the dumbest things this series has done
Haha yeah, who would ever add the option to change your alignment on a whim right?
*hides Strange Journey and SMT1 behind me*
New Law > Old Chaos > True Neutral > New Chaos > Old Law > Neutral
Christ Yoko is a fricking edgelord and not even in a funny ironic way
>I want to help my best friend what should I do??
>kill her bullies lol
Either grow a pair or have a nice day. Those are your only real choices.
>That smile
>That damned smile
I've only ever played persona, should I give this a go?
The battles are kinda similar so you shouldn't have too much trouble going in. The main differences are that hitting a weakness or crit doesn't give a One More but instead adds an additional turn to your party and moves it to the next person, you can skip turns to spend 1/2 a turn to move to the next person, there's no All Out Attack, party members besides the MC initially can't use items, and you have a team of up to 24 demons compared to Persona's 6-10. If you're more interested in the Persona combat than the story and social links, give it a go.
>hitting a weakness or crit doesn't give a One More but instead adds an additional turn to your party and moves it to the next person, you can skip turns to spend 1/2 a turn to move to the next person
Technically they're both the same, hitting a weakness or crit just uses half of a turn orb, and attacking or guarding uses the next available orb, whether it's a half orb or full orb
Also missed/reflected/blocked/absorbed attacks cost the next two available orbs, be they half or full orbs. Fricking up also takes priority over hitting a weakness or critting, so if you use an attack that targets all enemies and 5 are weak to it but 1 blocks it, then you lose 2 actions rather than like with persona's 1 more where you'd get the 1 more.
If you played OG Persona 3 it's a lot more like that, though still a bit different.
She is the absolute worst Mary Sue they've ever written
Why'd they ruin the battle music in the Vengeance route bros?
>haven't played SMT in a while and used to Atlus having "retry battle" as an option when you die
>get 1HKO'd in an overworld fight
>hadn't saved for 1.5 hours
Why in God's name did they add saving in the overworld but not auto save or retry
>Breaking a good habit because another game spoiled you like a baby.
Deserved.
Thinking about picking this up soon, should I go Creation or Vengeance? Is Vengeance an objectively better experience? Does it make Creation pointless?
If you want to do all the superbosses and complete the compendium you should play creation first
Vengeance is a better experience overall since it adds more characterization to the humans you travel with alongside actually using them in battle. Creation isn't entirely pointless because Vengeance does allude to some things that happen in Creation, but its value has diminished.
Wait so alignment actually matters in Vengeance? I thought it would be like in Vanilla aka your choices in side quest doesnt matter and right near the end you just pick 1 ending and thats it
Your choices in Canon of Vengeance determine your ending out of two, yeah. To be clear though, what happened in V isn't a new thing. I'd have to go back and check which games specifically did it as well, but it's always been around as an option as far back as the first SMT.
Not like this it hasn't. You could choose who to side with if you're neutral, but Law couldn't join Chaos at the end and vice versa for the first two games.
Techinally Nocturne's routes don't care about alignment, but just how you responded to the Reason Bearers throughout the game, but IV:A is the first game I know of that lets you choose your ending no matter your previous choices or alignment.
The older games were lacking with the way they handles alignment (especially the TDL/goblin thing letting you manipulate it), but they still did commited to it more than the new games are, and I wish the series leaned harder into this aspect more over time instead of less
>The older games were lacking with the way they handles alignment (especially the TDL/goblin thing letting you manipulate it), b
in 1 and 2 you shift depending on the demons you've killed. So if you're out of options you can grind where a load of chaos/law demons are to slowly push you in the right direction. 1 also has that Disney Land maze where you go down a load of tunnels and get a bonus alignment boost.
I know those exploits existed, tried to mention that with "the TDL/goblin thing", which means that, yes, if you know of and are willing to grind those poorly thought out mechanics, the end result is that you can just choose your ending. But it's still not the same as the game giving up entirely on making your choices matter.
In 1/2 there was exclusive equipment, different healers, which usually didn't matter, except in certain areas where only Law/Chaos healers were available, demons not wanting to listen to the opposite alignment.
All those things could seriously use tweaking, but they did add flavor if nothing else, and it's clear that the no-budget devs, that really didn't have a great skill for game mechanics/balance, TRIED to make alignment matter, even beyond determining the ending.
Point I'm trying to make is, instead of discarding those old ideas cause they weren't very well implemented, I wish the modern team, who do have a budget, much more experience with game design, and since IV:A have been making consistent effort towards distinguishing each demon, would make the same efforts towards making the player's alignment matter throughout the game, both throughout the game mechanically, and how the route split is handled. If they wanted to, I think they could refine those old ideas, and give each alignment more benefits and limitations, while scrubbing out things like that maze and the hole-digging fairy. The new alignment/racial magatsuhi skills could work well for alignment-exclusive stuff for a start.
