I wouldn't call it more dated but it is more raw where a lot of things were allowed to be a lot stronger than they should, you will never be allowed to succ a whole mp bar away from an enemy with one hit ever again or just have 8 ability slots right from the start instead of them being artificially fed to you one at a time
>just have 8 ability slots right from the start instead of them being artificially fed to you one at a time
This was great as it rewarded you for sticking with demons. >demons level up >unlock skills >fuse two demons you've invested in >access to a full load out
Also the fact kamikaze like moves are never making a comeback and they were legitimately very strong and underused. I can bet not a single person in this thread has made a dedicated kamikaze demon and shame on you for that.

I've played both and still prefer wienerturne. V has a lot of balancing problems both in terms of combat, and demon availability. Also the way skill slots are unlocked in demon fusion is unnecessary padding.
Haven't played VV yet.
I'll admit I'd love nocturne more if it had reverse compendium fusion. I hate looking at online calculators and this thing alone makes the game more approachable. wish it could be modded into 3 somehow

What are you talking about SMTV and vengeance are piss poor easy. Nocturne is better and I am a SMTV apologist.

Nocturne is also piss easy. Put up three stacks of Sukukaja and if you want to be overkill then do Sukunda as well and literally nothing in the game can hit you ever. My Nocturne playthrough was even easier than both SMTV playthroughs.

I used to think Tomb Raider games were the hardest shit ever because I kept getting lost and had no idea where to go when I played them at like age 11.
I would download those text walkthroughs they used to have back then and just read my way through the games, trying to decipher what it wants me to do.

I do consider Nocturne harder than V but I don't see why difficulty is such a revered aspect of gaming. Like yeah you want a challenge, but so much of Nocturne's challenge comes from its volatility. I've beaten V several times but I'm perfectly okay with VV being made easier because there's no good argument for level scaling checking you out of strategies or enemies going first and deleting you before you can move.
Difficulty should always be a tool that creates space to engage the games systems, you don't want a game that's too easy because then your gameplay doesn't matter, but if it's too hard then you're pigeon holed into strategies. It's ridiculous how many people have come around to thinking that difficult is good in a vacuum.

A lot of Nocturne difficulty is random encounters fricking you over on your way to a save point.
Add random encounters to V, including magatsuhi demons that Freikugel EX your ass on the first turn and the game would be considered hard as well.
The save anywhere feature definitely made VV easier, for example. Removed a lot of tedium, sure, but on the other hand you're not really scared to go out anymore.

I mean yeah, of course. I'll say Nocturne is probably somewhat difficult if you don't know what you're doing just from the fact that the game does an absolutely trash job at informing the player sometimes. I can't imagine doing Str builds in Nocturne without knowing where the good Magatama skills are since a lot of the good physical skills aren't on magatama labeled as physical ones. Meanwhile V is pretty open about that so you can more effectively build your character.
Yeah Nocturne is unbalanced in a fun way. V is unbalanced in a shitty way that makes the game unfun to play.
>gameplaywise
V already better

In theory it's possible to do this exact same thing by level 78 if I planned out my build better, sorry bro extra preparations are needed when you have no pierce and you are doing at least 75% less damage than usual. But it is possible to beat lucifer on hard with magic and no pierce.

I am aware of the hypocrisy of everyone in that game, but god damn the character isn't all over the place.
the characters in nocturne are cool, isamu is super shut in autistic, chiaki is idk strong girl?, hikawa is typical law rep society guy, yoko is homosexual cop out PLS I JUST WANT THEM TO BE HAPPY!!!. their alignments are for more interesting than what V has.
I just beat the original version of V, going to buy the remaster now that it's only $40 instead of the huge $60 they were asking for at launch,I had the old PS3 release but my PS3 died after I beat Odin & the skeleton priest ;_;

If he's a Nahobino why doesn't he just create the new world by himself instead of waiting for Protag?
Because he realized the truth about the Memedala system and that he will just be part of the eternal cycle of death and rebirth. So he wants someone strong like the Beano to come and eat his Knowledge so that with the power of the Nahobino plus Transcendent Lucifer he will be able to free the world from Memedala. The Satan quest explains this.

Okay, so there is a way to make that fight less boring.
Would've been fun to try out but I didn't really want to grind from 72 to 90 just to be allowed into Shiva's boss arena. Feels kinda dumb they left that in after removing level scaling.
I held onto them but only had like 4 at the end.
I didn't do a lot of the sidequests and didn't do any grinding. Just wanted to mostly mainline it and then check some of that stuff out in a new cycle.
Yeah that'll do it. I guess part of it for me was that the achievement for doing 90 side quests apparently requires doing that on a single cycle. So I said frick it, I want to see endgame, I'll do it on another cycle.
I tried the bottom option and did fine until final phase. Then it one shot everyone and I didn't have enough damage to stop it. Well, I know what to do next time I try. Top option is a complete joke.
In Vengeance, a few demons like Pixie and Idun can step in and placate a demon if you make a wrong choice, but like SMTIV most negotiation abilities are just passive skills tied to Miracles. Ideally you'd have both options available with the demon talk skills being a band-aid for when you don't want to spend Glory on the Miracles.
Did any of you guys do "themed" playthrough? My CoV Chaos run was just actual demons, no angels or any "good" beings. My end game only had those new Qadistu prostitutes and Yoko in my team.
Why tf do the Doormat dogs at the beginning of the 3rd zone hurt so fricking much, they love spamming Axel Claw and always seem to get initiative despite me putting points into AGI. Sure they have low HP but they always come in pack of 4 and if you let even 2 of them live by the end of the first round, high chance they're gonna 1shot your squishier demons.
>struggling with boss in 'cturne
okay let me just change my party around real quick >struggling with boss in V
forced to grind, do sidequests and go look for little pink homosexuals and yellow balls
i felt this way too until watching a video of an only-mandatory-fights playthrough. for me it was yakumo, who gets way easier to manage if you combine taunt+tetrakarn. v also rubberbands exp gains if you're behind. basically, skill issue. also the nocturne speedrun has grinding in it
>look at genbu's skill auspicious beast >oh shit feng huang must have the same skill I should put them both in my active party. >feng huang doesn't have the same skill that's weird. >later in demon haunt feng haung says people usually mix him up wiyh suzaku and asks me to not do the same
Haha...
Tried him on hard, the best I could do was get him down to like ~80% health.
Now trying on Normal, best I can do is still only like ~65ish percent.
Megido Ark just does such an insane amount of damage. It hits harder based on how many party members are currently alive and fighting him, so if there's 4 alive it hits for around ~1500. If there's 3, it goes down to ~1200.
So basically the first couple turns I'm just facetanking with Enduring Soul and praying that he doesn't target the same member twice. Then when he's fully debuffed, I can tank a single hit from it, usually living with like 5 hp.
I'm kind of considering grinding out an Onyankopon and running his taunt + the skill that makes Nahobino always dodge but then I don't have the damage to kill the summons and he'll just perma full heal himself.
Yeah that sounds like some real shit. I don't know what the strat would be instead of farming incenses.
>mfw all the exp I'm getting from these mitama battles
Is there some dlc I forgot to disable, or is this part of the base game?
If you have the Mitama DLC it'll be on high by default. You should go into the options and change it to normal and then turn one to high if you really want a specific type of Mitama.
Yeah, I'm not too big a fan of the fight. I get the idea where you're supposed to target a specific demon so that you can manipulate his weaknesses by having him absorb the other demon and burst him down that way while also using AoE to keep the other demon low so he doesn't full heal, but that Megido Ark is fricking brutal and Bino can't really survive all the Megido Arks unless you jack up his Vitality sky-high or buff your defense/nuke his attack every time (unless he absorbs Hariti in which case lol time to restart).
Anyone else wish they didn’t include Canon of Creation? Many new players are going to ruin the game for themselves by going in blind and deciding not to take Yoko’s hand. The more I play this the more I see how it’s literally just a more cohesive and finished version of the game. Vanilla should’ve been left on the e-shop for the sake of preservation instead of deleting it and moving it to Vengeance where it feels like a tumor attached to the game.
Nope Canon of Creation is still important and necessary for the world building and story. Vengeance story is good but so was Creation. It was also their original vision of the game. I respect Atlus for defending it.
Yeah makes sense, the protagonist is not human any longer, right? Though I always felt the absolute best part of SMT is being able to tell everyone to frick off.
The increased mitama frequency, which was DLC in the original game, is active by default. You need to go into the options before the game starts and turn it off.
What would a no miracle strat even be. Support Nahobino so you don't need affinities, all into VIT, fuse very specific demons so that you don't need stock slots to consistently have the appropriate damage immunities? It seems like it'd actually be pretty easy up through the second daat but I'm not sure about going further than that.
Flyn and the samurais of mikados? Giga chad
Nanashi? Honorary Samurai
Demifiend? He punches demons to death
SMT 1 and 2? Literally that guy from the Akira movie
Soul Hackers? Badass, his gun is a laptop
Strange Journey? Why yes that is literally me
SMT V Persona? You (troony) homosexual MC, me giga SJ chad
I mean it is important, but you get so many free stats during levelups and you find plenty of sutras (or whichever is the beano one).
Stats in general aren’t as important as people make out. It helps but a good player with a good build is going to win whether he followed an autistic 2:1:1 split or just dumped everything into str.
I wiped the floor with him once I got access to 2nd tier elec spells, zionga or shockbound just tears him to shreds I'm not sure what level I was like 26 or so
I've been running an ailment/support build since vanilla and it's even better now than before. I wouldn't recommend pure support there just aren't enough support skills better to go hybrid with either magic or ailments.
>Do you have demons that abuse sleep or what?
Yeah I had a demon with charge and dream fist, it'd hit roughly as hard as freikugel EX. In retrospect if I was smarter I'd just level up sandman from the start to end of the game for that OP innate ability but I realized how strong it is too late. >How does it work on bosses?
You can usually land 2 ailments on bosses so you get 2-3 free turns where the boss just sits there unable to act, combine that with free dampener turns and you can just take no damage for several turns in a row. In fact I never had media or any kind of aoe healing spell until tao joined my party in taito that's how little damage I'm taking.
Anyone know what the new navigators are good for now?
I kind of want to try that but the ailments wearing off in one turn and then the boss just becoming immune to everything is discouraging me from trying it in another run.
I heard from someone that Agathion doesn't really specialize in anything, and from my testing, Nahobeeho seems to favor consumable items the most (gems primarily, but occasionally Sutras). He also seems location dependent so you'll get better stuff in Taito but not in Shinagawa.
I really gotta try this. >world of LUK >Accursed Poison >Hydra and other status demons
I'm just worried about endgame and postgame superbosses just telling me no.
I think in vanilla only lucifer says hard no to ailments, I got shiva sealed for several turns and it got me an easy win. Can't speak about vengeance I didn't get that far yet but there's a respec item so if ailments turn out to be a dud you can just spec into a str or magic. Ailment is the cheapest affinity glory wise so it shouldn't be too hard to go complete 180 on the luck build if it ends up whiffing against some superboss nonsense.
>Beat Lucifer >Watch credits >Load save before you beat Lucifer >Head back to Shinjuku and talk to Mastema >Satan opened
It looks like the game only checks to see if you beat a CoV route across all files and not that you've beat it in the same save.
Neutral is about believing in the potential of humanity, which Tao's route is all about. She's Neutral in all but name. Although according to the director all the routes (even the old True Neutral and Chaos) other than Destroy the Throne and the new Chaos are Law because you're still following the path of Creation.
>Neutral is about believing in the potential of humanity
Which boils down to believing in yourself since usually everyone else gets enticed in SMT games by some side. The angels literally try to appeal with logic, system and beauty and you have fallen for it.
A true neutral chad would have never made excuses like this.
Tao isn't enticed by any side, her character arc is considering all sides and coming up with her own opinion. I do admit that VV lacks the usual "frick everyone, I'm gonna do my thing" route, but I don't dislike it because that means both Tao and Yoko's endings feel like true endings (like true neutral, both have an epilogue, both can fight true Lucifer) instead of having an obvious right choice.
I’m only up to the fairy village so far, but I like how she’s a real character now. I always thought she was cute. Before vanilla came out I was curious about her, and figured she’d likely be the Isabeau of the game.
The thing is is that Tao is someone who was born and lived as a fully mortal human wearing a goddess like a spiritual meat suit. She completely dominated her mentally.
It's just a Tao-pilled version of True Neutral. I wouldn't really call it Law because she doesn't really enforce any rules.

