far cry games, haven't bought 6 yet tho
Came here to say this. I like to just turn off my brain and blow shit up sometimes. 5 pissed me off with how it would interrupt my killing spree for gay Christian story bullshit, no matter what I'm doing or where I am.
Pokemon romhacks. Just romhacks. I tried playing the older games I loved so much but they suck, and the slow battles are painful with no fastforward. Romhacks are far better than the actual product. Fricking sad.
Fifa and I hate that I got back into it since 2005
Far Cry. I ended up buying the new one and it's pretty fun. It's definitely not super crazy revolutionary but it's fun to play. Not every game needs to be some ultra 2deep4u platformer that's a metaphor for depression, sometimes you just want to play a dumb shooter, and this is it.
Ubisoft sandbox games - especially Far Cry and Assassin's Creed.
They're not that interesting, but you get that small feeling of accomplishment when you tick off yet another box on the to-do list. Put on a podcast or something and check some boxes.
Overwatch but it's more battered wife syndrome than anything.
I have poor self control and constant brain fog that keeps me in this prison.
labeling your problems only makes you more prone to them
????
this
all I remember all the good times so I redownload and requeue, then instantly get yelled out on comms.
This game makes me feel pressure like no other game, I don't know what it is about it
is that how it works? How are you supposed to remedy an issue if you don't exactly know what it is
just mute them lol
impatient homies are not worth anyones time anyway, they are the type who ragequit when something doesn't go their way and immediately rejoin and ruin another game.
yeah you're probably right.
Whenever someone talks shit to me (in overwatch or otherwise) even if its some outrageous, groundless, uncalled for insult I internalize the hell out of it
And I cringe at stuff like this
where if I'm just having a shitty game or day and do terrible I feel like I'm burdening other people and the bad feelings just compound.
Even in QP trying to practice DPS I get so much shit, its just tiring sometimes
>I internalize the hell out of it
shit.... same
someone in BC2 insulted or something my vehicle driving in chat and I didn't drive the Bradley IFV for the next 2 months in game
I dunno how to stop it
I know bro, thats why I told you to mute them, ive been through the same thing. just usually without mics even involved (
people locking the lobby at 2/4 players in spelunky 2, then quit on 1-1 when they die once when you finally get a game going with 3 people (because the third readied up without waiting for 4 people too))
the correct response is to leave before a game starts and rejoin with people who don't suck, something which has become more difficult lately, you'd think there would be thousands more people online during a pandemic but no same 5 frickers every night.
You sound like a baddie. Don't play multiplayer games, you ruin them for everyone else
Sounds like me with Grind Thunder, literally getting the itch in the brain to play and then doing it cause it feels like easiest thing to do but its mostly grinding and getting stressed slowly trying to progress just to unlock the next tank/plane/ship you have to grind, repeat
I quit and so can you!
I feel like battle.net (blizzard launcher if you're unaware) doesn't show hour count to pull people into stuff like this
Possibly, once someone sees how many hours they have in a game like that you reassess if its worth keeping playing cause, frick, going over 1k hours it better be worth it and due to having so much fun and not due to grinding grinding grinding...
Akiba's Trip: Undead & Undressed
Anime fighting games like Ultimate Storm or the new Demon Slayer game
Conan Exiles for the barbaric sexy times
Succubus for the demonic sexy times
Vampire Rain cuz I think it’s a legitimately underrated stealth horror game that needs more loving
Skyrim
i don't feel guilty about the video games i play or the music i listen to and if you do you need a better relationship with yourself
it's not literal guilt you fricking moron
i wouldn't be so sure anon
This imo, what does guilty pleasure even mean, sounds like liking something but being insecure about liking it due to it being poplar or lowbrow is that it?
I take it as something you know isn't that good but you still enjoy it.
But the real definition is something you would be embarrassed for liking.
>something you would be embarrassed for liking.
you mean others knowing you like
It's more just being honest with yourself and being objective about the flaws that exists in some things that you like.
Pokémon Rumble World and Pokémon Shuffle
Too many hours on that shit.
operation raccoon city
lawbreakers, because of the beta, but before it was released and flopped.
All of them. Video games are ALL a waste of time.
This, you should be posting on Ganker instead
everything is a waste of time anon. if you're not carving it in stone it will be gone in two generations.
Assassin's Creed-series.
and just incase you don't believe me
what is your oldest living relative (that you knew in your life)s father or mothers name? like, your great grandfathers fathers name?
you don't know.
no google, no family tree bullshit.
everytime i have tried talking to my parents about their past history and life, they'd only ever give me vague details. they never really opened up to me about these things. so it's not my fault for not knowing.
> like, your great grandfathers fathers name?
Leopold.
Next question?
I don't have any, because I'm not an insecure homosexual who worries what c**ts on the internet will think about me liking certain games.
I like playing star wars battlefront 2 (the new one), and I know balancewise its a nightmare, but the goofy, stupid stuff you can do in that game makes my love for it genuine and unironic. I don't think its about insecurity or shame, its about liking games of crappy quality, and knowing theyre crappy but still loving them
senran kagura <3 already a cute girl, why not be a ninja one? :3
Stellaris.
It might be because I'm an ESL homosexual but I never understood the point of having a guilty pleasure. Either you enjoy it or not, why would you feel guilty about it? Nobody cares what games you like, so why do you obsess over it to the point that you feel guilty? Because some homosexual on Ganker might say that the game you like is bad? I will say that anyway, being guilty doesn't change that.
i think you may be missing some of the subtlety in which "guilty pleasure" is said and used because you're an ESL homosexual. it's what you said but also has to do with knowing that a game isn't objectively good, but you still have fun with it despite that.
But games are meant for enjoyment. If you enjoy the game, that means it's good. It doesn't mean it's flawless, but it means it's succeeding in its primary purpose so how can you argue it's a bad game when you enjoy it? Are you people really not able to enjoy things unironically, without distancing themselves as much as possible because they don't want to risk being associated with it because other people think it's bad?
I enjoy many games, some of which have serious and undeniable flaws. But they are not guilty pleasures because I genuinely like those despite their flaws. I acknowledge that others might not enjoy them because of this, but that doesn't change how I feel about them.
It is possible to realize something is flawed without thinking it is bad and needing to feel guilty about enjoying it.
I have well over 1500 hours in GTA Online and currently have at least 200 in Red Dead Online (and counting). Do I regret it? I'm not sure if "regret" is the right word, but the fact does make me feel uneasy
the borderlands franchise, and each game has its own reasons
For me it's the Trails series. I can't really get into any other jrpg anymore. I just play Trails, then i replay Trails. I have well over 1k hours played in the franchise. If i'm bored of it I play other genres. Right now i'm going through a metroidvania phase with Hollow Knight and Ori. Then when I feel like playing a jrpg again i'll just play Trails again. There's no guilt though which is what makes it great.
My -actual- guilty pleasures were shit like Dota 2, League, Warframe etc. Quit all of them years ago and never been happier.
I also put over 700 hours into RE6
Fortnite. Honestly its pretty fun. Frick the haters.
I would be fine with it if building didn't exist, which might just be a non statement because building is such a big part of it.