They do seem conflicted on how they want to handle the route split, seeing as Vengeance apparently goes back to having player-alignment determine the route. So while I don't have any hope towards seeing the next games go in the direction I'd like, maybe it's not totally impossible.
The problem is the reality of these attempts to bake it into mechanics have been seen time again. Lets say we link magatsuhi skill to it. Well we already have an issue where everyone just uses critical, and at the other end only the few truly busted ones. The skills requiring certain sets of demons or races are seeing even less use. So clearly we need a system that is more open as restrictions discourage experimentation. This is not an issue of budget or changing sensibilities. They moved away from it cause the only outcome was people sitting online going hmmm how interesting that my choices matter, when you buy the law armour not the chaos armour both of which serve as a good enough upgrade. Sometimes mechanics sound nice but don't work out.
Nta but omagatogi critical is not good except at the beginning and the combo moves are really really strong except meme ones like slimes
I tried to make that point while still pointing out a lot of people stick with what they know. Its very hard to get players using all the mechanics in a game. if you can get them to try there is a good chance they'll use this new tool the same way every time. Critical is very easy to apply on top of all this but if it was one of the almighty attacks or attack buffs the result would likely be the same. So V having so many restrictions around magatsuhi adds an extra barrier.
You can literally just go to the maze area in the first game and that will shift your alignment one way or the other, same with grinding demons in 2. Strange Journey has the fairy who just changes it for you outright. I think you're making a mountain out of a mole hill personally.
in IV:A if you go against your alignment the fight you have to do is much harder. if you're friendship and go with dagda you can't access your items for that fight.
Yes it's more akin to previous games where your nonsensical choices have been steering you towards law/chaos/neutral
The Ending is only affected by one choice at the end, only thing your choices throughout the sidequests affect is the miracle you unlock and even then it's only between chaos and law. You don't get a miracle for neutral quests unless the deva saw the quest lines for the true neutral as the compromise for not giving a miracle.
>The Ending is only affected by one choice at the end,
Most do matter, but if you are neutral at the split you choose your path.
Damn right I will.
Valid strategy?
You didn't beat him.
Why did they need Shiva in Vengeance
>Still sold most on Switch
Fricking why
Snoys don't buy games.
I bought it on PS5 and had the og on Switch. Runs so much better its not even funny.
Just buy it on PC like a normal person.
PS5 doesn't have Denuvo.
There's a 13% off at fanatical right now
Should I?
I doubt we get a summer sale discount
What does intelligence of a character have to do with good writing? Good written characters aren't perfect logical computers, they have flaws and complexities like real humans.
>Cars? Why they're evil
>Sandwiches? Evil
>Pet dogs? You guessed it, evil.
Wow I never thought about that before.. ur so smart
This game is all about fighting MOMMIES. Why do I have to fight beautiful MATURE women every 2 hours? It breaks my heart.
You realize you will enemtually get the chance to fuse them back and have a full mommy party, correct?
I get where you're coming from
I checked out of her character when she said "perhaps tens of millions". She's a complete moron.
I wonder where she even get that """"ballpark""""" figure. Is she israeli?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_traffic-related_death_rate
1.36 million people died from automobile accidents just in 2016. So, her numbers aren't wrong. That's not the problem with what she's saying. The issue is that she talks like cars were just a luxury.
what about ambulances genius
I thought she'd talk about that shit where some israeli freak car salesman trying to be cheap caused the global IQ drop by 10 points and poisoned the entire population forever.
Yoko was right
They really missed the opportunity to make a Truck-kun demon.
>Runs better on PS5
>Load times are the exact same between Switch and PS5
What the frick is going on here?
Tim's magic at work.
Switch internal memory is a ssd and game cartridges are flash memory.
I'm sorry you fell for Snoy's super ssd meme but it has been debunked numerous times by dozens of games
>that rapid shifting of the camera after the Lahmu fight until it lands on the Qadistu lady
>that terrible B-movie transition to the dumb Tao cutscene
lmao this game really is a comedy.
Ive been doing the extra bosses towards Demifiend (currently filtered by Trumpeter) but it seems he is a superboss that requieres a party of buffed up 99lvl demons.
Guess I shouldnt had bothered
What are Yoko's thoughts on exotic bullies?
Chaosgays love exotic bullies
no crack yet?
