The issue with that interpretation is that certain lines within the game would imply, were the princess a metaphor for your "true gender", that you can never actually embrace it. Actual spoilers for the end of the game incoming:
The player character is a splinter of the godhead which the Princess originates from. It is made explicitly clear that the player is a separate entity from the godhead and can never actually rejoin it completely. If the game were a trans metaphor, that would imply that any attempts to become the Princess are fruitless and self destructive endeavors, as you simply can't.

Of all the “conflict-oriented” Princesses, her route has the most precarious balance between which one of you has control. She has you on the verge of death at all times but she’s as easy to kill as the Chapter 1 Princess. Little tidbits in her dialogue (and the tear drop before taking off her mask) imply that she’s unsure of what the world is in spite of her callous regard towards your safety, which is why she needs you.
“Let me out let me out LET ME OUT” is her commanding and threatening you, but it’s also desperate enough to be begging. Nightmare does need you but she isn’t as clever about reaching this conclusion as the Beast is. She sees something important to her but doesn’t understand how to approach it.
And so when you pull the Clarity from the well, even though you’re basically railroaded into doing so when you reach this point, it’s still such a tender moment. Even she looks up at you with a look of disbelief, as if just waiting to see what you’ll do next. It’s a moment of vulnerability for what’s one of her more powerful variants and the way the music comes to a complete stop reflects this. It’s capped off by her simply wondering what’s next, and for once her naïveté isn’t met with something gruesome.
Sorry for the longpost, this was one of the first routes I did and that moment with Clarity still sticks out to me

Chapter 2 for me, and then her chapter 4 form. Can't lay my finger on why, exactly, but she's just cuter.
That's a tough one, but I feel like Chapter 2 is a little more expressive. That could just be because she gets the best expressions of the bunch though. Chapter 4 has the weakest design, the reveal is really well done and a great capstone to her whole body horror thing, but there's only so much you can do with a giant Christmas tree made of blades and it obviously can't be as emotive as the other Razor forms.
As for going blade mode, I prefer Chapter 3's symmetrical design over Chapter 2's single blade.

Razor's never shown to be violent towards anyone but (you), and Spectre is one of the most level headed princesses, even willing to talk it out with someone who murdered her. Prisoner is chill with just sitting and staring at a wall for however long it takes stones to erode away and Damsel is just happy to be here. If Razor is murderous towards everyone or Damsel has no idea what to do with herself without (you), I could see Spectre not liking being constantly skewered unsuccessfully or Prisoner trying to watch paint dry while Damsel whines about where her dashing hero is.

Hilariously enough, I think it's more likely that spectre torments razor than the other way around. She's immune to being stabbed, if she doesn't want to deal with someone's bullshit she can just phase through the floor, and she likes long philosophical conversations while razor gets bored easily.

So adversary does everything she can to provoke tower, while tower talks down to her. They both think they would body the other if it came down to a fight, but they're actually pretty evenly matched.

Kind of ambivalent towards each other. Beast realizes that witch isn't really a threat to her, and witch realizes that beast doesn't really scheme or use underhanded tactics. So they spend most of their time hidden away from each other in their respective caves. Any conversations are usually initiated by witch, but they're usually short and hostile. Witch likes to get under peoples skin which is always met with some variant of "shut up" from beast.

Prisoner tries to stonewall damsel but damsel is too dense to truly catch on that prisoner just doesn't like her. Prisoner tells damsel very early on that she doesn't like small talk, so they just sit together in silence while damsel hums, which ruins the silence; and every 5 minutes she breaks the silence even further by asking if she's doing a good job not talking.

I think stranger makes nightmare uncomfortable. The best way I can describe it is that nightmare is an ironic schitzo while stranger is an unironic schitzo. Stranger never gives a consistent or logical reaction to anything. Since nightmares crutch is playing up her scariness, she just can't get a read on stranger and that leaves her on the backfoot. They don't hate each other though.