He's not THAT bad, but he still created a world where winners enjoy and losers suffer which is what Yoko is against. He also betrayed her, thinking she was a threat to his reign and sealing her power away by turning her into a human.
> im at the fairy village and been pumping nothing but STR but i still dont hit that hard
Frick, I just started Shinagawa and think the same thing. Guess I should respec.
You'll be with Sakanagi for a long while until Taito where you get Murakumo and things really start to take off. You can mix and match a build until then. You can also put in other physical skills in the meantime with a Phys Pleroma or Critical Aura to fill in the gaps.
STR feels kind of weak and I'm almost certain it's related to the removal/nerfing of the level scaling. I haven't put a single manual point into strength and the dedicated strength demons don't even hit much harder (I tested 8 more damage, for having 15 more STR than me early on.) I feel like it might be a Nocturne situation where the level was super important for damage and then it got fricked from the combat retooling.
You're not the only guy I've seen complaining about that. I saw one guy talk about his rotation just being debuffs/healing despite being specced for Strength. You'll just have to soldier through until you unlock better attacks.
Hits my party for a shitload though.
is mostly levelling strength but throwing a bone to vit and luk good enough or do i really need to do the 1 or 2 stats stuff
Luck doesn't boost crits, at all. Vit is really good so if you don't want to be a supporter I'd just do 1:1 STR:VIT. Agility is not necessary either. Vit's nice because if you die, the game is over.
Could be something there for using the ailment+physical moves but eh
You are aware that the game has been out for five days? You’ve literally spent 50% of the time since the game came out playing it. That’s the opposite of taking it slow.

I try to complete all the compendium as I go.

>is anyone else going through the game really slow >or just me
Nope, it's not just you.
Then again, I'm going slow because... I've been taking walks from Tamachi to Nagatacho because walking across the Da'at grinding items and listening to music like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lcmIG-szB-o is super comfy.
This song sounds like the end of a long journey but is the toughest part of a climb, which I really like. It's also cool seeing all the gods essentially biding their time to try and steal the keys to take the Throne.
>the vengeance scenes with yakumo after nuwa dies >finding out from a bethel researcher that the only friends he ever had were demons and realizing that he truly did love nuwa
why does he suffer in every route
Critical is very good but anyone who genuinely thinks it's the best is completely giving away that they don't know what they're doing. In Vengeance especially you get value off of even old omagatokis way sooner than you did in the original.
Starts with +5 phys, easily can go to +9 with battle sutras, guaranteed crit, scales insanely well with phys plaeroma and crit zealot later you can use him to 99 no problem. It's no wonder he's everyone's top demon.
god damn that sounds nuts whats the earliest i can get him?

That's pretty good and here I was thinking I was abusing it using a demon that has the innate skill with a chance not to lose charge skills when they're used. Saved my ass on a couple of fights.
I had a hunch that Freikugal was secretly the best gauge skill. What are all the ways I can boost the damage? Rakunda... does tarakaja make it hit harder?
so whats the gameplan here? >activate succession >frick around for X amount of turns until meter is full >use freikugel or whatever other damage-based magatsuhi skill
would this even be worth it compared to murakumo spam?
I've been running an ailment/support build since vanilla and it's even better now than before. I wouldn't recommend pure support there just aren't enough support skills better to go hybrid with either magic or ailments.
It's a gimmick that only 'works' because he's running literally zero attacks.
>you consume the entire bar to use Omnipotent Succession though right? how do you get the bar back for Freikugel right after?
It's only applied to the first attack move that Bino does. That means if you pass your turn every time or use items/buffs, you can slowly stack it. >also, if you use Charge/Concentrate is the boost applied to all 4 hits?
Charge/Concentrate overwrite the effect
>you consume the entire bar to use Omnipotent Succession though right?
Yes >how do you get the bar back for Freikugel right after?
One of the new skills evergreen dance gives you roughly 1 turn worth of bar on use and it can be used once per turn and I have bought every single magatsuhi increasing miracle and I'm fishing for nulls repels crits everything to build bar back up as fast as possible.
>fighting nuwa and copper at the trap >copper lands a lucky critical with his elec slash attack and kills nahobino on the very first turn
lmao frick you game got to say though, I haven't ran into a boss fight yet that was as tough as the yuzuru/dog fight it was such a difficulty spike it was ridiculous
>start the game >kino voice over explaining what SMT is about >imagery shown is just high school homosexuals going to school instead of some cool shit
Why?
I guess you've never played an SMT game before then. 1,3,4 and 5 all start out chill because by the end everyone you see in those scenes is dead by your hands, fused with a demon or both.
This is my first SMT.
Now, I understand that older games would be harder but is that simply due to actually being hard or would that be because theres a harsher resource limitation?
For this game I had no problems with bosses after a first or second go on Hard.
But honestly, it was probably not because some sort of "lmao easy" but more of a "you have carry limit but no real HARD limit" on resources at all. You've got access to everything from hour 1 needed to take on pretty much every encounter.
This alone led me to not being afraid of using items like I am in almost every other rpg where I stock 30 elixirs or somas and dont even use them for the final boss.
Like for any boss you can just buy out the appropriate Null Item/Summon.
I really think that was something that kept me going in this game.
Does its predecessors provide such ease of mind in terms of summons/items their respective games? If so I would definitely go back and play them, as the only thing that holds me back from playing old jank rpgs are those "oh you missed x so you're going to have a hard time on y z and d" bs.
I cant believe im saying this but, im actually having fun.
Nocturne hard mode is gay solely because it triples shop prices or whatever
4/4A sucks because it gives enemies assloads of agility on the hardest difficulty which means you miss and lose two press turns and then they smirk and that's bad
i dunno who at atlus is pushing this car meme since p3r
i get that the idea is people value their convenience over other people and that much is true to an extent but it's clearly a japanese ass sentiment because their country isn't built around forced car use
Japs are a bit pure at heart but it comes off as full moron sometimes, they think commuting by train/legs is le more good for your soul then cars since you can interact with people more or something
Western societies like America would also vehemently reject the idea of changing away from cars though, like even if we got Electric Vehicles working to the same degree and affordability there'd still be a massive portion of the population who fights against moving away from them just like they do for fossil fuels/coal and renewables. Although I don't get why you're evaluating it so literally here when you've clearly understood the general idea out of it judging by the first part of your post, or why a Japanese game having a Japanese ass sentiment is a negative.
It’s a negative because it’s incredibly moronic and doesn’t hold up under scrutiny at all, it’s something I expect to read on the antiwork mod’s blog not in a goddamn apocalyptic video game
>doesn’t hold up under scrutiny at all
How so? The underlying ideas and how she claims people think are indeed true, we see that attitude all the time in the real world.
i would say Yoko expressed it better and it being japanese isn't really a negative outside of it just making people without the knowledge of their culture get confused, but Takaya whipping out that fact to try and pwn Door-kun was very clumsy and did not at all make him look like a hypocrite
Someone who's never experienced great public transport can't understand.
Plenty of people in Tokyo get by perfectly fine without a car. it's not the US where a car is required to live because you don't even get a sidewalk.
I live in a major Canadian city and most people still don't drive regularly up here. You don't have to go very far from the US before the attitude towards cars starts to change drastically.
This theres people that go there whole lives never using cars there and reach like 60+ years old. They seem to be completely fine with still using taxis, trains, busses etc.
The same way moonlight works. We call it moonlight, but it's really just sunlight reflecting off the moon. In the same way gods and demons get their powers from humanity. I have no idea what we're talking about.
Is Auspicious beast a strong passive
I somehow luckshitted my way into 3 of them with fusion accidents I could totally make a team of muh sacred beasts
Yeah, it technically falls off but it's such a late game scenario that you'll probably have replaced them in progression long before that becomes an issue. The passive is good and the beasts themselves are strong so you don't have to feel bad if you can only justify running one on a given fight.
I know but is there any demons in vv that has that feature I mention? Fuse that demon with a demon I want to get a stats, or am I stuck collecting gem for that gay homosexual at white city?
No you can't mitama roid your demons like in other games, the gem homosexual is your only option pay up for decarabia because I think only he finds gems.
Either gem hunting with Decarabia or you can go a more expensive route and fuse a high level and stat elemental demon and fuse that elemental demon into other demons to get higher stats from Miracles. The latter is much faster but you'll need millions of Macca and have to re-fuse all your demons.
No you can't mitama roid your demons like in other games, the gem homosexual is your only option pay up for decarabia because I think only he finds gems.
Miracles that transfer EXP/stats + Elements fusion back and forth iirc. Or something like that, definitely possible since I used Alice for all the endgame stuff in the original.
The Miracles you buy with Glory give you bonuses when fusing, like bonus stats and exp earned transfering when you fuse demons you used for a long time. iirc (and I am not sure I do) the basic idea is that you use Elements to fuse up and down the "Race" tree IE Femme Apsaras > Femme Parvati > Femme Apsaras
So, >grab the demon you want >fuse him with an element to go up or down the race tree >level up the result and gain the bonus stats/exp for doing it >fuse back to the original demon or further down the tree, some of the bonus stats will transfer if the fusion materials are above the base level of the resulting demon >level up the result again for the bonuses, fuse up or down again, repeat until the stats compound enough for you
This is significantly easier with the mitama DLC for obvious reasons, but possible in base game too.
So few people talk about this particular adjustment but I'm so fricking happy that they upped the amount of macca floating around the game. Holy fricking shit compendium costs in base V were absolutely killer. That release was not friendly to players who wanted to demon autism between the costs and the likelihood of you outlevelling your area if you went hard into demon fusion.
Huh, wonder if that's why Macca has been my primary limiting factor in CoC. I never got to play the original release, so I wanted to experience the base before jumping in to the new stuff. I'm in the second area and I've pretty much fused every new demon to pass along skills instead of negotiating with them and money is tight as frick. You're spot on about over leveling, too. I'll probably be pushing 32, maybe higher, by the time I earn enough money to fuse things, maybe even higher, and I just got past Loup-Garou.