>"CARS are here" she thought, "I've never been to this part of Da'at before. There could be more CARS anywhere." The ethical dilema felt good against her superiority complex. "I HATE CARS" she thought. Dozens of motor vehicle death statistics repeated throughout her Chaos aligned brain, making her morally correct ethics throb even as the 100¥ mascara stuck to her powerful Japanese eyes and her Mary-Sue-splaining to the Nahobino washed away her (merited) fear of being exposed as a brainlet. "To the Nahobino, you can say anything you want," she said to herself, out loud, to the Nahobino.
The "I hate cars" thing makes sense when you realize she's a skater girl.
She isn't.
It's not her skateboard, it's always there.
>t. Yoko
You can visit the roof and talk to some fatass and the skateboard is still there.
>this is the one time anons actually critically analyse Yoko at all
I really want a mod to have her skateboard in and out of the battle when summoned or ko'd
>"To the Nahobino, you can say anything you want," she said to herself, out loud, to the Nahobino.
Lmao
So Satan plunders every 5 turns and mirage forces him to use megidolaon instead of megido ark for some reason.
You just have to stall when it's close to 5 turns to make him eat the demon with shield of god, fairy banquet, rasetsu feast, and twilight wave(phys dampener) instead of hariti/sarasvati which will heal him up to full.
Is there a nude Pixie mod?
God I hope so
>All my favourite themes have been remixed
>They're a bit worse
Hmm.
Has Dancing Crazy Murder been remixed?
Haven't gotten there yet but nearly all of the Da'at battle themes so far are a bit meh
Name my band

why do people love to use MC on non-first slot, can anyone explain?

I hope that when SMTVI comes out in like 2032 they have Nahobino as a super boss and he does exactly this in his AI lmao
>Wait why's he dismissing all his demons
>OH SHIT
>Playing SMTVI on my Switch 2 at a glorious 900p and a spotty 20fps in the 20th year of Luigi in 2032
>Buy the Nahobino DLC
>Oh cool Nahobino with Jack Frost, Iduin and Tap
>Huh this isn't so hard
>Nahobino dismissed Jack Frost
>Oh no
>Nahobino dismissed Iduin
>OH NO
>Nahobino dismissed Tao
>DON'T YOU FRICKING DO IT
>4 press turns

>3000 damage to my first demon
>"Murakumo!"
>4000 damage to my second demon
>"Murakumo!"
>3500 damage to my third demon
>"Murakumo!"
>3000 damage to my MC
It's going to fricking happen.
Dismiss demon?
When you dismiss your demons in the first turn it adds a counter to the Press Turn. If you dismiss 3 demons, you end up with 4 turns on your Nahobino in the second cycle.
oh interesting I am still confused sometimes how the press turn shit works. Sometimes it just conjures up lost moves apparently. But I noticed there's rarely a trade-off for swapping out demons/characters.
Swapping just moves the turn order forward but dismissing adds to the counter while lowering the cycle of repeats. So you'll end up with 4 turns on the Nahobino. It's a half baked meta strat that I think Demi Fiend has scripting to shit on you for using, so Atlus is obviously aware of it. It creates a complete glass canon though, if you don't end it in that one turn, or if you don't over invest in Vitality, you're absolutely fricked for the battle going forward.
lmao I'm going full magic since I want my nahobino to have good stats and have at least three different elements
NTA but we all saw this, right?
?si=KNwEf9WJgBiHsjLp
The character who goes first wants to get a crit or hit a weakness so that you’re not wasting a turn and Bino on too many turns wants to dance, use buff moves, summon demons etc
I love the game so far (about 25 hours in, fairy part) I just wish it didn't feel so formulaic and feels very BOTW inspired open world-wise.
Also the first SMT/Persona game where playing on hard doesn't annoy me.
I feel like the open world is just fun enough to explore without being a hassle 2bh.
PS4 or Switch? I'm sure PS4 runs a little better but it is digital only.
>PC
not till denuvo is gone which will be never
I got it on Switch simply because I prefer JRPGs in handheld mode so I can chip away at them. I tend to put it on the dock for exploration/story moments but go handheld when I'm fusing, grinding, etc.
Yoko is so moronic to the point that she tried to argue Kudlak was in the right for harvesting humans for blood
>Demon Haunt
Unironically and uniliterally probably the absolute worst addition to any SMT game ever. Up until now Demons are tools for the betterment of the MCs goals and now apparently they're fricking Pokémon.
>Nooooo you can't interact with the demons in the game where the main recruiting mechanic is talking to them! It's just like pokemon!
>Love your demons! Get to know them!