I always thought that when the walls started breaking down in the Wait ending with Prisoner feels like you could just pull off the chains' bases off the wall. I mean, if the stone is withering, then it should get weaker. The whole cabin basically collapsed, figures the wall where the chains are would too. If the Skeptic can force a change, I think he would've strongly complained that the wall behind them would erode too.
Also, where did the knife disappear to? If you look closely, it didn't get buried, the dirt piling up wasn't near enough to bury it. Truly a mystery. Or a plot hole.

I've only done Nightmare twice, so I haven't seen everything. That's interesting. In Prisoner's case, Skeptic argues that we should've starved or something, but the Princess is there, who DIDN'T starve to death, so that perception is nullified. Quite the deviation.

You need to get more endings.
More or less. That was essentially his main goal, regardless of any other concerns.
The Narrator is a guy from a universe thats about to die, and in a desperate gambit he creates a construct (and dies in the process) and infuses it with the concepts of Existence (The Long Quiet) and Change (The Shifting Mound).
Narrator tries to get LQ to kill SM in order to get rid of change (death in this case), and leaving just existance.
Now, Narrator can't act directly, because you need to exist in order to act, so he tries to convince you to do it.
Also, because LQ is sort of the avatar of existence, that explains why the Princess changes based on your perception of her.
So, if you kill SM, all thats left is existing. If LQ and SM leave together, you get existing with change (birthing a new universe out of the old).

Princess changes based on your perception of selfregardless of who you are, that's why the Narrator killed himself, he knew of the princess and his perception would affect her, so he had to die to maximize the chance of you killing her.

Doesn't sound normal. Only saves that get overridden automatically are the ones in the A (autosave) and Q (quicksaves) slots, and the latter only overrides the oldest save. So don't know what happened to you.

That's just one of four (six if you count minor variants). Leaving with her as a gods imply you're going back to the way you were; starting the cycle of life and death again.
What happens after that is vague, but should imply that things will start changing again; the current universe is either already on the verge of death, or will die in the future, but then a new one will be created from the death of the old one. And that one will die too, and another will ake its place.
In the Narrator's eyes, the eventuality of death of everything he knows horrifies him, and we have no idea if the universe is literally about to die, or is far from it. We don't get the benefit of concrete evidence.

Those resets only happen within the confines of the Construct; a fancy cage of you, the Princess, the woods and the Cabin. You'll learn a bit more about this if you ask the Narrator the correct questions as well as doing the Oblivion ending, though the most information comes from the first step of the ending, and the rest is only... emotional tragedy. Essentially, the small cage you are in resets every time (You) die; the Narrator needs you alive to make the Princess' death permanent. If you die, or you have voices with you that might interrupt your Good Ending, the results won't be as perfect as intended by the Narrator.

If you mean the Loop ending, it doesn't; the Mound effectively wipes everything clean perfectly; to the point of reconstructing the Construct; though mechanically, it's considered an ending. If you mean all the other endings where you leave or kill her, you awaken back into the universe, and your presence will affect it as you did before the events of the game, with or without her.

Oh alright. I'll be honest, there isn't much answer from the game either.
The mirror supposedly is the, or a major part of, the Construct. The Narrator is a part of it, and the voices are too (revealed in one of the princess paths); but the one thing that isn't is You. The body you see in the mirror is likely just a form that has been given to you by the Narrator, and it withering away represents your awakening to your true self. As to why it keeps re-appearing, sometimes in your way, is also possibly due to what another anon said; you are becoming aware of your real self. Why does the Narrator can't see it? Hard to say, as I said before, but I want to believe he is inside the mirror at all times, and he's not necessarily looking through your eyes. He describes what you can see, but not everything; it's possible he's just a really good liar, or he's using some sort of literal narrative device that only describes what you're SUPPOSED to see, and the Mirror is put into his active filter.
Reloading can have funky results on some dialogues, I've noticed. Strange that it's gone here though, I think it should at least be available one more time even if you've done the Damsel this run.