I think most of the extra macca is universal between both routes, a large chunk of it is just because they increased the value of treasures coming out from vending machines, but there may be some sources tied up in quests or something unavailable in CoC.

They gave me 60k after Lahmu and another 15k shortly after that somewhere.

not applicable in 5 since repels deal trash damage but in og SJ if you build a team of slimes that repel elementals you can one shot mem aleph, in nocturne slimes also deal extra damage when you repel with them

I have a null-all Dagda. I think I did something similar with reverse fusions with Abaddon in Devil Survivor. I spent hours getting his Anti-Most skill onto strong demons. After that I can say that I do enjoy the QoL of fusion in V, even if I can go without it. I'll be doing some fusion autism for extra stats too

Never miss an opportunity to post my boy. IV is so easy you don't need it but it's fun to make.
you can probably get through the earlier parts of godborn without the 150 cap but i can imagine by da'at 2 it becomes really fricking hard
youre also locked out of recruiting demons at that point too, everything would need to come from the compendium which is arguably the harder part if you need to teambuild
I feel like Atlus has really nailed the SMT sound with the soundtracks. IV and V both sound similar to the music from I and II. Nocturne is an outlier sine Meguro did the soundtrack there, not to say that's bad at all, just different.
Yeah, nearly every song is really great but the main battle theme and end theme song felt really lazy. One just feels like its sped up and the other is some weird house remix, completely unfitting not only to the game but the mood/tone of the ending. I really expected it to be a rearrangement or extension of VV hallucination theme... oh well.
I'm a few levels short of using my gospels effectively to reach 99.
I never went out of my way to level before, is there an efficient way to get like 5 or so levels?
Don't know about about Vengeance, but in Vanilla you first went to the last dungeon to grind the maze area where all the enemies stood in rows, before the staircase section of the dungeon. Then once that no longer became viable, you were honestly better off going Mitama hunting for Grimoires.
I'm in Shinjuku now, and I remember having question when I was in the third area of the base game...when do you all stop fighting enemies? I'm 51 on the Bino and enemies here like the Ose's and Kaiwans don't give hardly any exp. Do you all just run through and collect things when exp gains for the MC slow?
>when do you all stop fighting enemies?
I've more or less stopped fighting normal enemies once I started second area around level 25ish, only engage them to refill bar or when trying to get recruits.
The base game was balanced around level scaling, so generally once you've done most things in an area you're already leveled up enough for the average game to beat the boss (with a few difficulty jump exceptions). There wasn't ever really a reason to grind random enemies at all, at least until endgame.
But there aren't enough stats in those 50 levels to match the enemy. You'd be lucky to get to 150 in one stat, not to mention all 5 of them.
Unless you get way more stats after level 100 I dunno.

you get 3 stats to allocate a level and 2 in every stat past 99

But what about the demons? Is it incense feeding time?

also 10 stats a level but more focused on their main stats
Is there any other way to get the stat reset item except at the set points where you're given one? I'm curious when you're truly locked into a build on the file.
i dont think so. i got 4 in my ng run

Then it seems kinda doable without THAT many issues.
Wish enemies got new movesets instead of just stats.

same but its nice to at least be able to play around with a full build against enemies that wont flop over
kinda regretting not farming up like 5 million macca for fusions before doing ng+ though, rewards from boxes and relic sale prices are the exact same in godborn

Well I dunno what to say anon maybe the mode is for one of those turbo autists that did NG+ so many times until their beano had 999 in every stat and they were able to solo demi fiend on hard and even I'm not that autistic.
Anonymous
I am pretty sure the mode is balanced around the MC spamming Chaotic Will like a jackass
you get 2 miracles, one that lets you recruit demons regardless of level and one that automatically makes all fused demons the average level of the party. i think the starting gameplay loop is to recruit every 150 demon then start fusing demons to raise your average level
as for beano though idk i dont have any gospels really
Yeah, and so would you. There's like a billion miracles that enhance stats and items too, you can effectively just give a demon 10-20 points minimum in each stat every time you fuse them. >I have to grind to beat the mode where the sole point is autistic grinding?
Well yeah.
>This is just beyond fricked. Normal enemies now have more stats than super bosses?
They do, and the super bosses have the most giga homie stats imaginable.
>hard mode >level 13 against the hydra >beat it first try with minimal difficulty
Is it meant to be so easy? My first time running a magic build, just spamming bufu and having a siren in my team made it a joke
Nocturne nostalgia is the silent hill 2 nostalgia of SMT. The one game that's drastically different from the rest of the mainline series that everyone played and so is considered the "canon" of the series.
Only press turn, really. Which, yeah, was a great addition.
SMTIV wasn't Nocturne inspired at all. SMTV did attempt to go for Nocturne nostalgia bait, but the core gameplay loop is still very different since it almost completely abandoned the corridor dungeons.
It's easiest to justify using these on a support demon that can be built with no weaknesses since you always need a support and making them tankier and have bigger mp pool is always a good thing. In base game I just dumped all of the incenses on Idun.
Redundancy matters. Idun is great as a backup. Anyways, Golden Apple wasn't good because of the heal. It's good because it's an early luster candy that can overheal you with an investment of one extra slot.
Think it might just mean tetrakarn/makarakarn not charge/concentrate.
Think tetrakarn counts for the "support" slot which is replaced by makarakarn or blocks if you cast those and charge/concentrate is the other slot that can also be overwritten.
>Use the Magatsuhi 4x attack ability >Buff and dance to fill Magatsuhi bar again >Use buffed Freikugel EX 4 times
This shit is busted, what other Magatsuhi skills are worth using to attack 4 times?
I've used 4x twilight wave against that lvl 99 abscess in taito, all four will go off even when it hits null phys. Big bang's probably better but I just didn't have a demon with that skill.
stuck on final boss. the dragon. how do i beat it. my team is lv 95 idun, cerebus, nahobino and dominion boosted with every piece of buff candy i found so far magic at 88 knows all the dmg stuff. i just dont do enough dmg. how do i beat the final 3 bosses?
just hit the one weak to phys over and over. as long as youre killing 1 head a turn youre outdamaging the heal even if it takes forever. make a figment slasher if you really wanna go overkill
use 1 element a turn, do not blow multiple elements at once or she will use her big attack faster, and do not use 0 elements or she will frick you up anyways
is there even a pattern to her fricking BS? i just brute forced her
2 weeks ago
Anonymous
yeah. after she uses her big attack she becomes weak to every single element. after getting hit by an element she becomes immune to it and also starts attacking with it. after she's nulled to all elements or if you don't hit with an element for a bit she uses her big attack which resets her element resists again. the intended way is just spamming through all the elements for damage every turn one at a time