>Oh also fuse them in to better demons every chance you get
It doesn't marry up, chum. It's all a bit weird.
yes and? those are not mutually exclusive
I think that's the exact reason why they did it. You could keep the old demons you bonded with around, but you also can just use them as fusion fodder for something stronger. That sentimental value adds a bit to the new demon you make.
Also if there really is a demon you want to keep around, you'll have to do what everyone else does and reverse fusion it down so that you can make a super variation with all the good skills and resistances you weren't able to provide early on in the game.
You guys do realize he spam this in every threads since launch, right?
It's a bit weird because the game literally punishes you for keeping demons too long. Sure maybe they'll get a couple of extra points in magic, agility, etc as they level and you build trust with them, but literally every time I've compared an over leveled demon from the previous area to even a regular demon from my current area the new one completely stomps the old one. I suppose there's Miracles and such that might make this better in terms of stat migration to the newly fused demon but it's really not that prevalent. I don't quite get why they did this, although I imagine it's mostly to add the extra Yoko/Tao/Aogami conversations.
it's a perfect addition... for the Devil Summoner series which is dead
It's excellent, anything that fleshses out the demons is always a good thing because the demons are the main stars of these games.
Demons are tools but that doesn't mean they are personality-less stats bags. Having no attachment is just a given if they barely exist as a character to begin with. Fusing away your bro though? I dunno, maybe I'll keep king frost for a bit longer cause he's been my MVP.
no. it's an excellent addition
it allows more customization, to play however you want
Now it is viable to keep the demons you like if you want to.
>Up until now Demons are tools for the betterment of the MCs goals and now apparently they're fricking Pokémon.
Demons are called Nakamas in Japan.
Demons originally couldn't level up until Nocturne added it because the devs realized people liked certain demons. The ''demons are just tools!'' thing is a misconception spread by the English fandom.
>why don't you just kill the bullies bro
fricking what
Isn't that what happens in the original
In the original, Sahori gets gaslit and manipulated by Lahmu
In Vengeance, Yoko tells Tao to enable that behavior.
It was "ask yourself, are you prepared to kill them?" which is an entirely different take.
>"ask yourself, are you prepared to kill them?"
to which anyone would reply
>why the frick would I kill them?
Tao does that and then Yoko goes on to explain her reasoning that a definitive end to the bullying is what Sahori needs, not just empty promises or actions. That's a correct statement and what resolves the situation in both routes, not Tao's idea of staying by her side or telling a teacher.
Also for the record you guys can shit on Yoko all you want for being a dumbass, but Tao is the one who was fully convinced to the point of committing murder by that same argument you're mocking.
nobody said Tao was smart either. I doubt Tao herself thinks of herself as intelligent, that's Yoko's shit.
Plus, there's a third option of simply standing up for yourself without killing the bullies. You know, what 90% of people who aren't spineless morons or psychopaths end up doing.
>Plus, there's a third option of simply standing up for yourself without killing the bullies.
You can't stand up for the victim, that only temporarily stops the bullying in that moment. You would have to actually teach the victim to stand up for themselves, which is the same argument using a different example.
Nobody is talking about whatever you are at all.
>You can't stand up for the victim, that only temporarily stops the bullying in that moment.
and by killing the bullies you create an entirely different issue. One most likely more dangerous than the bullying to begin with. Yoko and Tao are dumb teenager but the fact Tao is able to think things through without becoming a redditor shows her true character compared to Yoko.
>by killing the bullies you create an entirely different issue.
That would depend on the situation really, plenty of ways it could work realistically like if you could prove self defense which wouldn't be too hard because they're already physically attacking her almost every day.
But regardless, it doesn't really matter. She used an edgy example because she's a weird loner, but her actual point is definitely true.
>the fact Tao is able to think things through without becoming a redditor shows her true character compared to Yoko.
She went along with it stupidly, the only reason she didn't is because of Sahori not wanting to see Tao hurting. It's later when she actually grows a spine, anon.
>Plus, there's a third option of simply standing up for yourself without killing the bullies. You know, what 90% of people who aren't spineless morons or psychopaths end up doing.
Y'know, this argument would've hold up a lot better back in IV:A for Dadga when he was trying to get you on his side, moreso than just explaining how people's opinions turn on a blink of an eye when things go south.
There's the issue that finally standing up for yourself gets you in trouble as well (sometimes even worse for the same sin), but at the very least, it would be on your terms, and no one else.
>You know, what 90% of people who aren't spineless morons or psychopaths end up doing
B-but those don't get televised compared to those who snap and pick the final solution
killing anyone who even slightly incoveniences you is a valid way to structure your life or society.
