Better SADX- it fixes most of the issues caused by the ports and increases its stability and makes the game look better by using the Dreamcast textures and lighting engine.
Nah, it's divisive because Sonic Team threw a metric ton of shit at the wall while still inexperienced with 3D and only parts of it really worked well enough. The ports just diminished the quality and exacerbated the problems.

i actually had it on a Dreamcast because i had older brothers. playing it today and then seeing the shitty ports really is night and day. every single problem people have with SA stems from the shitty ports and not the original release. SEGA really should have put more care into their ports.
Big is still in the original. So that's one problem out of hundereds that actually is in the original.