Man that sounds like a real b***h compared to Mastema. Mastema is just a straight, he has two press turns but he gets extra press turns if you hit a weakness or critical him. As a magic build I just never hit his weaknesses but it's probably more of a pain for a physical build.
Music is good though.
I get the meming, but I have no idea how you're supposed to beat bosses on hard without dampeners, without gratuitous grinding. I beat hydra, on to the next fight.
By having at least one demon that nullifies the element?
By having block element skills?
By overhealing?
By just blocking?
I never use dampeners.
I will allow myself to use the block element skills though, because that requires a skill slot, proper turn management and MP costs.
There's no reason not to use dampeners when you can but the guard action mitigates enemy magatsuhi turns immensely. The important thing is your party composition. Hydra for example can be melted down in two or three turns with unlevelled demons if you bring Apsaras, Mermaid and Brute and just open with omagatoki potential. There's probably a leanan sidhe centric strategy too, but the key is that the side quest sets you up with a demon designed to counter him.
>People not using dampeners are just actively being moronic
They're baiting. No one has beaten this game without a single dampener.
Lots of cope going around because deep down you know you took the easy braindead way out.
At least have SOME self respect and use X block support skills on demons.
Properly use your demon affinities.
it's not that hard.
Hydra get fricked by daemon essence.
Nuwa get fricked by Sudama essence.
What else is there? For Fionn you need Oni essence and taunt and someone with fire Null.
It's not that hard at all.
Honestly all dampners should be as rare as phys dampners, possibly not purchasable at all auntil very late game.
On top of that, limit them to 1 per fight. That way it's a single get out of jail card, but doesn't trivialize the fight by allowing you to ignore everything else.
There's very few fights 3 dampeners can't trivialize.
>On top of that, limit them to 1 per fight. >There's very few fights 3 dampeners can't trivialize.
I would say 2 is the perfect middle ground. I agree 3 leans towards trivialization.
Early game you just block
by midgame you start getting demons that learn [element] block skills
late game you bring a demon that drains their attack and cuck them out of all their turns
I wonder how intensive the modding scene for Vengeance is going to get now that it's on PC. We can't expect a total conversion and I don't know how realistic it is to add new demons, but I'd really love to just see something as simple as a rebalance patch to give future runs longevity.
alright yall i built my tanky cerberus. please list more OP and fun / wacky builds for demons! and please hint at least how to obtain them or wehat skills to use. im excited to hear em 😀
So anyway, what happens to Miyazu in vengeance route? Like, she gets kidnapped and then randomly disappears when I checked the odaiba area before final boss.
This dog is fricking broken for when you get him >phys resist >easily fixable weakness >basically free taunt with 2 buffs >cheap as hell Diamrita >Heavy phys and elec nuke >free full hp revive
He carried me through bosses 6-7 levels above me with no issues
The funny thing is in the original game he's only available after you're locked into the chaos ending so he's a level 40 demon that you can get when everyone else is already level 80-90. I'm glad he finally gets a use because he was horrible in the original.
I played the switch version, should I start on a quick run of a canon of creation neutral run then NG+ newborn into vengeance? Its been a while since I played and I hear they even added new content to creation
Yes, really. That's why it's so fricking moronic that they removed the ability to choose to use the stock demon instead of registered one during fusion.
Speaking of which, does boon boost work on the apples or is it specifically for support spells and apples is a healing spell?

boon boost works with any buff/debuff regardless how it is applied, attack like fang breaker, healing like golden apple, even works with rasetsu/fairy doesn't matter it always works as long a buff or debuff is applied

It does. In base V and what I plan on doing for Vengeance is golden apple, both boon boosts, both heal pleromas, media, and then hamaon and a donum skill I guess.
id rather see a smt6, smt4's 2d demon sprites are very charming and it would be a lot more expensive to recreate all of those cool particle 2d png effects in 3D.
i wish there was a harder difficulty, hearing that normal got completely shafted in SMTVV is a shame. I sturggled a lot in normal back when i first played SMTV.
needs to be a harder difficulty, back when i played nocturne/IV/V i perceived normal as the "hard" diffuclty, but from reactions online it seems SMTVV's normal is too normal.
I’m thinking of respeccing into magic and I’m wondering if bino had some good new unique magic skills. Is that Paraselene Blur from the trailers phys or mag?
>beelzebubs innate makes his debuffs become full drops if there arent any angels or f*male demons in the party >run him with the qadistu because they arent femmes

thank frick. that was the worst part about ng+ in the base game
should i play nocturne?

Sure. Played it for the first time on switch and enjoyed it.
I love the visuals of Nocturne so much
Not really a fan of SMT5 trying to ape them, everything is too shiny
no
Its better than V.
Cool it with the nostalgiahomosexualry
lol no
both are anemic plot wise but let's not pretend nocturne feels a tad dated. I love them both as V is a continuation of the story though
I wouldn't call it more dated but it is more raw where a lot of things were allowed to be a lot stronger than they should, you will never be allowed to succ a whole mp bar away from an enemy with one hit ever again or just have 8 ability slots right from the start instead of them being artificially fed to you one at a time
>just have 8 ability slots right from the start instead of them being artificially fed to you one at a time
This was great as it rewarded you for sticking with demons.
>demons level up
>unlock skills
>fuse two demons you've invested in
>access to a full load out
Also the fact kamikaze like moves are never making a comeback and they were legitimately very strong and underused. I can bet not a single person in this thread has made a dedicated kamikaze demon and shame on you for that.
I'll admit I'd love nocturne more if it had reverse compendium fusion. I hate looking at online calculators and this thing alone makes the game more approachable. wish it could be modded into 3 somehow
>I would love Nocturne if it was a worse game for moron babies
Die
I can’t believe anyone can honestly be against reverse compendium fusion. It’s just impossible for you to actually be this much of a bilious c**t.
>"QoL" all the game out of your game
>HOW COULD ANYONE NOT LIKE THIS??
Rng isn't gameplay Black person, especially when there's no lose state for it. At that point it's useless padding to keep grinding for a good demon
I've played both and still prefer wienerturne. V has a lot of balancing problems both in terms of combat, and demon availability. Also the way skill slots are unlocked in demon fusion is unnecessary padding.
Haven't played VV yet.
Uh Nocturne has way worse balance issues than V dude
What are you talking about SMTV and vengeance are piss poor easy. Nocturne is better and I am a SMTV apologist.
Nocturne is also piss easy. Put up three stacks of Sukukaja and if you want to be overkill then do Sukunda as well and literally nothing in the game can hit you ever. My Nocturne playthrough was even easier than both SMTV playthroughs.
Every singe fond "so hard game" memory comes from being a child when playing it and not understanding how shit works.
I bet smtv is hard for a 12 year old as well.
i thought FFX was really hard because i was used to level ups and barely touched the sphere grid cause i thought it was gay so this checks out
I used to think Tomb Raider games were the hardest shit ever because I kept getting lost and had no idea where to go when I played them at like age 11.
Meanwhile V is pretty open about that so you can more effectively build your character.
>nocturne gay complaining about balancing problems in v
You have to be kidding me. Are you serious?
Yeah Nocturne is unbalanced in a fun way. V is unbalanced in a shitty way that makes the game unfun to play.
Didn't know Todd Howard worked at atlus too
>V is unbalanced in a shitty way that makes the game unfun to play
What's wrong with it?
>Did you go through the TDE WITHOUT physical build and pierce??? LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO YOU LOST
Magic is fricking worthless in Nocturne.
<----- is right
>Magic is fricking worthless in Nocturne.
t. someone who never used magic in nocturne
Fight Lucifer on hard without grinding using only magic and no Dante/Raidou
the other guy already posted how good magma axis is but it's also worth mentioning how insane tornado is and for how long, even with no mag investment
>Magic is fricking worthless in Nocturne.
lol
>Did you go through the TDE WITHOUT physical build and pierce???
Yes.
See pierce anywhere b***h boi? That's what I thought.
Oh shit forgot screenshot but fortunately here you go
Is everyone playing Nocturne required by law to use Daisojou?
Daisoujou is just an extremely overtuned demon in nocturne. his MP drain makes him the best support all round
There are only like 4 demons that can replace him and they're all kinda pain to build and daisobrou just happens to be there so yes, he's insanely good.
In theory it's possible to do this exact same thing by level 78 if I planned out my build better, sorry bro extra preparations are needed when you have no pierce and you are doing at least 75% less damage than usual. But it is possible to beat lucifer on hard with magic and no pierce.
It's possible but its gay as frick and a waste of time. Thus, making it fricking useless.
>level 88
You didnt beat the game
>gameplaywise
V already better

V has characters ranging from tolerating to Waifu tier. In 3, everyone is an edgy moronic homosexual that hate you and use you. Even Lucifer that everyone Nocturnegay jerk off to ignore the part you became his wienersleeve in his ending

Easily the worst that handle it. Law is shit. Freedom/Neutral is just there, Chaos True is being Lucy's wienersleeve. Chaos is the only one that seem the most logical.
My game keeps crashing after the Lamhu fight post cut scenes and I cant save. Going to try deleting all my mods and then retry again.

I am aware of the hypocrisy of everyone in that game, but god damn the character isn't all over the place.
>chiaki
I named her sarah, also how weird is it hearing actual voices compared to the PS2 version
the characters in nocturne are cool, isamu is super shut in autistic, chiaki is idk strong girl?, hikawa is typical law rep society guy, yoko is homosexual cop out PLS I JUST WANT THEM TO BE HAPPY!!!. their alignments are for more interesting than what V has.
Imagine being the most chaos focused game while also having the dullest interpretation of a chaos route

I just beat the original version of V, going to buy the remaster now that it's only $40 instead of the huge $60 they were asking for at launch,I had the old PS3 release but my PS3 died after I beat Odin & the skeleton priest ;_;
random encounters feels so fricking god awful to begin with and if you've already played persona or other smt games without random encounters its gonna feel 100x worse
call me a homosexual but i love the old school feeling of random encounters, they add a dumb layer of difficulty to games

me too
Random encounters only work when ambushes aren't guaranteed death.