Yoko is intentionally meant to come over as childish in her approach. She's a kid who is circling a truth but doesn't really know how to explain herself and has taken to lashing out. I like how Tao starts off even more childish but through the game manages to grow past Yoko, or at least her judgement isn't clouded by pain but a desire to fix.
Yoko is a treasure.
I am never fusing away Idun and Hayataro
Is there any benefit to keeping Pixie? I'm assuming there's no super Pixie but does she get any cool shit from the Demon Haunt mechanic?
Hope you're going to max out their incenses buddy
Pixie may have a quest or some fun lines, but not really.
It is only slightly relevant when you have Demifiend as a guest, as his Pixie will ask about your first demon, but it's all flavor text.
Is Yoko the edgiest Chaos rep so far? I can't think of anyone that comes close.
Eh not really because by the end she is advocating more for a neutral outcome where all deities go away but she is definitely the dumbest
She reminds me of my best friend when he went through his pseudo intellectual phase. He spent a lot of time watching Sargon of Akkad, Milo Yinnapololos and Ben Shapiro and parroted their opinions/world view. Any time you'd challenge his beliefs he would completely fall apart because he was for lack of a better word a little bit dumb and was just parroting what was said by the YouTube crowd. Yoko gives me those vibes.
She basically starts already in the "radical" phase of alignment representatives, like late-game Walter or post-fusion Jimenez, and just develops a bit to briefly question her choice, but sticks with it in the end. Although her ultimate goal is different since she didn't have any hopes for the current world at all and thought true freedom would only exist after a full reset of the world.
Yoko needs dick badly. She's school shooter-tier
How do I keep Daisoujou relevant? I really like his unique debuff skill but his stats are starting to fall behind.
Do I just feed him stat items and grimoires?
>Do I just feed him stat items and grimoires?
That's pretty much it.
You can also wait the end of the game/NG+ to refuse him with better skills.
frick... what if I need the stat items later?
You can farm them and they are buyable on godborne.
Frick cars
Her goddess form is better than Tao
>challenge Yoko even slightly
>she goes apeshit
I thought she was the Chaosgay rep
everyone takes for granite
If she chaos, why she so cute?
evil things seduce
What do you think Yoko's favourite youtube poop is?
Swaus
fesh pince
I wonder if there are enough fesh pince quotes that fit all the demons or at least the main cast
How can I unlock Idun special fusion? Do I need to do a side quest somewhere? I'm already above lvl 42 and left the fairy town
Do her quest.
At the end you'll have a choice, one will make her join you directly.
No you mean Jack Frost's quest which is close to her
Do I eat the apple? I chose not to eat it but I can still recover my save file, she is available in fusion now
You have to not eat it to get Idun iirc.
It doesn't change anything. She says she would not be disappointed if you ate the apple
>Do I eat the apple?
Eat apple: get Chaos Point. Don't eat it, Get Law
What the frick was this about even
EVERYBODY IS SO INFATUATED
EVERYBODY IS SO COMPLETELY SURE OF WHAT WE ARE
EVERYBODY DEFAMATES FROM MILES AWAY BUT FACE TO FACE THEY HAVEN'T GOT A THING TO SAY
Should've given her the dick
is bloody glee worth a slot? It doesn't even tell you how much is the crit rate increase.
Aramasa + Bloody Glee carried me til the 4th area in my Vanilla playthrough
Look here for stuff like that:
https://aqiu384.github.io/megaten-fusion-tool/smt5v/skills
I think it's kind of bullshit they don't just give you the information up front, but it is what it is.
my sisterwife is so cute
What level can I get Jackbino?
65
thx
Cute.
Beat the game on Law route, shit was great. The final section is so much better in Canon of Vengeance. I was basedjaking during this cutscene.
i'm a little confused on yoko's route
>she's using tiamat to nuke the world
>somehow mastema controls it
>we decide to destroy tiamat
>uhh how we going to destroy the world now
>lucifer: NOOOOOOOOOOOO YOU'RE CONTINUING THE CYCLE (i thought the whole point of this route was frick the cycle frick everything. destroy to begin anew)
maybe it's my fault for pulling an all nighter to finish it but this sounds so weird.
Chaos route seems kind half-assed. I think Law rotue is the one you're meant to do. I don't see the problem with Mastema being able to control it, since it was foreshadowed plenty, but his own boss fight coming after it was too normal, Koshimizu healing Yoko is kind of random and they have no connection whatsoever.
Also Lucifer is an annoying self-inserting old-timer that everyone has to pretend is very important.
