Then you should be smart enough to realize that AC6 didn't get nominated for the action game category due to its virtues as a game or because people liked a mecha game but simply due to From Software being a very popular developer right now.

All the nominations have flaws, AC6 has flaws, it's still arguably the strongest nomination in that category.
Does bias play into it? Absolutely. Even people fans of Allen Wake 2 are confused at the voice actor nomination. I'm amazed the narrator didn't get nominated for BG3 instead of gay vampire (he did a fine job, but there's a lot of good voice acting in the game). We can't know what ratio of deserve to bias it is that these nominations are here, but at least in most cases there's some merit.
Hell even beyond this people have been calling AC6 a flop when it's the best selling AC, got great user reviews, and is still alive in spite of a short campaign and a netcode fricked multiplayer. You can't change the mind of the delusional. They'll point to the parent company noting reduced international sales and ignore Bamco saying "hell yeah more armored core". There's so much at now you can curate a data set to convince one's self of anything. Just how it is now