>Steam version of nocturne and VV will never be cracked
Why does the scene hate anime?
It's filled with trannies
Yes, but don't step into the final tower before you've finished the fifth layer. Trust me, worst mistake I've ever made.
Finished CoV Chaos route today. Why did Lucifer turn into Gundam?
Because he did that in vanilla SMTV as well. And the in-universe reason is because he absorbed YHVH's knowledge.
He became a Nahobino because he fused with YHVH's Knowledge after defeating him. He became Neutral-Neutral, being the biggest chaosgay amerging with the biggest lawgay
>Dagda's combo skill with Danu restores all press turns

I'm presuming the top option is the normal final boss and the bottom option is the new final boss fully powered up?
How'd you get that option, what route are you on?
bottom option makes the final boss level 99
nta but i think you get it by doing shiva? i got it on v-law after beating up shiva
Gotcha, thanks anon. Looks like I'll pick the bottom one then.
Like the other anon said, I beat up Shiva. I also beat up Demi-Fiend, but I imagine that's not a prerequisite and him joining as a guest character is the reward.
yeah i didnt do demi fiend. saving him for godborn since i did his fight on old v. probably shiva is the trigger
Okay, so there is a way to make that fight less boring.
Would've been fun to try out but I didn't really want to grind from 72 to 90 just to be allowed into Shiva's boss arena. Feels kinda dumb they left that in after removing level scaling.
bro your gospels? i held onto them till the end and went straight to 99 along with my demons through the statues
I held onto them but only had like 4 at the end.
I didn't do a lot of the sidequests and didn't do any grinding. Just wanted to mostly mainline it and then check some of that stuff out in a new cycle.
that's probably why then. i did every side quest
Top option is a complete joke.
the biggest thing i miss from nocturne is negotiation skills on demons. i dont know why they stopped doing that
In Vengeance, a few demons like Pixie and Idun can step in and placate a demon if you make a wrong choice, but like SMTIV most negotiation abilities are just passive skills tied to Miracles. Ideally you'd have both options available with the demon talk skills being a band-aid for when you don't want to spend Glory on the Miracles.
What if his name was Fionn McDonald's, that would be funny I think.
Not even a footgay but Anahita has some high quality grippers. Also she says that if a man is ugly but capable it's a hard pass.
Sure they have low HP but they always come in pack of 4 and if you let even 2 of them live by the end of the first round, high chance they're gonna 1shot your squishier demons.
as a nocturne nostalgiatard i wish more nocturne nostalgiatards could come to terms with that being who they are already
Nocturne fans are mentally ill
>struggling with boss in 'cturne
okay let me just change my party around real quick
>struggling with boss in V
forced to grind, do sidequests and go look for little pink homosexuals and yellow balls
The scaling in 5 is gone now, moron-kun. I haven't grinded even once when faced with a boss I was struggling with, only messed with my party setup.
>took five years for atlus to make combat slightly less shit
SMTV is 2.5 years old.
i felt this way too until watching a video of an only-mandatory-fights playthrough. for me it was yakumo, who gets way easier to manage if you combine taunt+tetrakarn. v also rubberbands exp gains if you're behind. basically, skill issue. also the nocturne speedrun has grinding in it
>look at genbu's skill auspicious beast
>oh shit feng huang must have the same skill I should put them both in my active party.
>feng huang doesn't have the same skill that's weird.
>later in demon haunt feng haung says people usually mix him up wiyh suzaku and asks me to not do the same
Haha...
u r dum
so to fight stan on NG i just need to beat the final boss, reload save and beat the final boss again?
paw
>one asshurt nocturnegay keeps shitposting
seethe
Megaten combat should have some "jank" to it. Its fun.
megaten combat should feel like a bullying arms race
JFC Satan is fricking impossible lmao
Guess I need to go speedrun through CoC to get Masakado because I either
>can't deal enough damage to kill his summons
>deal enough damage but too many people get oneshot by Megido Ark and I lose by attrition
What level are you and your demons?
I'm pretty far off attempting him but I'm curious if it's assumed your team should be at the level cap?
Mostly 99, gave them a bunch of health incense + vit incense as well.
Yeah, pretty stacked team. What difficulty?
Another game another absurd Satan secret boss fight.
He really wasn't trying in 4A was he, considering his usual track record.
The Vengeance story (both routes) is a sequel to the original's True Neutral.
If a new player is such a fricking moron that they don't do both routes and base their impressions on the single route they've played, that's on them.
Nope Canon of Creation is still important and necessary for the world building and story. Vengeance story is good but so was Creation. It was also their original vision of the game. I respect Atlus for defending it.
Nope never keep that out
SMT devs should listen Persona fans more
Can I kill this homosexual? I will buy it immediately if I can kill him. Hated this Black person in Strange Journey so much.
At least on Chaos route you can.
Chaos was the devils and neutral was human, right? Don't know if I want to play twice trough the game since I always do neutral first.
In Vengeance, there is no neutral route, so you can run through Chaos to kill him.
Yeah makes sense, the protagonist is not human any longer, right? Though I always felt the absolute best part of SMT is being able to tell everyone to frick off.
The protag is still partly human. Nahobinos are fusions of humans with Knowledge and demons, and they can separate at will it looks like.
He at least kills himself in Law in the Satan Quest.
am I supposed to be doing the side quests and shit
>mfw all the exp I'm getting from these mitama battles
Is there some dlc I forgot to disable, or is this part of the base game?
I think mitama dance is on by default, if you have it
Mitama seem more common in Vengeance.
The increased mitama frequency, which was DLC in the original game, is active by default. You need to go into the options before the game starts and turn it off.
If you used any miracles you didn't beat the game.
I just bought it. All DLCs are just cheats, right?
SMTV/ VV are the worst SMT.
e a s i l y
No excuse to make a game this shitty in 2025
why does the main character look like a woman and hold a purse? is she gay coded or trans coded?
All japanese male protagonists look like huge homosexuals for the past 40 years but suddenly it's a problem because trannies say so.
I've never legitimately thought any other protagonist was a woman and was surprised when I found out it was supposed to be a dude tho???
Flyn and the samurais of mikados? Giga chad
Nanashi? Honorary Samurai
Demifiend? He punches demons to death
SMT 1 and 2? Literally that guy from the Akira movie
Soul Hackers? Badass, his gun is a laptop
Strange Journey? Why yes that is literally me
SMT V Persona? You (troony) homosexual MC, me giga SJ chad
All literal homosexuals except for Strange Journey gigachad.
Only the SMTV MC is a homosexual, literally, Nahobino face is a girl face.
What a disaster of a game.
Is SMTV a return to form or is it a magicuck game like IV? Am I gonna regret dumping all my points into strength?
It's a personacuck game
It's like Nocturne where Magic is more consistent while Strength has an okay start to being extremely strong in the lategame.
>V is a STR game like Nocturne.
Hell yeah, time to leave humanity behind.
4 MITAMAS CMON
you will only regret putting points into agility all other stats are fine
Oh frick, is Agility a trash stat? I thought it'd be important, especially in Hard mode and the accuracy frickery.
I mean it is important, but you get so many free stats during levelups and you find plenty of sutras (or whichever is the beano one).
Stats in general aren’t as important as people make out. It helps but a good player with a good build is going to win whether he followed an autistic 2:1:1 split or just dumped everything into str.
You get 3 items to respec your stats.
V is a STR game like Nocturne.
IV was a Dex game though
IV was Strange Journey THOUGH
Matador wiped me the frick out at lvl 21, when do I go back to him?
I wiped the floor with him once I got access to 2nd tier elec spells, zionga or shockbound just tears him to shreds I'm not sure what level I was like 26 or so
Level scaling isn’t really a thing anymore. Identify what killed you, and get demons and skills to counter it.
15 levels later when you remember he exists
The game just looks good, the style is good. It looks better than all the other JRPG shovelware.
Beating Shiva before the final lock in Vengeance is all you need to fight True Lucifer.
Why'd you save a lower res version of
Did you import a save
I beat Shiva but I'm in Creation. If that doesn't do it then I will Safety that ass in my next Vengeance run
I've really gotta try the support Nahobino on my second run. Saw Inflaming Divinity last night and it looks crazy.
I've been running an ailment/support build since vanilla and it's even better now than before. I wouldn't recommend pure support there just aren't enough support skills better to go hybrid with either magic or ailments.
Do you have demons that abuse sleep or what?
How does it work on bosses?
The bear also has it
Anyone know what the new navigators are good for now?
I kind of want to try that but the ailments wearing off in one turn and then the boss just becoming immune to everything is discouraging me from trying it in another run.
I heard from someone that Agathion doesn't really specialize in anything, and from my testing, Nahobeeho seems to favor consumable items the most (gems primarily, but occasionally Sutras). He also seems location dependent so you'll get better stuff in Taito but not in Shinagawa.
I really gotta try this.
>world of LUK
>Accursed Poison
>Hydra and other status demons
I'm just worried about endgame and postgame superbosses just telling me no.
I think in vanilla only lucifer says hard no to ailments, I got shiva sealed for several turns and it got me an easy win. Can't speak about vengeance I didn't get that far yet but there's a respec item so if ailments turn out to be a dud you can just spec into a str or magic. Ailment is the cheapest affinity glory wise so it shouldn't be too hard to go complete 180 on the luck build if it ends up whiffing against some superboss nonsense.
I think Satan punishes you every time someone tries to apply status ailment on him.
vengeance's superboss has a passive that fricks you up if you try landing an ailment on him
That skill is good to have regardless until you have Luster Candy on your demons. I’m using it along with Charge for my strength build right now.
Is accursed poison still broken against bosses