Why couldn't we have Goko fight instead? He talks like he's about to transform and beat the shit out of Beano and just fricks off.
Lucifer is basically just giving you the knowledge to try and create a world without the Mandala System.
They still have the power. I guess Yoko can just summon Tiamat again. Lucifer in the final battle just says he's testing your power. Lucifer is just alarmed because you aren't following his plans to break the Mandala System, but ultimately he is fine with it and says returning everything to primordial chaos would work too.
That said, the dialogue -during- the Lucifer battle is copy-pasted from other routes and doesn't really fit Chaos well, since he talks like the /Nahobino were planning to rule from the throne.
what the fugg
(am i supposed to essence infusion MC off of dark weakness for the latter first area of the game? i keep Game Over to basic b***h dark spells)
Yes. Being weak to dark means you have a chance of getting instantly killed by dark moves. Light works the same way.
Yeah, Naamah can be considered this game's Matador. Her role is to just show up and annihilate you if you aren't using all the game's mechanics especially in the rematch.
i bet most of you guys asking for help are playing on normal mode ew
Has anyone managed to beat this homie on hard difficulty? He just keeps killing every single one of my demons on one hit with megido ark, even while fully buffed/debuffed. I heard he won't do it if no one in the party nullifies fire or physical, but I don't wanna give up Konohana Sakuya. Already beat Demi-boy tho
If you use the guaranteed dodge skill he uses megidolaon instead of megido ark which is way easier for your demons to tank
Should I play the original story before the new one ?
i'm looking for a guy in finance
6'5
blue eyes
finance
6'5
blue eyes
Nope. There are couple of things later in the game that happen off-screen in the new story and were on-screen in the old one, but the old one didn't really build up to any of that anyway. You might as well just take things as presented in the new story for a first playthrough.
you're wrong
What about some arguments.
No, just play Vengeance and then speedrun the original story in NG+ to see why Atlus needed to give the game a second plot to begin with.
If Yoko was a guy he would be one of the most hated videogame characters ever
Yes, because nobody expects a woman to talk sense.
I haven't played SMTV yet.
Is it too much of a loaded question to ask if the fans like Vengeance? Was it good?
When I finally get around to playing SMTV, I imagine that Vengeance is absolutely the version to go for?
It's good
Yes, it's improved over the original in every way
Yeah, reception to Vengeance is more positive than to the original V. Both gameplay fixes and story, even if some people have some complaints here and there.
I want to frick abdiel every time she's on screen
Should I get this or Elden Ring DLC
Sorry, no gays
VV is very fun
I'd say this, ER appears to be unplayable at the moment, mostly due to players NOT FRICKING EXPLORING AND GETTING THE NEW ITEMS THAT INCREASE YOUR STATS
Should I replace Dustoma? Is her unique better than Mudoon? Not worth keeping both?
Her unique hits hard as frick.
Die for Me + Dance Magatsuhi + Pandaemonic Feast is huge damage, but I still kept Mudoon and later Mudobarion on just in case there was a single target she meeded to hit. I'd just leave applying ailments to another Demon.
DID THEY FINALLY FRICKING ADDRESS WHATEVER THE FRICK MANDALA SYSTEM IS?
THE CONVERSATION WITH LUCIFER STILL HAS ME SEETHING TO THIS DAY FROM V
god this design is so frickin shit
also who cares lol. only SJ has a cool story enough to care about.
It's just the Greater Will/Axiom again, there's always going to be some even higher power mysteriously above it all.
>Kill God and then you kill God, and then you'll have to kill God, then you'll have to kill God
What does it say about Chaosgays that they NEVER get to run the show?
Its always either Law in charge or a new Law above the prior Law in charge
Greater will/axiom isn't necessarily law though, that's YHVH.
The axiom is just a different purview of morality but is still law none the less putting mechanistic systems into place for people to follow.
Every time you usurp a God, another one is waiting behind it because Law always rules.
More than anything its an argument of structure vs freedom. Lucifer will always oppose structure, claiming his actions are to humanities benefit though seemingly just a way for him to get the upper hand. Even if he seems to appreciate you opposing him if its your own choice. The axiom's goal is forever unclear but it is implementing rules and attempting to guide down a certain path to create something. Potentially Lucifer is just a pawn in all this as well, destruction is another step in building.
monke
Its a demon + their knowledge ascending to the throne and then using their power to shape the world. They're trapped in a constant cycle of fighting and being replaced. Lucifer wants to end this, be it having you rule from now on or completely put an end to it. Of course its questionable if the former is even possible and that eventually something will find some way to usurp you.
>le cycles
>le shackles
I'm sick of this dude.