Got nerfed in VV.
Accursed Poison inflicts a random ailment now instead of Seal. I think it's stronger against normal mobs but it's weaker against bosses.
Now that the dust has settled, was not doing a Neutral route actually a good idea?
I'm glad I didn't listen people who said I need to do CoC route first to unlock some shit in CoV.
wait you don't have to?
No, there's a silly cheat to get it done in a single playthrough, even.
bro you cant say that and then not tell me...
>Beat Lucifer
>Watch credits
>Load save before you beat Lucifer
>Head back to Shinjuku and talk to Mastema
>Satan opened
It looks like the game only checks to see if you beat a CoV route across all files and not that you've beat it in the same save.
Elaborate please
The law route is already pretty neutral anyway. I trust her.
Feeling like this is literally supposed to be the appeal of law route. Neutral is only trusting in yourself.
That sounds more chaos to me
I’m only up to the fairy village so far, but I like how she’s a real character now. I always thought she was cute. Before vanilla came out I was curious about her, and figured she’d likely be the Isabeau of the game.
"mankind governed by supernatural entities and not mankind" is very not neutral
The thing is is that Tao is someone who was born and lived as a fully mortal human wearing a goddess like a spiritual meat suit. She completely dominated her mentally.
that just makes her sound like a more law version of beano's true neutral ending where he's just hands off for the most part
It's just a Tao-pilled version of True Neutral. I wouldn't really call it Law because she doesn't really enforce any rules.
All this time the only thing YHWH needed to do to be popular instead of hated was be a cute japanese school girl that's nice to everyone
To be fair, the God of Law doesn’t sound like a bad guy compared to YHVH from IV. His angels like Abdiel can be dicks, but they’re just chickens running around with their heads cut off now that he’s dead.
He's not THAT bad, but he still created a world where winners enjoy and losers suffer which is what Yoko is against. He also betrayed her, thinking she was a threat to his reign and sealing her power away by turning her into a human.
Neutral is a boring fricking reset ending in 90% of the games. SMT2 is basically just a big frick you to neutralgays.
Smt was a frickyou to neutral and lawgays. The chaos route had very little narrative downsides
>beat Satan in Safety
>unlock level 150
>return to kick his ass in Hard with level 150 demons
NOTHING PERSONNEL, SATAN
how the frick do I beat demi fiend he keeps insta killing me. frick me please help
I can't even force my way through this fight by grinding
>can't kill khonsu on your cov chaos route
why? i want to kill that piece of shit
if you didn't play through the whole game using slime's elemental essence you didn't beat the game
Whenever I pass over that one in the essence list I imagine that somebody is probably going to use that for a challenge run.
Why are some angels robotic like Metatron and Sandalphon? They look cool as hell compared to gays like Mastema.
Because his name ends with -tron
They have no free will and serve the lord blindly, hence the robot theme.
Mastema is a scheming c**t, hence why he doesn't have the robot aesthetic.
is mostly levelling strength but throwing a bone to vit and luk good enough or do i really need to do the 1 or 2 stats stuff
Luck seems like a waste except for ailments.
iirc doesn't it also make enemies less likely to crit you
when the frick does the STR build come online? im at the fairy village and been pumping nothing but STR but i still dont hit that hard
> im at the fairy village and been pumping nothing but STR but i still dont hit that hard
I'm at end game and doing 5k crits with Akashic Arts physical attack. Not sure if that's good or not. My stats are all over the place.
Luck doesn't boost crits, at all. Vit is really good so if you don't want to be a supporter I'd just do 1:1 STR:VIT. Agility is not necessary either. Vit's nice because if you die, the game is over.
Could be something there for using the ailment+physical moves but eh
is anyone else going through the game really slow
or just me
I finished CoV Chaos route in 60 hours.
You are aware that the game has been out for five days? You’ve literally spent 50% of the time since the game came out playing it. That’s the opposite of taking it slow.
i am a frequent spammer of the demon haunt and fuse every demon so yes
I'm at the last area but it'll probably be another 40 hours before I beat the game because I need to do my autismo minmax fusions
I'm at 12.5 hours and I'm not even out of the first area yet....
I'm 40 hours in and just got the second leyline in area 3.
A lot of it was just staring at the compendium and contemplating fusions though.
I try to complete all the compendium as I go.
I played vanilla V and I wanted to complete the Vengeance route before Elden Ring.
I'll be doing extra cycles though and taking more time on those. I'd have taken my time more if I had planned to stop after one ending.
ER DLC is short as frick compared to this game.
You can take a 2-3 days off and finish the DLC then come back.
That's what I'm doing, I finished the CoV route in 50 hours, taking a break tomorrow for Elden Ring playing it slowly and then I'm back to Vengeance for the rest of the routes.
i'm 28 hours in and just got to the fairy village on the original route
>original route
why would you do that to yourself
i wanted to see what everyone was complaining about
I'm still far behind because I keep visiting my dog waifu at the haunt and going full fusion autism
>is anyone else going through the game really slow
>or just me
Nope, it's not just you.
Then again, I'm going slow because... I've been taking walks from Tamachi to Nagatacho because walking across the Da'at grinding items and listening to music like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lcmIG-szB-o is super comfy.
holy based, best overworld track by far
I disagree
This song sounds like the end of a long journey but is the toughest part of a climb, which I really like. It's also cool seeing all the gods essentially biding their time to try and steal the keys to take the Throne.
To this day, I have yet to use any of the Fallen race. And I only used the Oni's once and it was the original Oni.
Halphas was pretty nice when I got him.
>GTX 1650 Super 4GB
Will it run well bros?
Why can't we have a game where you play as the cool guys for once and not some schoolchild?
Dante from the devil may cry series is cooler
>Raidou 3 never because of China and Korea autism
Thanks I guess...
>the vengeance scenes with yakumo after nuwa dies
>finding out from a bethel researcher that the only friends he ever had were demons and realizing that he truly did love nuwa
why does he suffer in every route
Self inflicted moronation is the fate of all "might makes right" smt characters
If you use omnipotent succession it will work with any attack based magatsuhi skill repeating it 4 times. Just saying.
b-but critical is the best Magatsuhi!
Critical is very good but anyone who genuinely thinks it's the best is completely giving away that they don't know what they're doing. In Vengeance especially you get value off of even old omagatokis way sooner than you did in the original.
>Yoshitsune
why does everyone run this guy?
>8 random Physical hits which are guaranteed crits and the enemy is unlikely to dodge them due to his high Agility at this stage
god damn that sounds nuts whats the earliest i can get him?
level 45
Starts with +5 phys, easily can go to +9 with battle sutras, guaranteed crit, scales insanely well with phys plaeroma and crit zealot later you can use him to 99 no problem. It's no wonder he's everyone's top demon.
This would only ever work with your stalling vitality build, but it's neat.
Rakunda... does tarakaja make it hit harder?
so whats the gameplan here?
>activate succession
>frick around for X amount of turns until meter is full
>use freikugel or whatever other damage-based magatsuhi skill
would this even be worth it compared to murakumo spam?
This is his build
It's a gimmick that only 'works' because he's running literally zero attacks.
you consume the entire bar to use Omnipotent Succession though right? how do you get the bar back for Freikugel right after?
also, if you use Charge/Concentrate is the boost applied to all 4 hits?
>you consume the entire bar to use Omnipotent Succession though right? how do you get the bar back for Freikugel right after?
It's only applied to the first attack move that Bino does. That means if you pass your turn every time or use items/buffs, you can slowly stack it.
>also, if you use Charge/Concentrate is the boost applied to all 4 hits?
Charge/Concentrate overwrite the effect
>you consume the entire bar to use Omnipotent Succession though right?
Yes
>how do you get the bar back for Freikugel right after?
One of the new skills evergreen dance gives you roughly 1 turn worth of bar on use and it can be used once per turn and I have bought every single magatsuhi increasing miracle and I'm fishing for nulls repels crits everything to build bar back up as fast as possible.
Imagine the potential applications.
what's been the hardest non-superboss for you guys? for me it's Hayataro and Atsuta weirdly enough.
NormalBlack folk / DLCels need not respond
>fighting nuwa and copper at the trap
>copper lands a lucky critical with his elec slash attack and kills nahobino on the very first turn
lmao frick you game got to say though, I haven't ran into a boss fight yet that was as tough as the yuzuru/dog fight it was such a difficulty spike it was ridiculous
yes i am playing on hard
>start the game
>kino voice over explaining what SMT is about
>imagery shown is just high school homosexuals going to school instead of some cool shit
Why?
I guess you've never played an SMT game before then. 1,3,4 and 5 all start out chill because by the end everyone you see in those scenes is dead by your hands, fused with a demon or both.
The giant penis demon keeps piercing me.
Resource management is stricter in past games. Stuff like MP healing items and money were much tighter.
the only game where i really felt tight on resources was mp recovery items in smt 4a
frick mp in that game
Nocturne hard mode is gay solely because it triples shop prices or whatever
4/4A sucks because it gives enemies assloads of agility on the hardest difficulty which means you miss and lose two press turns and then they smirk and that's bad
yoko is LITERALLY me
frick the world kill em all
i dunno who at atlus is pushing this car meme since p3r
i get that the idea is people value their convenience over other people and that much is true to an extent but it's clearly a japanese ass sentiment because their country isn't built around forced car use
Takaya is actually supposed to just be a pessimistic hypocrite to be fair.
They seem to be completely fine with still using taxis, trains, busses etc.
neat
>500 Macca per Glory