What did you think samsara was just for one life time? You best start seeking enlighten.
Isnt it explained in SMT3?
You're thinking of the Amala system.
No I thought in maniax Lucifer lore dumps in that dungeon with Dante about parallel universes or something?
Yeah, that's the Amala multiverse.
They explain the hell out of in Vengence and how Yoko and the 4 bawds want to destroy and free everyone from it. Meanwhile Mastema everything in his power to make the cycle go on
Vaguely implied it may be the curse Marduk set up when he died.
why does she look way more detailed than the other hoe?
I'm getting raped by the officer larper.
easiest fight in the game. Just get your beano to null elec. He'll spam galvanic slash on him every turn.
his physical attacks rape my team. somehow masukunda does nothing on this homosexual.
Hayatoro can just do Witness Me and end every turn as Yakumo does Galvanic Slash on repeat.
I'm on CoC
Is nodding really the chaos option?
being eager to fuse with hot guy
pretty chaotic if you ask me
I was told the bottom option is always chaos
ok but which one is more for (you)?
kill them. kill them all. and the children too
She is right though.
Bullying and cheating are both inherent, unlearned behaviors and people who engage in them are evil on a fundamental level. They can’t be reasoned with or learn that it’s wrong they can only be taught to hide the behavior. It’s better to eliminate the gene entirely.
Chaoshomosexualry is nothing but justification for bullying though
Is this as stupid in context as it is out of context?
oni bro never got the good ending in the original, right?
No.
Is this form in CoC?
No in CoC you are blue from start to finish
Am I fricking up by sitting on essences? I used maybe like 5 essences throughout my Hard mode journey in about 25 hours, at least two of those were affinity shifts for my MC so I would not get instakilled by bosses.
My brain gets fried trying to manage 18 demons, their skills, affinities and fusions I want so I only use essences on myself. I fuse a lot so I don't see the point of adding an essence when Im going to have to pick and choose very soon and probably lose it anyways.
I also dont use items at all unless Im really fricked.
I mostly use them on the MC unless I'm desperate. Its a good system for when you really need to change something, but for the most part you should be able to fuse what you need normally. Towards the end where you really make broken stuff it comes in for making finishing touches. I would've appreciated getting to use them on human party members, but I understand why instead they're strong but limited.
Still there is probably ways to expand the system. I've been thinking it'd be neat if SMT6 didn't give the MC set skills but limited abilities and combat items. You could load up an essence for a couple uses or craft it into a combat item. If SMT is moving in the open structure with lots of stuff to collect than resource management should be a bigger deal.
I just really use them when I'm close to beat the game so I can give myself skills and immunities to defeat some annoying bosses.
Yes. The game literally shits essences at you. There is genuinely no reason not to use them. Pretty much any time I round up a bunch of demons through negotiation, I essence the frick out of them, if only so that I can fuse that shit onto others.
Just give it to the demon you want directly instead of passing it on?
I'm amazed at how TRASH the compendium UI in SMTVV is.
I'm driving to the store right now to get my copy of SMTVV I hope nothing bad happens
ear
>Capitulate to Pleasure +7
webm DOKO?
Last time I posted it I got a three day vacation. Might have been my mods.
Has she been outmoded?
bro block physical is fricking broken in this game, god bless black rider
Does it actually mater what demon you side with in quests?
Can I get this cool dude regardless of whether i side with his dad or not?
You can, but the decisions you make in sidequests effects what ending you get in CoV.
The one you pick joins for free but you unlock the ability to fuse both
the son is a easier fight than the fater, also the father is fricking broken for the final boss fight of the area.
>Critical Aura
>Omnipotent Succession
>Wrath Tempest
this is the way right?
Omnipotent Succession overwrites Critical Aura
That is fricking gay.
The 90s were a different time
Speaking of
>bring back the rumor race after literal decades (dx2 doesn't count frick you)
>bring back turbo-granny and no one else
They were my favorite part of Soul Hackers, and I want them back.
>Chiyoda got cut in the new route
oh wow thank god I pirated this garbage
frick you all
Chiyoda is easily the worst zone
>ptsd from the things blocking the map in vanilla
Here comes the fatlus defense force
Next you're going to tell me that the demon king castle was shit
I don't think any of them are bad, but I think Taito is the worst. The layout isn't bad, but the game drags there a lot and if you count Temple of Eternity as part of it then that is easily the most boring part of the game in my book.
if it means being rid of the castle it's well worth it
HORE HOOOORE!
YATTA? YATTA!?
UEEEEEH...