That's pretty cool. Is that NG+ or after unlocking all the Miracles?
im in ng+ godborn. not sure which of those two unlocked the option. didnt get all the miracles beforehand
How does human route even make sense? There are no powerful humans in SMT. In the end they still all use demon powers.
Demons are a human product, they're just using them to get rid of their mistake.
I don't know, test it and report back.
Yeah, it technically falls off but it's such a late game scenario that you'll probably have replaced them in progression long before that becomes an issue. The passive is good and the beasts themselves are strong so you don't have to feel bad if you can only justify running one on a given fight.
Does anyone have that fatlus paint meme where you see an extremely gay bino on screen and the fatlus dude lets out a tear saying it's beautiful
I remember mitama being that demon that you can fuse with any demon and that demon get a stats boost. Is there something similar here?
mitamas are now enemies that you fight and they drop a bunch of powerful boosters for your demons or money
I know but is there any demons in vv that has that feature I mention? Fuse that demon with a demon I want to get a stats, or am I stuck collecting gem for that gay homosexual at white city?
No you can't mitama roid your demons like in other games, the gem homosexual is your only option pay up for decarabia because I think only he finds gems.
>>pay up for decarabia
>he doesn't know
you can't make him work for free in vengeance, I tried
I just got a diamond with Sukuna-Hikona as my navigator
Either gem hunting with Decarabia or you can go a more expensive route and fuse a high level and stat elemental demon and fuse that elemental demon into other demons to get higher stats from Miracles. The latter is much faster but you'll need millions of Macca and have to re-fuse all your demons.
I guess it's gem hunting them. Thank.
What about this?
nvm I'm moronic i thought he was selling glory
Nah it's a super lategame use for Glory once you have every Miracle.
Miracles that transfer EXP/stats + Elements fusion back and forth iirc. Or something like that, definitely possible since I used Alice for all the endgame stuff in the original.
Can you elaborate on this? Does it remove all the bonus stat my demon got after I gift that demon a dozen gift boxes?
The Miracles you buy with Glory give you bonuses when fusing, like bonus stats and exp earned transfering when you fuse demons you used for a long time. iirc (and I am not sure I do) the basic idea is that you use Elements to fuse up and down the "Race" tree IE Femme Apsaras > Femme Parvati > Femme Apsaras
So,
>grab the demon you want
>fuse him with an element to go up or down the race tree
>level up the result and gain the bonus stats/exp for doing it
>fuse back to the original demon or further down the tree, some of the bonus stats will transfer if the fusion materials are above the base level of the resulting demon
>level up the result again for the bonuses, fuse up or down again, repeat until the stats compound enough for you
This is significantly easier with the mitama DLC for obvious reasons, but possible in base game too.
What about special fusion demons? I'd like to bring anahita to endgame
you can take pretty much any demon to endgame besides like slime because his weaknesses fricking suck and are too hard to cover
I saw some anon with a fully NULL everything slime post a screenshot here.
Not sure what he's doing with him, but still
i kneel
not applicable in 5 since repels deal trash damage but in og SJ if you build a team of slimes that repel elementals you can one shot mem aleph, in nocturne slimes also deal extra damage when you repel with them
I have a null-all Dagda.
>Dragon Quest Monster Joker's Gem Slime if he SMT
>unlocking 150 level cap costs 999 glory
Can you even challenge Godborn difficulty without this? Isnt every single demon in that mode level 150?
you can probably get through the earlier parts of godborn without the 150 cap but i can imagine by da'at 2 it becomes really fricking hard
youre also locked out of recruiting demons at that point too, everything would need to come from the compendium which is arguably the harder part if you need to teambuild
gotta say, the music in this game is really exceptional. who is responsible for it.
Ryota Kozuka, the same one who did SMTIV/A's OST. Some people love that one, but I prefer his work here.
I feel like Atlus has really nailed the SMT sound with the soundtracks. IV and V both sound similar to the music from I and II. Nocturne is an outlier sine Meguro did the soundtrack there, not to say that's bad at all, just different.
Even Nocturne is pretty different from Meguro's usual slop. It's closer to the soundtracks of IV and V than it is stuff like Raidou or Persona.
Vanilla SMTV also had great music but holy frick t he battle themes in this game are like, SMT 1 ginza tier
But now you have the chain battles mechanic that give more exp and money
those only happen if you jump into a pile of enemies, which falls off as you get higher level anyway
I try to fight every type of enemy at least once, but the I just run past most, because I'm already overleved as is from all the sidequests I'm doing.
im dealing almost no damage in this mode, not sure if i should just be instantly leveling everyone to 150 or what
Use a Spyglass, I'm curious to see what enemy stats are like.
that fight's done but heres a random cait sith's stats
lmao
How much do they expect you to grind?
>How much do they expect you to grind?
Approximately until you hit 150 yourself.
Is it incense feeding time?
also 10 stats a level but more focused on their main stats
i dont think so. i got 4 in my ng run
Then it seems kinda doable without THAT many issues.
Wish enemies got new movesets instead of just stats.
same but its nice to at least be able to play around with a full build against enemies that wont flop over
kinda regretting not farming up like 5 million macca for fusions before doing ng+ though, rewards from boxes and relic sale prices are the exact same in godborn
>rewards from boxes and relic sale prices are the exact same in godborn
Oh that's straight fricked. Wonder if the same goes for the Mitamas.
Do you want to see slimes at the beginning shooting severe almighty spells at you?
Is there any other way to get the stat reset item except at the set points where you're given one? I'm curious when you're truly locked into a build on the file.
Well I dunno what to say anon maybe the mode is for one of those turbo autists that did NG+ so many times until their beano had 999 in every stat and they were able to solo demi fiend on hard and even I'm not that autistic.
Thank you.
Good lord that Cait Sith is ripped as shit. What difficulty did you choose to go with Godborn.
im on hard
This is just beyond fricked. Normal enemies now have more stats than super bosses?
Yeah, and so would you. There's like a billion miracles that enhance stats and items too, you can effectively just give a demon 10-20 points minimum in each stat every time you fuse them.
>I have to grind to beat the mode where the sole point is autistic grinding?
Well yeah.
>I have to grind to beat the mode where the sole point is autistic grinding?
Wtf people said I should play hard mode.
>This is just beyond fricked. Normal enemies now have more stats than super bosses?
They do, and the super bosses have the most giga homie stats imaginable.
I can't believe that a fricking Beelzebub has best battle music.
He has the best battle music in Nocturne too though?
DDS really dropped the ball with reusing nocturne's big boys for bosses and not reusing their music too
Mara comes pretty close for me but that's probably because I kept trying to fight him underlevelled and it's drilled into my brain.
Its amazing
Damn its so happy
i actually feel its quite fitting, it gives the feeling of mockery which i can totally see a fricking fly doing
>hard mode
>level 13 against the hydra
>beat it first try with minimal difficulty
Is it meant to be so easy? My first time running a magic build, just spamming bufu and having a siren in my team made it a joke
Nocturne nostalgia is the silent hill 2 nostalgia of SMT. The one game that's drastically different from the rest of the mainline series that everyone played and so is considered the "canon" of the series.
Is that why they copied the blueprint for every game since not named strange journey?
What blueprint?
Only press turn, really. Which, yeah, was a great addition.
SMTIV wasn't Nocturne inspired at all. SMTV did attempt to go for Nocturne nostalgia bait, but the core gameplay loop is still very different since it almost completely abandoned the corridor dungeons.
3 is just the ff7 of smt
is there an item that lets me get the info on all the demons instead of just one?
>
there's no way I'm ever going to have a demon I feel like these are worth using on
i think you should give them to king frost since he's the king
keep believing anon
All the cool shit is late game unless you Alice/Idunn gay
Alice scales very well if you want to raise one.
RIP Idun. You will never be good again.
just save them for the superbosses and dump them all when you think you have a team you're set on
So we have to have two guests eating stock space for much of the game?
They have their own stock, they don't count.
When they leave your stock goes back to 16.
they don't eat stock space they're free
It's easiest to justify using these on a support demon that can be built with no weaknesses since you always need a support and making them tankier and have bigger mp pool is always a good thing. In base game I just dumped all of the incenses on Idun.
don't forget to loot Kiou Sword here
Idunn is the biggest loser of V. Golden Apple Nerfed, Tao usable in NG+, Sakuya much better than the original Idunn anyway.
Redundancy matters. Idun is great as a backup. Anyways, Golden Apple wasn't good because of the heal. It's good because it's an early luster candy that can overheal you with an investment of one extra slot.
She is confirmed she is married to thar African spider God, too. Why was that nessarary
just beat
yeah, time to beat
Do I understand this correctly, is this a partywide tetrakarn/makarakarn and charge/concentrate? This seems pretty strong
>taunt arahabaki
>everyone in the party gets taunt
HUUUUUGE
SPOILER THAT SHIT! I JUST GOT PROMOTED!
Think it might just mean tetrakarn/makarakarn not charge/concentrate.
Think tetrakarn counts for the "support" slot which is replaced by makarakarn or blocks if you cast those and charge/concentrate is the other slot that can also be overwritten.
>Use the Magatsuhi 4x attack ability
>Buff and dance to fill Magatsuhi bar again
>Use buffed Freikugel EX 4 times
This shit is busted, what other Magatsuhi skills are worth using to attack 4 times?
I've used 4x twilight wave against that lvl 99 abscess in taito, all four will go off even when it hits null phys. Big bang's probably better but I just didn't have a demon with that skill.
Is using Freikugel EX 4 times better than using the double MP double damage skills with something like Figment Slash?
I heard of a combo that uses strategize to make figment slash guy go 8 times in a row it might be better someone would have to do the numbers
magatsuhi 4x attack ability
neutral-neutral passing is free ability
figment slash 11 times on beano in 1 turn
stuck on final boss. the dragon. how do i beat it. my team is lv 95 idun, cerebus, nahobino and dominion boosted with every piece of buff candy i found so far magic at 88 knows all the dmg stuff. i just dont do enough dmg. how do i beat the final 3 bosses?
just hit the one weak to phys over and over. as long as youre killing 1 head a turn youre outdamaging the heal even if it takes forever. make a figment slasher if you really wanna go overkill
You mean Tiamat? Just spam AoE attacks. Those heads soak up all the HP.
what about the one after that?
use 1 element a turn, do not blow multiple elements at once or she will use her big attack faster, and do not use 0 elements or she will frick you up anyways
Just use piercing skills and keep healing. It's unfortunately a slogfest.
yeah shes so tanky i cant kill her. ugh. just spamming armagedon skills but then i run out of mana lol
You know you can save and restock after Tiamat right?
yeah its just not enough shes too tanky
just make a demon of every element or spam gems
is there even a pattern to her fricking BS? i just brute forced her
yeah. after she uses her big attack she becomes weak to every single element. after getting hit by an element she becomes immune to it and also starts attacking with it. after she's nulled to all elements or if you don't hit with an element for a bit she uses her big attack which resets her element resists again. the intended way is just spamming through all the elements for damage every turn one at a time
ty anon ill have to go back to drawing board
Man that sounds like a real b***h compared to Mastema. Mastema is just a straight, he has two press turns but he gets extra press turns if you hit a weakness or critical him. As a magic build I just never hit his weaknesses but it's probably more of a pain for a physical build.
Music is good though.
This strategy got me through the first phase with all my resources.
hot deity. can u summon her
I get the meming, but I have no idea how you're supposed to beat bosses on hard without dampeners, without gratuitous grinding. I beat hydra, on to the next fight.
Party composition will save you way more than dampeners, even though they do help. What's your level? What demons did you use for hydra?
Magatsuhi attacks still have elements, just get the right affinities and keep up your debuffs/buffs. You don't actually need them.
guarding prevents crits which is something
dampenerless seems mostly like a meme but it might be a fun challenge run
People not using dampeners are just actively being moronic, the game is designed around them
>People not using dampeners are just actively being moronic
They're baiting. No one has beaten this game without a single dampener.
DUDE
GUARD
LMAO
Lots of cope going around because deep down you know you took the easy braindead way out.
At least have SOME self respect and use X block support skills on demons.
>level 30 skills
What do you do until then, wise guy?
I've used phys block a lot but that's because phys dampeners are in limited supply
See, it should be like that for every other type.
I think it's a very reasonable balance change.
At least for Hard.
Normal, do whatever I don't care.
I just sold all my items because I was trying to get money for demons lol
It wasnt even worth much and I accidentally saved
Early game you just block
by midgame you start getting demons that learn [element] block skills
late game you bring a demon that drains their attack and cuck them out of all their turns
>Block
>Die anyway because double targeted MC and not stacking Vit like a gay, or all your demons die to the big AoE move
No I'll just use dampener.
So since I already fused a Black Frost and have it in my party, what will happen to the Black Frost in Ginza if I help out?
>Ginza
can you even access it in canon of vengeance?
no_______
So I don't have to worry about that then
I wonder how intensive the modding scene for Vengeance is going to get now that it's on PC. We can't expect a total conversion and I don't know how realistic it is to add new demons, but I'd really love to just see something as simple as a rebalance patch to give future runs longevity.
Base V has a couple rebalances but it mostly depends on how motivated people are of course
I love her
alright yall i built my tanky cerberus. please list more OP and fun / wacky builds for demons! and please hint at least how to obtain them or wehat skills to use. im excited to hear em 😀
flat
skullbro be smirking
UOOOOHHHHHH MARIN KARIN LANDED ON ME I LOVE MERMAID
this theme is so fricking good, what a great remix
So anyway, what happens to Miyazu in vengeance route? Like, she gets kidnapped and then randomly disappears when I checked the odaiba area before final boss.
This dog is fricking broken for when you get him
>phys resist
>easily fixable weakness
>basically free taunt with 2 buffs
>cheap as hell Diamrita
>Heavy phys and elec nuke
>free full hp revive
He carried me through bosses 6-7 levels above me with no issues
based, carrying the tradition of an overpowered dog demon carrying you
The funny thing is in the original game he's only available after you're locked into the chaos ending so he's a level 40 demon that you can get when everyone else is already level 80-90. I'm glad he finally gets a use because he was horrible in the original.
Remember in base V when he was the most disappointing demon ever?
Honestly no, probably because he was bad at that point lol.
Yup, fricker allowed me to rape the chimera, gogmagog and girimehkala, he can also solo heal for the most part, very, VERY, OP demon for level 40-55
Oh and I forgot. This homosexual has PHYS BLOCK way before anyone else.
tutorial monster...
he hit the gym
good mods to replace this guy with something more masculine?
https://gamebanana.com/mods/520539 something like this? anon?
I just dont want to play as a troony
https://gamebanana.com/mods/522340
Just wait for the CJbino replacement mod
guys how do i get Ra? i have horus and isis and mot but HOW do i get Ra? i did the questline but nothing shows up in my thingy
I played the switch version, should I start on a quick run of a canon of creation neutral run then NG+ newborn into vengeance? Its been a while since I played and I hear they even added new content to creation
Is there ANY WAY to use stock demons instead of registered ones during fusion like in SMT4A?
This is so fricking annoying
Yes, go recruit them again lol
I'm constantly doing that the moment I unlock new demon slots.
you can just summon the stock ones in the compendium.
What, really?
Maybe you just registered a stock demon and never used him.
Yes, really. That's why it's so fricking moronic that they removed the ability to choose to use the stock demon instead of registered one during fusion.
>it's real
I didn't even know that. Is this a new thing or was it always possible?
Still too expensive though, easier to just recruit a new one
isn't not even a 5 feature, this goes back to sjr or even older
only way I see is to make the stock ones in your inventory first and then dyad fuse
So you can't get the purple form back then? You're stuck with the blue form like a cuck?
its 2 fights bro
Yes and the entire grind to Demi-Fiend and Satan.
you can do those before being blue
Which I didn't, because I didn't expect to get fricked over like this.
haha
Frick you
frick you leather man
I'll show you who's the boss of this gym
Took the same screenshot lol
is she moronic how are you supposed to navigate with a card
Wait, did they nerf Idun in this version?
Golden apple heals less though that doesn't matter
Heals less and costs more. Which makes her a lot less useful early when she was a huge powerhouse.
No, golden apple still costs 180 mp at base like it did in the original.
Oh, so it's effectively nothing. Still using her for endgame regardless.
Yeah, it's basically going from Mediarama + Luster Candy to Media + Luster Candy. No giant loss. They just want to sell casuals the DLC.
Speaking of which, does boon boost work on the apples or is it specifically for support spells and apples is a healing spell?
Boon Boost works on it.
boon boost works with any buff/debuff regardless how it is applied, attack like fang breaker, healing like golden apple, even works with rasetsu/fairy doesn't matter it always works as long a buff or debuff is applied
It does. In base V and what I plan on doing for Vengeance is golden apple, both boon boosts, both heal pleromas, media, and then hamaon and a donum skill I guess.
Yes, they had to sell SUPERIOR JAPANESE GODDESS 100% NIPPON STEEL DLC. She's not as cute as Idun so who cares.
>She's not as cute
Literally the reason I didn't get the deluxe edition
At least in vanilla you had Artemis and fricking Cleo.
I pirated it instead
She also canonly married and fricked by an African black god
Would you rather a SMTIV remake or a new SMTVI?
no more fricking remakes
smt 6, 4 is fine as is
id rather see a smt6, smt4's 2d demon sprites are very charming and it would be a lot more expensive to recreate all of those cool particle 2d png effects in 3D.
A SMT VI with 2D sprites instead of 3D garbage
6, no point on digging up dead games
i wish there was a harder difficulty, hearing that normal got completely shafted in SMTVV is a shame. I sturggled a lot in normal back when i first played SMTV.
But there's a Hard difficulty....
needs to be a harder difficulty, back when i played nocturne/IV/V i perceived normal as the "hard" diffuclty, but from reactions online it seems SMTVV's normal is too normal.
Why does the main character look trans?
do we at least have dlc costumes or something to make them not look trans?
Doing Godborn playthrough right after your first one looks pretty intimidating
Satan was obviously meant for NG+, Atlus just fricked up some code.
im prefarming macca and gospels with the mitama dlc before i try it out
I’m thinking of respeccing into magic and I’m wondering if bino had some good new unique magic skills. Is that Paraselene Blur from the trailers phys or mag?
I just got the will of the samurai quest, how do I progress? I can't find a rail to the east side of Ginza (I'm post-Ishtar right now)
need a good debuffer/buffer what skills should i use?
Heh. Wrong game /vg/troon.
question still valid 😀
i play fun decks. like RDA
>i play fun decks. like [negate slop]
Nice.
>gold 2
KEKAROOOOOOOO let me guess, a Labtroon?
Cleo
Shiva
>beelzebubs innate makes his debuffs become full drops if there arent any angels or f*male demons in the party
>run him with the qadistu because they arent femmes
thanks bubs i needed my wife agrat to do even more fricking damage
i actually did the exact same thing, the qadistu are really strong with with agrat's crit innate
>No angels, No females, troony Destination
Are there no really no UMAs besides hare of inaba?