another atlus re-release
another forced know-it-all character that can fix og story’s issues without much thought
so for Vengeance run, big decisions along with alignment specific demons is around lvl 60 right?
The big decision is when you enter the final heaven dungeon right after you fight two bosses, one being Metatron. Save before this.
You only get a decision if you're neutral-aligned at that point, by the way. If you're already spinning on the world map, you get railroaded.
Did you like your new partner?
Yeah he dresses better than Aogami. I also think Tsukuyomi Bino is a better design.
Did the Demifiend fight got harder on Normal to make up for the potential buffs from the Demon Haunt?
What was the point of this character?
writer's least obvious hateboner for Chaos
Reddit hubby
Makes less sense in CoV because in CoC he's Tsukuyomi's knowledge.
suffer
>useless from beginning to end
Sad, but thanks for the new design bro.
He is made to suffer. Yuzuru come off as someone that would be a Main character, but (You) show up and took that title away from him.
That is the entire point and why you got a new form.
more like whats the point of THIS character
sex
She actually has a point in Vengeance which is being Yuzuru’s motivation. Now that I think about it, I really do like that Yuzuru was on his way to being a strong character, but that got ripped from him suddenly. If CoC was any good it probably would have given him that complete development.
>tries to kill you because Dazai killed her brother
Bitch
She kinda had a point. Tsukuyomi recruiting child soldiers to fight elder gods is pretty irresponsible.
But trying to kill your only living friend while they are trying to save the entire fricking world from complete and utter destruction is a peak woman moment.
To be fair, she was mainly trying to kill Tsukuyomi, but yeah, they kind of brushed over that meant you also.
Scolding me for being careless and cumming all over her glasses
I like him now. In OG he was literally a cardboard prop for Tsukiyomi who was the real chaos rep, now he's the chaos rep of suffering/super cuck. Which, is generally in line with the chaos Mandate anyway
humiliation ritual, that is why he also looks like what you would expect a smt protagonists to look like, is atlus saying they are a homosexual company now and will pander to them exclusively.
This question works on like 80% of the cast.
It really doesn’t in Vengeance though. Sahori and what happens to her further develops Tao.
Sahori was actually really well done in Vengeance, unlike in the original I wish she didn't die. I dislike how Beano seems to disappear in cutscenes whenever the b***h 4 are around and that one is especially bad, like he just stood there and watched his sisterwife and the cute school shooter get tentacled by Lilith.
>Khonsu, please protect and frick my little sister like how I could not...
>Nahobino, please fuse Hayataro and combine with my knowledge...
>Dazai, please end me...
>I'm useless...
He tells you directly ingame, anon.
i like nu atsuta tbh, his fight was the first one that forced me to move around affinities and skills rather than just letting me steamroll through him
og atsuta was barely a character too so its an upgrade imo
I was really hoping we'd get Punished Yuzuru, but his schizo potential was cut short by a higher-level schizo
s-should i?
Let us become one in the other world!
>Shows up at your dorm uncalled for
Absolutely chaotic
she cute
too cute
Unfortunately she's severely moronic.
moronic girls are the cutest though?
I clapped
for all the talk of troonylators ruining jRPGs, I'm continually amazed at the quality of the localizations in SMT. I don't even know how some stuff is even kept in.
They wouldn't have made a bunch of horny comments from female demons or this. They might have started using AI to do their translating.
Nich Maragos leaving did Atlus wonders.
Atlus' entire existence is the antithesis to Ganker
>Sexy women in games
>No interest in American social nonsense
>Good localizations
dont worry that's about to change
(in fact already has with P3R)
i think smt v was translate from the same group that did the yakuza ones
ok this new dungeon shakan suck ass,how the frick came with this shit
does smt v booru have any new stuff or is it just fujo gay shit still?
When will they make an offline version of Dx2
>you can get every route exclusive miracle and demon in CoV no matter what route you take even CoC ones.
why would they do this...come on what the frick?
is ER PvP even fixed or is DS2 still the king of PvP?
lmao
Does this happen differently in Vengeance because it was funny as frick in Vanilla
>Does this happen differently in Vengeance because it was funny as frick in Vanilla
Vengeance has a redone version of that one scene which is also funny in it's own right. It's great.
the scene where he forgets he cant conjure a laser sword without his S H O N E N is so stupid
Well Ganker?
ye I'm a virgin. So what? It's by choice I swear.
should I replace Matador's Andalucia with something else? I'm around lv 45
is it even possible to beat the super bosses without dlc mitama? the amount of macca and demon level/essence required to get a build which might stand a chance is ridiculous.
Its conditioning you to use the DLC freely for Godborne.
